You really are ****ing retarded. Someone had to say it. We spent most of the money in JANUARY FFS and have been on top 2 form since then. WTF do you want MONG boy? Who would we get that would do a better job than AP in a very short space of time? Changing the manager would be a ****ing DISASTER! I know you are one of very few that feel that way but you really are a ****ing sad mong brat on the wind up ALL the ******* time.

In 2010 in eleven league games I think we have two losses five wins four draws

I am not sure that is good enough

Cue the usual bilge from certain parts of the UK and Europe!!

Best to circumspect and accept that there is a 5 yrs plan..........a few months ago there was almost no club and much still needs to be done.

I may be in the minority but a top 10 finish after the angst of the last 12 mths will be a positive.

Spend the summer building the team spirit ready for a big push next year, and then is when AP should be judged in my view.

That was awful. We looked like we just didn't care. No-one put any effort in whatsoever.

Lambert, Spiderman, Puncheon, Hammond were all awful and had their worst games for us. When you have 4 key players off the ball, it's not good. Jaidi & Fonte were awful with their distribution all game.

Puncheon was bad, really bad. Lallana wasn't much better. A bad day for us, and all but ends any glimmer we had of the play offs.

Their goal did look offside to me - Can anyone confirm this? Swindon didn't look special, and after getting the goal were more then happy to sit back and protect the lead. They won't go up however.

expect i will be called a troll etc but i was there so here goes.......all over then first half, didnt take our chances and let need by swindon missing the best chance of the half. Second half they nullified our main threat in puncheon, and our one dimensional approach of 'lump it at lambert' was easily dealt with by the swindon back 4. Our team is crying out for some pace. Very poor 2nd half.

and they had 10 men

3 points from 9, but sure we will walk this league next season

this one is definitly over......could be game over for AP soon imo

Exactly what i said walking away from the ground. Could this be the last straw for Pards because Cortese will not be happy??

Thought Swindon played very well, and stood up to a lot of pressure. This is what -10 points and bad starts don't allow for. Season over. Let's enjoy the rest of it.

Andy - were you there?

You must be if you say you thought Swindon played very well unless you were basing your opinion on radio commentary? Surely not.

agree, 2nd half lacked any spark or creativity from us.

they did well to mark Adam and Punch out of the game, but it didn't help that lambo had a pretty rubbish all-round game today. When he plays well, we play well.

You really wouldn't want to go to a game with either of them, would you...! Imagine being sat between them..... doooh ;)

Absolutely! Thank god they're far enough away just to post bilge on the internet and not spout utter bilge at SMS. Oh well, on to my first trip to Wimbledon.

Hmmm, not really sure what to say.

First half it was all us, if only one of our chances went in. Second half they took the game to us and fully deserved their win.

I would just like to know just how good our scouting system is. We get Papa Waigo, they get Charlie Austin.....

tbf we've only had our scouting system setup for 6 months, we'll reap the rewards after a while - and Papa wasn't a player scouted, he was a recommendation made to Cortese through his contacts.

A fair appraisal.

We could have won if one of those 1st H chances went in but 2nd H Swindon were by far the superior team and we looked totally clueless.

I think Pardew got found out tonight!

That has got to go down as a very bad day at the office, for all the things we got right against Leeds we got wrong tonight, we could not cross the road or pass water. Has anyone else got a crick in their neck for all the looking up in the air. It was a case of missed chances at times in the first half the ball was like a pin ball in their box.

Too narrow, too static, too bereft of ideas.

Swindon made us look like fools at times.

In the first 15 minutes you could see Pardew's game plan. Keep it narrow, keep it compact sending out a signal to Swindon that we were frightened of them.

Lambert worked hard without really threatening.

Schneiderlin tried his best but because of the narrowness had no outlet.

Defence was OK although not at their best.

Davis is just not good enough. Not blaming him for the goal, he tried his best but too many long ineffective kicks and although he is a good shot stopper that is it. As a friend said sat next to me, he is like a brick wall...everything bounces off of him.

Pardew is a decent Manager at this level but lacks the positivity it takes to be a winner.

Many players had an off day but Pardew did nothing at half time to change the shape, width or general tactics.

Very disappointed.

Swindon played very well and probably deserved the win, tactics spot on as they hit us quick on the break and scored that way although possibly offside. We hit the woodwork twice and had two off the line, if we had scored when we were well on top different story as they wouldn't have been able to play on the counter. We weren't as bad as everyone is making out but we weren't good either, Puncheon had two on him all the time so allowed little space. Our crossing was awful and we seemed to run out of ideas with about 20 mins to go and humped it forward all the time. James was dire when he came on, hes not played for a while and it cant have helped his confidence when his first touch was awful and the crowd were on his back straight away, that said though, he was terrible. Rickie unlucky to hit the bar with a great effort. All in all though not good enough, on paper who in the Swindon team would you pick ahead of the saints team? , too many of our players not quite at it today, unlike saturday to many lose balls, poor delivery from crosses and a ran out of ideas, to much hoofing it long.

First half we did well, not flying out the traps in recent games but we created chances and Swindon were lucky not to be 1 or even 2 down at the break. Second half a different team came out, one which couldn't complete a pass, left themselves open and felt pumping the ball somewhere near Rickie was the best way to win. Swindon ran the show second half and we created nothing of note (except Rickie's crossbar hit).

The fact they had 10 men meant nothing at 1-0, it just means the team goes 4-4-1 and digs in even more.

Bad:

Fonte - very poor in comparison to saturday

Jaidi - Seemed sloppy and had rings run around him near the end

James - Impact play? Don't make me laugh, he didn't complete a single cross in 25 minutes

Lallana and Puncheon - Both ran a lot, tried and failed to take on players, losing the ball far too often.

Hammond - Poor with passing

The Good:

Lambert still put in 100%

The traffic was pretty quiet after the game

Any lingering hopes of the play-offs have now gone and we can look to Wembley and next season, but Pardew is still the right man for the job.

Swindon came down here with a game plan of defending in numbers in the first half and rode their luck a little and it held out for them. I don't know if they had a scout at the Leeds game but they nullified the left boot of Puncheon by simply doubling up on him to to remove his option of cutting back inside. Lambert looked a good yard or two off the pace of the game.

In the second half, they stopped sitting back and instead harassed us, chasing down the ball at every opportunity and when they did win the ball, they were able to use it far more effectively than us. Just before their goal, they strung together a sequence of twenty passes covering the entire pitch and it's at that point that I thought "Oh b*ll*cks! They're in the play-off positions for a reason and we're about to find out why."

Its been said many times but it doesnt make it any less valid. Norwich and Charlton always had a way better chance than us to make a good go of it this season. Yes Saints have spent the money but only really in January. Next season will be our time. Play offs were gone a long time so don't know how anyone can be upset about it.

However, our overall league performance has been poor, you can't get away from that. Without the ten point deduction we would still be a reasonable distance from the playoffs.

What has been poor? The fact that there isn't instant success? Yes, Ok. I agree. But..

1. Our home games have been consistently enjoyable to watch; good football, real desire to win and no one dragging his feet. The team attitude has been excellent this season, both home and abroad. And the prior two seasons one could say that for at most one game in four.

2. We were bankrupt just nine short months ago! Bankrupt! Gone! Pompey-esque! A non-club, ciao! See ya! Wouldn't wanna be ya!

Just enjoy our club. Enjoy being apart of something wholesome, something central to our City, our community and our hearts. If you really do want instant gratification then go down the docks. I'm sorry, I had more points to add to the two above, but I am out of time.

But let me leave you with this: If you want to be part of something then get involved; buy a ticket to the crappy 0-0 away mid-week draws. Be in the number which marches up to Carlisle on a rain-soaked night. Spend money, effort and tears supporting your club. Then, then you might understand that Rome was not built in one day. Then, I guess, you might be grateful for a Wembley ticket.

I thought Lambert looked dis-interested.

Davis as our play-maker, from our own half? Really? We are a long ball team, it seems.

How bad were our crosses/corners tonight as well?

Connolly should have come on before Waigo, Connolly looked dangerous, Waigo didn't.

Schneiderlin played ok.

Jonathan Douglas looked the best Midfielder on the pitch though IMO

Just dont know how anyone can say swindon were the better side.

ok we were well below par,too many key players had a poor game but i would give them the first 15mins of the 2nd half thats it.

Dissapointed but can see progress has been made ,AP will be under pressure next season but to slate him now is comical.

Deflated..... It just wasnt our night, I actually think our players put a lot of effort in tonight and seemed to want to win, however Swindon were just very good at stopping us getting any kind of rythm going and didnt give us an inch of space.

Was sat in Itchen Block 9 and it was dead too!!!! Not sitting there again, hardly any clapping, cheering and singing was clearly a definate no no..... cross that part of the stadium off my list for my season ticket seat next season!

Hopefully can enjoy the remainder of games without all the nerves and pressure. My nails might even grow back!

One of those games where it just didn't happen. Too many Saints players had poor games - Davis, Thomas, Fonte, Jaidi, Hammond, Schneiderlin. Harding was OK, Lallana too, Lambert and Barnard so-so. Puncheon just couldn't do a thing right, and the same went for James for the brief time he was on the pitch. Too many passes went astray, we were beaten to the ball far too often.

That said, we might well have won if we'd taken one of our chances in the first half. And the goal was shocking comic cuts stuff - dreadful ball from Fonte, pinged around then ran forward for Austin, with no defender within several yards of him.

Swindon, while hardly giving a footballing master class, still did enough to win the game. We weren't given any time on the ball, and they always seemed to have two players on Puncheon and Lallana in particular. But we should be good enough to counter that. Tonight we weren't.

What an absolute disgrace. Everytime a team gets in our faces and closes us down we crumble. We need an experienced creative midfielder for these sorts of games. The Idiakez sort but better. I don't think Pardew is good enough to win the league next season so might as well get rid of him after the JPT final.
