Arizona Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 Bummer. Glad I couldn't go now. Still c'est la vie, onwards and upwards and all that sh*t.
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 (edited) Same old ****! Anyone who thinks the JPT final will be a walk in the park is sadly mistaken. I can see us coming away with **** all. Whenever we need to win we seem to **** it up. A **** performance always seems to follow a great one. Edited 16 March, 2010 by Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 Load of toilet! And those ****s are singing that god awful "E I E I E I O" song
Bromley Saint Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 Oh well, let's focus on the Wembley trip instead!
View From The Top Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 Still, at least Glasgow and Alpine have had good evenings.
John B Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 At the beginning of the season we were ten points away from the play offs After 35 games we are sixteen points from the play offs I was hoping for a little better with all the money which has been spent
ponto1963 Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 Oh bum. JPT back to back wins & League champions next year then.
dubai_phil Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 Groan. Well played Swindon well set up..... And all that. Luckily setting up new laptop 2moro so luckily won't be reading this place all day Solent defending AP
VectisSaint Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 Crap day in the office tomorrow then, if we had to be doubled by anyone this season why did it have to be Swindon? Still luckily even in Swindon there aren't many Swindon supporters
Glasgow_Saint Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 same **** 3 points from 9, but sure we will walk this league next season this one is definitly over......could be game over for AP soon imo
SO16_Saint Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 why is it that whenever we win we're great but when we lose were sh!t? Never that the other team played well.... get a grip people, we cant/wont win every game.

Ponty Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 Bloody hell, work phoned with 2 minutes to go... Guess I didn't miss anything.

Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 Forget the league now; enjoy the trip to Wembley; enjoy the wins we get before the end of the season; then everything HAS to be focussed on promotion next year. A good start next year is a must for AP or Dean Wilkins will be starting a stint as caretaker boss...

Saint_Jonny Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 Meh, im annoyed that a team like "swindon tiny club fc" can come to st.marys and win, but **** it, its a one off this season so lets move on quickly.
Redondo Saint Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 How very irritating!! I don't get how we can be so inconsistent. Is it the players or an inability to change tactics? I hope the attendances don't start to fall away now that promotion is out of the question. Oh well. Wembley and next season should be good....
Leicestersaint Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 Lack of consistency - same old Sants. We won't get promoted next season if we carry on losing to Tranmere, Brighton, Swindon, Bristol Rovers, etc. We simply have to become more consistent.

alpine_saint Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 So, the playoffs fly out of the window without so much as whimper. Poor, has to be said. Another mid-week off night..........
Saint Billy Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 (edited) Should have guessed really. As good as we have been at times we are still too damn inconsistent as always. Until we can put that trait to bed we will not gain promotion. Edited 16 March, 2010 by Saint Billy
dan17 Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 Really thought we'd win tonight.........gutted. Owe a Swindon fan £10 as well now ffs. Feels like a long time until league matches will really matter again. ********.

St Landrew Posted 16 March, 2010 Author Posted 16 March, 2010 Thought Swindon played very well, and stood up to a lot of pressure. This is what -10 points and bad starts don't allow for. Season over. Let's enjoy the rest of it.

1976_Child Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 dubai_phil said: Phew, it's all Pinnacle's fault txt to Solent No, its Pardew's fault. He knew when he took this job that if we ever lost at SMS he would be flame-fried and liquidated on the center circle. He is completely to blame that we are now a complete basket-case of a football club. And it is all his fault that, in the space of three days, we have gone from awesome Leeds-killers to useless Swindon-fodder. Frankly he should be utterly ashamed of himself. He is obviously a useless manager and has done nothing for our club since he came. Everything, on every Saints fan's mind tonight, is Pardew's fault. If I ever get my hands on that man....
TopGun Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 It's really not good enough after the cash spent though. We need a proper midfielder at CCC level who can run a game at L1 next season. Without that we will continue to suffer from inconsistency... i.e dropped points.
Yate Saint Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 I love this winning mentality. Lets all hope that we improve and that Saints will be the first winners of the NPower Football League One next season. COYR.

Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 To be honest, I kind of feel better knowing it's 99% certain we won't be in the playoffs this year. All that desperately hoping we win every game nonsense to scrape in was beginning to get tiresome. To my mind, we should experiment with the players we've got for the rest of the season; work on formations, plans B, C & D, identify areas where we're short and who can be got rid of and get ourselves in a bloody shape for next year.

hasper57saint Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 Well thats knocked the wind out of a few sails. We'll stuff 'em etc. Once again there's no consistency. Enjoy Wembley and look forward to next season. No team, anywhere, wins every game and we ain't no different. We're just Saints. Same old.....
ericofarabia Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 Little reality check .... no L1 team has lost less games on the road, only 2 have won more away ... and they were already ahead of us even before the -10. It goes against the grain, but it looks like we were out played tonight  In my head teams like Swindon should be cannon fodder but a look at the league table is a harsh reminder of just how low we have fallen, but are on the way back up.
John B Posted 16 March, 2010 Posted 16 March, 2010 Quote Apart from 5 goals each against Walsall and Huddersfield and win over Leeds... Yes but we have not got any nearer the play offs have we and Pompey beat us 4 1
