I thought he did a good job. Not sure anyone would do better at Hull.

Really, are you sure that out of all the managers in the world, there isnt one that could do a better job than Brown.

Each to their own I suppose.

Indeed. To turn your point around, can you name a manager who categorically would do better than Brown in exactly the same situation?

No one else would be attracted to the Hull job who would do better IMO.

Should have been doing better with the players at the club. Did a fantastic job getting them to the Prem but couldn't cut it with the big boys.

What players of quality does he have?

Amen. They should be building a statue of the guy outside the stadium not sacking him. Quite who they think they're going to get in now who will have a better chance of keeping them up is beyond me.

I'm quite surprised. He was never the new Cloughie, though. An entertaining character, nonetheless, even with that Humber Bridge BS he came out with.

Can't stand the bloke and clearly not good enough for the premiership.

Hull aren't good enough for the Premier League full stop. They are only there because Brown took them up and frankly he's suffered for that overachievement ever since. If he's spent the last couple of seasons finishing eighth/seventh/ninth in the CCC he'd still be in a job.

That's probably true but I am hearing all sorts of rumours up here about why he was sacked.

Have the club stated that he has gone for 'footballing reasons' at all?

Who do people seriously think they will try to tempt into the hotseat who might possibly be able to get hem playing well again? No time for an astute wheeler dealer, it will have to be a motivator imho. Ergo, AP will be staying with us for the time being.

It shows the price of failure and how important the Premiership is to people. If, or rather when, we get back to the Premiership, I hope we have some seriously good investment, if not the current set up, and use it wisely, because the only way to become an established force in the Premiership is to have money and use it wisely.

I didn't mind Brown, Hull have made a stupid decision, although I notice that they've only put him on gardening leave, so perhaps WHEN they go down, they'll re-appoint him?

Did he rape those WI members, and the Barmby / Bullard thing was a cover up.

Rumour I heard was that he impregnated the daughter of one of the club's most senior officials.

But it is a rumour.......
