ladysaint Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 so who is up for this one, it must be a new ground for a lot of us including myself so if away attendances are falling as fast as home attendances we should be lucky to get about 500 - 600 there.
bungle Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 I'm making the trip up to Donny. Disappointed we have to go to a soulless plastic bowl stadium, though.
ladysaint Posted 22 September, 2008 Author Posted 22 September, 2008 I'm making the trip up to Donny. Disappointed we have to go to a soulless plastic bowl stadium, though. Just hope we dont have to watch soulless plastic football as well.
surrey1saint Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 We will be back to winning ways,I feel it in my bones!
Window Cleaner Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 Just hope we dont have to watch soulless plastic football as well. Commitment-the saviour of soul.
Saints foreva Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 Got two tickets for this one. Come on Saints fans lets get at least 1000 up there or we will just get more teams bad mouthing our support.
Guest Hacienda Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 I'll be there as it's another new ground.
Sheff Saint Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 I'll be there. On my own again. (What a loser!) Can't persuade the wife to go to any at the mo and none of my mates want to travel up for this one!!
Kaiser Soze Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 I will be there with a few others. Shame they moved grounds as I'd have prefered the terraces at their old place. They're on as bad a run as us so there is a chance we might pick up something...
Shroppie Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 Going with a mate and my daughter. So that's 3 more Got a good feeling too - might just get a win.
Hatch Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 I shall be going to this one, you lucky people.
Saints67 Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 Me and my lad are going. Does this mean we're into double figures for those travelling?
ladysaint Posted 22 September, 2008 Author Posted 22 September, 2008 We are into double figures easily our 17 seater minibus is full.
Ewell Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 I'm making the trip up to Donny. Disappointed we have to go to a soulless plastic bowl stadium, though. How are you getting there? I would like to go but I have made no plans to yet.
oldsarum Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 We are into double figures easily our 17 seater minibus is full. Getting up to nearer 3 figures at least 36 London saints on train.
ivangolac Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 Me + 3 , 7.45 train from Eastleigh :drinkers: :partyman: :smt038:
Chez Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 Northern games will always get a decent crowd as the `expats' always take advantage of a game on their doorstep. I'll be driving up. No chance of persuading any of my mates to go and struggling to persuade my old man to join me...even with a free ticket!
half time pie Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 I,m going. Me and 2 mates on the travel club . Coach 2. Come on Saints , lets make some noise!
dannysfc Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 I,m going. Me and 2 mates on the travel club . Coach 2. Come on Saints , lets make some noise! surrey1saint Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 How are you getting there? I would like to go but I have made no plans to yet. Travel club
Michelle Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 Away attendances aren't dropping like they are at home, we've had decent turnouts so far. I'ma going, staying oop north for the weekend. Gonna be a goodun'. (Matt, while people are asking questions - had any thought about time and location of first beverages?)
saint.tom.clancy Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 Bought my tickets last Friday and had sold 1000 then so i was told.
bungle Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 How are you getting there? I would like to go but I have made no plans to yet. Train. 0730 from Bristol Temple Meads. Gets in to Donny at 1215. Got it for £22 return. Away attendances aren't dropping like they are at home, we've had decent turnouts so far. I'ma going, staying oop north for the weekend. Gonna be a goodun'. (Matt, while people are asking questions - had any thought about time and location of first beverages?) I have had no thoughts, although I have been informed there is a Wethies by the train station which might be good to meet in. However, that won't have the Merseyside derby on.
krissyboy31 Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 Got mine (+1) on Saturday before the game. regretting it somewhat after. Still, new ground for Saints (although I have been before for non-footballing occasion).
Neil Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 I'm going, chance to tick off another new ground and should be a decent game. Seems that people are more up for away games at the moment, probably not surprising.
Michelle Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 (edited) I have had no thoughts, although I have been informed there is a Wethies by the train station which might be good to meet in. However, that won't have the Merseyside derby on. Blah blah blah, move along, nothing to see here... (Yes, I know it's been quoted, but anyway...) Edited 22 September, 2008 by Michelle Being a 'tard.
Appy Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 I really want to go, just not prepared to go all that way on my own. None of my friends are crazy enough to go with me.
bungle Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 And it's 20 miles from Don Valley Stadium. Part of me thinks go into Donny so we can actually say we've been there as part of the day out, part of me thinks find somewhere nearer the ground earlier on i.e. Sheffield. Saying that, I'm pretty sure we're staying in Donny, not Sheffield. Saying that, I can't even find a booking confirmation for the hotel at the moment. I'm very confused. Doncaster Rovers play at the Keepmoat Stadiun. You are confusing yourself.
ottery st mary Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 Rotherham playing for the present in Sheffield Athletics stadium.
pilsburydoughboy Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 I shall be going to this one, you lucky people. It will be a reunion of faces from the ford. What time is your Train from London?

pilsburydoughboy Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 I'm driving to Rotherham , training it from there. Does this mean that you will be either watching the game sober, drinking heavily and driving home or staying up north for the night?
Hatch Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 Does this mean that you will be either watching the game sober, drinking heavily and driving home or staying up north for the night? I drive up in wifes car, she drops me off, and goes and does whatever it is women do on Saturday afternoons, I get ****ed, She drives me home again.
Michelle Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 Doncaster Rovers play at the Keepmoat Stadiun. You are confusing yourself. Oh poop. I've got tomorrow night on the brain. I knew there was a reason I came home from work ill today.

Guest Hacienda Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 Can you pay on the day as my mate has just told me he's forgotten to buy the tickets and he's off golfing for a couple of days?
Window Cleaner Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 I drive up in wifes car, she drops me off, and goes and does whatever it is women do on Saturday afternoons, I get ****ed, She drives me home again. Out of interest does anyone know what women actually do on(usually) alternate Saturday afternoons from mid-August until mid May, or is this what they're trying to find out with the LHC (which is current "hors service" or fooked as we say in colloquial English)
Shroppie Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 Out of interest does anyone know what women actually do on(usually) alternate Saturday afternoons from mid-August until mid May, or is this what they're trying to find out with the LHC (which is current "hors service" or fooked as we say in colloquial English) Mine's going to Ladies Day at Chester races. I'm finding it hard work explaining what an each way bet is, and it's got nothing to do with which horse gets back to the start first Still, gives me free rein.
Donny Saint Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 I've just ordered my tickets. Will be taking the wife if my son can't get the time off work. .. and I think we'll be walking to the stadium.
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 Train. 0730 from Bristol Temple Meads. Gets in to Donny at 1215. Got it for £22 return.
