bungle Posted 12 March, 2010 Share Posted 12 March, 2010 Tea on the first day, 243/2. Carberry made 30 on debut, on the radio they said he looked good, but got out playing an aggressive shot. Cook has made a ton, and Pietersen has made 50!!
keithd Posted 12 March, 2010 Share Posted 12 March, 2010 aye, fair knock from Carbs maybe after getting to 30 really should have pushed on to 50. and good to see KP 70* i know its only bangladesh but its still a decent knock

jeff leopard Posted 12 March, 2010 Share Posted 12 March, 2010 Rats c*cks. KP out for 99. Bloody left arm spin again... He must be utterly gutted to miss out on the hundred he was desperate for. Still, according to TMS he played beautifully, much more like the KP of old. View From The Top Posted 12 March, 2010 Share Posted 12 March, 2010 Who (apart from the current Bangladesh captain) wins a toss on a pitch like that and then puts the opposition in?
chrisobee Posted 12 March, 2010 Share Posted 12 March, 2010 Who (apart from the current Bangladesh captain) wins a toss on a pitch like that and then puts the opposition in? Ricky Ponting !? England v Aussies at Egdbaston 2005
Nellie Posted 12 March, 2010 Share Posted 12 March, 2010 Who (apart from the current Bangladesh captain) wins a toss on a pitch like that and then puts the opposition in? The pitch isn't that similar, but Nasser Hussain's decision to field at Brisbane in 2002 was a stinker that takes some beating. Asking Australia to bat was like inviting a 7ft tall mugger (well, 6ft 2in in Matthew Hayden's case) to hit you over the head with a club because you think you have what it takes to turn the tables. Steve Waugh has made a career of giving little away in his face, but at that point his lifelong impersonation of Buster Keaton was probably under as much threat as his place in the Australian side. Lets B Avenue Posted 12 March, 2010 Share Posted 12 March, 2010 Fancy not sending our strongest team out to Bangladesh. It must be quite upsetting for the locals and devalues the entire test match. Just where are Messers. Agnew, Botham, Hussein and Gower FFS?

chrisobee Posted 24 March, 2010 Share Posted 24 March, 2010 And so without anyone really caring, not even knowing, England win the series 2-0 ! http://www.cricinfo.com/bdeshveng2010/engine/current/match/426424.html
Hatch Posted 24 March, 2010 Share Posted 24 March, 2010 2-0 win in the away leg should see us through when they come back to England in May for the next matches. Away tests count double!

Would be somewhat of a worry if we had to rely on the away wins rule!
