The first 20 female submariners will sail on Vanguard-class subs carrying Trident nuclear missiles. But allowing women on submarines could lead to sex scandals, it was claimed last night. Some Navy chiefs fear Wrens and male sailors living together in close quarters will break strict "no touching" rules. Initially, five women officers will be deployed with each of the four Vanquish-class nuclear subs' 135-strong crew. But a naval source said last night: "There is concern over what might happen. Viking Warrior Posted 9 March, 2010 Share Posted 9 March, 2010 Mthew Le God there will be problems if you had an all female crew. the boat wouldnt get out of the hartbour as they would all be *****ing whether to travel the scenic route etc etc Besides who is going to do the heavy lifting inside the boat. Im sure Dell days will add to this unless he has already committed suicide after the annoucement.

I would have thought a basic grasp of the English language was a requirement...

Thedelldays Posted 9 March, 2010 Share Posted 9 March, 2010 looks like it may happen on the V class subs...which is a class of sub I have never served on and likely never will..they have a small seperate bunk space that has a small adjacent heads/shower room. I only have a few more years left of "sea time" so will 99% avoid going to sea with females on submarines.. IMO, this is the beginning of the end of end of the SM service.. but that is just my opinion.

Crab Lungs Posted 10 March, 2010 Share Posted 10 March, 2010 Have a submarine with a crew of 135 woman and remove the problem. Ah, but it still doesn't remove incompetence. And the dishes don't wash themselves. The kids don't pick themselves up from school and the dinner certainly doesn't make itself. *dons appropriate innernet tin helmet and armor*
