Give it to Ron Posted 8 March, 2010 Author Posted 8 March, 2010 what is it you need doing, as i have a builder / handy man who may be able to help with stuff?? Double Glazing. Will not tconsider Anglian, Pure, Apple or Safestyle.
Channon's Sideburns Posted 8 March, 2010 Posted 8 March, 2010 (edited) Double Glazing. Will not tconsider Anglian, Pure, Apple or Safestyle. I used a company called DWC based in Walkford near Xch. You can quote yourself online first, and they supply only or supply and fit. They came out £1500 cheaper than Apple or Safestyle for me. (Just an extra bit.... Apple's deal was ok, but still more expensive than necessary. Safestyle's BOGOF deal is a con. They were quoting based on £1000 per WINDOW...he gave me the quote and I said, 'When does the 50% get deducted then?' 'It has been' he said. I showed him the door. Jillyanne Posted 8 March, 2010 Posted 8 March, 2010 Use an independant - I know two people who could help if you are local.
OldNick Posted 8 March, 2010 Posted 8 March, 2010 Double Glazing. Will not tconsider Anglian, Pure, Apple or Safestyle. Cara glass in salisbury are a good firm and you can talk to him about price. He has a good crew who work for him. he is a massive Salisbury city fan and so talk footy and that will help. Only sad thing is a lot of his mates support Pompey

Ron I am near you and used Pro Glaze at Maybush Did the due diligence of 3 other quotes and the quote from Pro Glaze was competitive No hard sell and they turned up on time, were polite and tidy. Had a slight snag after fitment which they sorted out quickly and also put a seal on my conservatory which wasnt their responsibility They are a Check a Trade firm I am sure there are others out there equally as good but personal recommendation has always helped me in the past

They were £100 cheaper than my other quote and installed a decent quality window (Pilkington, toughened safety glass etc).
spyinthesky Posted 8 March, 2010 Posted 8 March, 2010 what is it you need doing, as i have a builder / handy man who may be able to help with stuff?? Bridgey I may need to find someone to insulate my loft. Its not a straightforward job as it is not possible to stand upright in the loft and there are some obstructions and electrical cables to consider. Needs an agile person with an idea of what their doing which rules me out!! Would your man be capable do you think?
