equalizer Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 :smt026:smt026:smt026:smt026 Bloody funny!
equalizer Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 Quick rename this thread, "The official Man City 6 Pompey 0 thread" and start the Harry excuses sweepstake. I'm going for, "The players were tired after playing on Thursday!" excuse!
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 I wonder how long it will be before we hear from PES? I'm going for the "The FA need to change the way the season works, how can we be expected to play 3 games in a week?" excuse.
equalizer Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 Lets hope this lifts the Guimares players to overturn that 2-0 deficit. Pompey's creaking defence just can't handle fast attacking football, it could have been double figures according to five live!
OVER THE HILL Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 HR will say "We were down to the bare bones, we need more players"
saint_stevo Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 Villa did alright with the whole 3 games in a week thing tho eh....
mack rill Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 Arry was lost for words said we were utter shyt:mad: Still if your going to get your arses kicked it might as well be a BIG Boot.
Deppo Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 Like we're not going to get beaten by a similar margin sooner or later...
Junction 9 Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 Like we're not going to get beaten by a similar margin sooner or later... Doncaster away next.
Johnny Shearer Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 Ah its good to see them being brought down a level or two.
Robsk II Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 Arry was lost for words said we were utter shyt:mad: Still if your going to get your arses kicked it might as well be a BIG Boot. I assume you also think that if you are going to get ass-f*cked, it might as well be a big c*ck?
equalizer Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 Also worth a mention. Spurs 0 Wigan 0. Spurs still bottom and a relegation six-pointer coming up next Sunday at Pompey!!
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 Arry was lost for words said we were utter shyt:mad: Still if your going to get your arses kicked it might as well be a BIG Boot. Despite their new found wealth I would hardly describe Man City as a 'big boot' quite yet! But many thanks to the inhabitants of that far flung Eastern Hampshire island for lifting my spirits. For once I can honestly say that schadenfreude has a nice taste to it sometimes!
Colinjb Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 I really do think that a bigger name will buy the farm this year. Should be great to watch.
Junction 9 Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 I really do think that a bigger name will buy the farm this year. Should be great to watch. I thought they'd split up years ago.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 I thought they'd split up years ago. Nah, they're Altogether Now.
Big Poppa Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 Quality lol :smt005 Man City - Pompey: highlights http://www.101greatgoals.com/videodisplay/1585823/
PES Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 Returned from Canada this morning. Went to bed with the intention of staying away from the result. I've just watched it on Football First. I feel ill and very disappointed with the hammering, Pompey were woeful. To cap it all off I have to return to work tomorrow after a week off, which you'll be pleased to know has left me feeling thoroughly miserable. Sh*t does happen and we move on. We'll get it back on track against Spurs.
Corporate Ho Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 Definitely a bad day at the office. Still, City are going to be right up there this season IMO and as our other defeats were against the two finalists of last years Champs League I don't see how that makes us relegation candidates. On a brighter note, at least it wasn't as bad as this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sport/football/fa_carling_premiership/256050.stm

On a brighter note, at least it wasn't as bad as this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sport/football/fa_carling_premiership/256050.stm Surely it's equally as bad as that? At least we scored. And we were playing a team who were clearly a lot better than us. Man City are supposed to be your equals.
PES Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 Surely it's equally as bad as that? At least we scored. And we were playing a team who were clearly a lot better than us. Man City are supposed to be your equals. Obviously not any more!

mack rill Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 Lol. The effort this man goes to! Good one Corp!......im feeling like Sunday never happened;) Welcome back Pes, You only missed the wrist slitting attitude on the main board Saturday night.
Scummer Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 I've been looking for hours, but unfortunately there is no youtube footage of this game: Record defeat 0-10 v Leicester City, 1928 So we'll just have to settle for this (can't link directly but it's easy enough to find): http://www.football.virginmedia.com/page/Football/PremierLeague/VideoIndex/0,,12555,00.html David James had a shocker didn't he.

We scored and the deficit was the same. And we knew we were sh*t, we weren't in Europe and we didn't have "the best english manager ever FACT official ltd".

OldNick Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 did HR do anyt interviews as he normally sends the others out after a bad result. Im a bit gutted as I have James Campbell and Johnson in my dreamteam!! That'll teach me. Pompey will still do well this season but it did help the week end.
