Arry was lost for words said we were utter shyt:mad:

Still if your going to get your arses kicked it might as well be a BIG Boot.

Despite their new found wealth I would hardly describe Man City as a 'big boot' quite yet!

But many thanks to the inhabitants of that far flung Eastern Hampshire island for lifting my spirits. For once I can honestly say that schadenfreude has a nice taste to it sometimes!

Returned from Canada this morning. Went to bed with the intention of staying away from the result. I've just watched it on Football First. I feel ill and very disappointed with the hammering, Pompey were woeful. To cap it all off I have to return to work tomorrow after a week off, which you'll be pleased to know has left me feeling thoroughly miserable.

Sh*t does happen and we move on. We'll get it back on track against Spurs. :(

Definitely a bad day at the office. Still, City are going to be right up there this season IMO and as our other defeats were against the two finalists of last years Champs League I don't see how that makes us relegation candidates.

On a brighter note, at least it wasn't as bad as this:

Surely it's equally as bad as that? At least we scored.

And we were playing a team who were clearly a lot better than us. Man City are supposed to be your equals.

I've been looking for hours, but unfortunately there is no youtube footage of this game:

Record defeat

0-10 v Leicester City, 1928

So we'll just have to settle for this (can't link directly but it's easy enough to find):

David James had a shocker didn't he.

Actually ours was slightly better. We scored and the deficit was the same.

And we knew we were sh*t, we weren't in Europe and we didn't have "the best english manager ever FACT official ltd".
