Ewell Posted 6 March, 2010 Posted 6 March, 2010 If the team do not make the play offs this season will you see this is a failure or will you stay supportive to Alan Pardew and give him the time he needs so that he can bring the league title back to St Marys's next season!

Got a feeling this is going to be the most common question they get. I do hope Solent dont bottle out of asking it.

Fitzhugh Fella Posted 6 March, 2010 Posted 6 March, 2010 Was the purchase of Southampton FC by ML purely a financial investment. Has that changed ie is there a developing emotional investment?

WealdSaint Posted 6 March, 2010 Posted 6 March, 2010 You have now repaired the damage of last summers firesale. Well done! How do you intend to keep this squad together over the close season?

It's There Posted 6 March, 2010 Posted 6 March, 2010 Are we making a profit this year, as attendances are up and the stadium has no debt? Is MR Leib..(sp) glad he's purchased Saints? And thank you to all for the rise from the ashes of Southampton FC!!!!!!!!

VectisSaint Posted 6 March, 2010 Posted 6 March, 2010 Will you sort out Saints Player for next season so that we get exclusive coverage, and not shoddy coverage by Radio Solent that includes coverage of insignificant teams like Weymouth, Eastleigh and Pompey? Maybe that question won't be allowed given where the forum is being held

Joesaint Posted 6 March, 2010 Posted 6 March, 2010 I asked; 'Can you ask about the director of football job or if that has been put on hold, and how he has found the change into football and how he feels he is progressing into the job role and if it is as fun/stressful as he thought!! And a massive thank you.' COYS

doddisalegend Posted 6 March, 2010 Posted 6 March, 2010 The club won't answer it, and neither should they. Well it was NC comments in the public domain that sparked the whole shadow over APs future. Some clarifcation might help to settle things. Normally I'd agree with you but as NC chose to make his feeling public I think it's know a topic for diccussion. Of course we all know what happens to managers who get public votes of confidence from thier chairmen........ Personally I'd like to know if we're on a five year or three year plan for return to the EPL and how he feels about the JPT.

Weston Saint Posted 6 March, 2010 Posted 6 March, 2010 I would expect a diplomatic response to any Pardew staying question, something like this:- "Alan Pardew is a good Manager and was bought in to develop a team capable of challenging for the Premiership in a short time span. To do that you have to get out of this division. It was an understandably difficult start but Mr Leibherr has released funds to enable Mr Pardew to recruit the right coaching team and players. Recent results are very encouraging and if that progress continues Mr Pardew and the team will soon meet those challenges"

up and away Posted 6 March, 2010 Posted 6 March, 2010 Well it was NC comments in the public domain that sparked the whole shadow over APs future. Some clarifcation might help to settle things. No, it was Pardews comments a few days earlier, that he prioritised the JPT ahead of the league which got this ball rolling.

hypochondriac Posted 6 March, 2010 Posted 6 March, 2010 I reckon he would say something about evaluating performances at the end of the season and that those topics of conversation are personal between the staff and management.
Channon's Sideburns Posted 6 March, 2010 Posted 6 March, 2010 Do you look at the clowns running Pompey and laugh? We do.... :-D
Saint J 77 Posted 6 March, 2010 Posted 6 March, 2010 Was the purchase of Southampton FC by ML purely a financial investment. Has that changed ie is there a developing emotional investment? Good Question, I would ask something along the same lines if you had not beat me to it
Badger Posted 6 March, 2010 Posted 6 March, 2010 Are you sure you are not Frankie Dettori ? Nicola Cortese in relaxed mood with slick back hair Frankie Dettori in a business suit. If you are the same person,or indeed are related in any way at all, then I think we should be told. (Probably means more to Private Eye readers.)
Arizona Posted 6 March, 2010 Posted 6 March, 2010 This is probably the best run club in Britain at the moment. Well done. Not really a question, but someone should say it.
Rod Le Shearer Posted 6 March, 2010 Posted 6 March, 2010 I must say that this is a very interesting statement by NC. Seems as if or new regime are willing to answer more in depth than most other chairmen, and certainly more than any other private owner. I like it !
Saint_clark Posted 6 March, 2010 Posted 6 March, 2010 When's the actual interview? All it says is that it will be repeated before the Leeds game.
saint_mears Posted 6 March, 2010 Posted 6 March, 2010 No, it was Pardews comments a few days earlier, that he prioritised the JPT ahead of the league which got this ball rolling. Was this in the guardian ??
RobM Posted 6 March, 2010 Posted 6 March, 2010 I'd like to ask 'Do you take any notice of the nonsense posted on internet forums?'
Thedelldays Posted 7 March, 2010 Posted 7 March, 2010 Were your parents hoping for a girl? i see NC is YOUR whipping boy.....ffs, what about giving him time
sadoldgit Posted 7 March, 2010 Posted 7 March, 2010 i see NC is YOUR whipping boy.....ffs, what about giving him time Now now dear, it was just a playful joke directed at his name! No need to be so touchy!!!
Saint_Si Posted 7 March, 2010 Posted 7 March, 2010 Have you contacted Rupert Lowe for any advise about how to run a football club. LOL!!
Pilchards Posted 7 March, 2010 Posted 7 March, 2010 Would it be cheaper to get ML to relay the rest of the divisions pitches rather than let AP have another 3 million to buy players that can play on mud?
Colinjb Posted 7 March, 2010 Posted 7 March, 2010 Have the plans for repositioning the away end been reconsidered at all?
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 7 March, 2010 Posted 7 March, 2010 Does it concern you, that several posters on here think they can read your mind?
Thedelldays Posted 7 March, 2010 Posted 7 March, 2010 Does it concern you, that several posters on here think they can read your mind? with that..I take it you have NEVER assumed what the clubs goals this season are and what is said at the club.. of course you have never posted as such..?
