After getting 10,315 at home in the cup against Sunderland and 11,214 against Coventry then they don't deserve the slightest any success at all... You could say the same for us, we only had 12,000 against Torquay didn't we? Now we're taking 44,000 to Wembley....

We did take 3000 to a midweek away at MKD, 7pm KO. In the 3rd biggest domestic cup competition

Hatch Posted 5 March, 2010 Share Posted 5 March, 2010 if they can't sell tickets for the FA Cup quarters, they are playing Brum again on Tuesday. They will struggle to get 14,000 for that.
NickG Posted 5 March, 2010 Author Share Posted 5 March, 2010 they better hurry up and get that big stadium!
NickG Posted 5 March, 2010 Author Share Posted 5 March, 2010 to be fair, Birmingham were allocated 3,000 so its a massive 17,000 fans the skates would have to find. No team outside of the top four could surely get 17,000 for a FA Cup quarter final against a premiership side.... ...but some could get 18,786 for a FA Cup 3rd round tie against a non-league club! Our attendances have slowly increased over the season as the feelgood factor came back, not necessarily success but just the feeling that this club was moving in the direct direction for once... There is the world of difference between the first round of the Johnsons Paint and the third round of the FA cup especially when your club can't pay the wages Now if we can get 12,000 against Torquay in the Johnsons Paint and Pompey get less less against Premier league opposition in the FA cup, knowing money is so tight they can't pay their players on time, then they don't deserve success.... F u c k them...
Weston Saint Posted 5 March, 2010 Share Posted 5 March, 2010 Come on guys, have a heart, can you blame them for not wanting to pay to see Pompey play. Those who are staying away must have been converted to civilisation
krissyboy31 Posted 5 March, 2010 Share Posted 5 March, 2010 They're probably staking their pitch on Southsea Common for the opened top victory parade.
Saint_clark Posted 5 March, 2010 Share Posted 5 March, 2010 As much as I hate Pompey, they will sell out. They probably already have.
Crab Lungs Posted 5 March, 2010 Share Posted 5 March, 2010 Don't forget the infamous adult tickets for 20 quid throughout the entire season and the kids for a quid initiative they've been giving out all season in the league.... yet they still manage only around 14,000-15,000 LOL I blame the annexation of the People's Republic of Hayling Island for the downturn.
