krissyboy31 Posted 4 March, 2010 Share Posted 4 March, 2010 Don´t Oxford get their ITV from Central South or have they changed to Meridian? Central South and Thames Valley Tonight both went when ITV merged the regions. The whole of Central Southern England and the South East get Meridian Tonight now from the Whiteley studios (I think part of it may be pre-recorded to make it more local in places). Badger Posted 4 March, 2010 Share Posted 4 March, 2010 Central South and Thames Valley Tonight both went when ITV merged the regions. The whole of Central Southern England and the South East get Meridian Tonight now from the Whiteley studios (I think part of it may be pre-recorded to make it more local in places). The disappearance of Central South is a loss to us.It used to give a reasonable coverage of Oxford, north Glos,Herefordshire etc. Since they axed it we now seem to sit on a fault line. Its either Central from Brum covering inner city sprawl and ethnic issues, or West Tonight( on analogue only) from Bristol and gravitating south into Somerset. Was used to watching Southern, and then TVS in the old days with its heart in the region. So Oxford-Maidstone etc seems completely out of place on your sets to me. krissyboy31 Posted 5 March, 2010 Share Posted 5 March, 2010 I have to say that as it is just a green screen, I don't understand why they don't have a different backdrop each week, from all over the region.
