Junction 9 Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 (edited) He means Meridian tonight. Edited 4 March, 2010 by St Landrew He did. Thanks for helping.
Channon's Sideburns Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 I think it's Oxford. You know, that place in the heart of Meridian country :-S
krissyboy31 Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 One of the Thames bridges at Oxford. Not sure exactly which one, could be Shillingford or Bacon's Folly?
Fuengirola Saint Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 I think it's Oxford. You know' date=' that place in the heart of Meridian country :-S[/quote'] Don´t Oxford get their ITV from Central South or have they changed to Meridian?
krissyboy31 Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Don´t Oxford get their ITV from Central South or have they changed to Meridian? Central South and Thames Valley Tonight both went when ITV merged the regions. The whole of Central Southern England and the South East get Meridian Tonight now from the Whiteley studios (I think part of it may be pre-recorded to make it more local in places).
StuRomseySaint Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Maidstone. I jumped off that bridge once. True story.
Badger Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Central South and Thames Valley Tonight both went when ITV merged the regions. The whole of Central Southern England and the South East get Meridian Tonight now from the Whiteley studios (I think part of it may be pre-recorded to make it more local in places). The disappearance of Central South is a loss to us.It used to give a reasonable coverage of Oxford, north Glos,Herefordshire etc. Since they axed it we now seem to sit on a fault line. Its either Central from Brum covering inner city sprawl and ethnic issues, or West Tonight( on analogue only) from Bristol and gravitating south into Somerset. Was used to watching Southern, and then TVS in the old days with its heart in the region. So Oxford-Maidstone etc seems completely out of place on your sets to me.
saint_stevo Posted 4 March, 2010 Author Posted 4 March, 2010 so to clarify, its either Maidstone or Oxford?
StuRomseySaint Posted 5 March, 2010 Posted 5 March, 2010 (edited) so to clarify, its either Maidstone or Oxford? Its Maidstone, just on the big ringroady roundabout thing. One good point. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/people/Anger-as-Meridian-axes-Spinnaker.4996782.jp It p!ssed off the skates. Edited 5 March, 2010 by StuRomseySaint
krissyboy31 Posted 5 March, 2010 Posted 5 March, 2010 I have to say that as it is just a green screen, I don't understand why they don't have a different backdrop each week, from all over the region.
krissyboy31 Posted 5 March, 2010 Posted 5 March, 2010 Does anyone actually watch Meridean News ? For about 10 minutes, around where the sport is usually.
