Depends what casserole it is.

Possibly some broccoli? Crusty bread a must.

Broccoli needs to go in quite close to the end of cooking though. Nothing worse than soggy broccoli. HTH

....what the hell do i serve it with ??

Do i just have it on it's own ?? Or do i do a little bit of rice ??

does it not have a 'serving suggestion' with it?

Mustard mash is always a good one....

Hmm, was thinking of doing some dumplings but can't be arsed.

It's a beef casserole btw, got some cubed aberdeen angus that i couldn't wait to use. Hopefully it will be nice and tender, the smell is making me go crazy but it won't be ready until about 6ish.

Got some potato, onion, parsnip, mushrooms and carrot in there.

Could do some brocolli, though crusty bread sounds awesome.

Definately not rice, no way, not with casserole, rice is not a good idea, curry yes, casserole no - no rice, get it.

Carrots maybe though - HTH. ;)

So thats a no to rice then ??

Well you could do rice, but I would then throw a load of curry powder, onions and chillies into the casserole...! ;)

Are you really that stupid that you have to ask a bunch of egg & chippers to arrange your dinner for you.

No, not really, just getting a few ideas.

Tommorows food related thread will be on sandwiches

Farmhouse white bread, with cheddar & beetroot, or brie & bacon.

I am having liver & chutney on a crusty cob.

Rosti Potatoes

Part Boil some spuds then grate them into slices, soften some sliced onions quickly in a pan, mix the two together in a bowl, press them into patties and then fry them off in a pan.

No I never did that just saw it on Daily Cooks Challenge looked nice

Never had liver, but sounds good.

Bacon and brie between two big fat tiger bread slices is a winner mind.

No, thick cut cheese, mushrooms and 2 slices of ham in a buttered roll then stuck in the microwave for 1-1.5mins.

Sauces optional.

FWIW, i'm currently eating a Tikka Masala which I made.

ya mrs should be cooking your dinner. But if you insist on emulating that fat tongued floppy haired moron, gotta be dump-lins

That would be a death wish, plus she doesn't like anything with flavour, she has just cooked herself plain spaghetti and qourn.

I don't know, blanche tenderstem broccoli in boiling water for 1-2 mins, transfer to a fyring pan containing some melted butter and sprinkle crushed black pepper over the top and fry for about 2-3 minutes. A quick and tasty side to any dinner.

I was told that there were two types of people. Some of them have an extra gene that makes broccoli (and sprouts) taste bitter, whilst those people who are deficient in this gene think that it tastes nice.
