Lets B Avenue Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Just sat down to read last nights Echo and realised the photos were of the match for the first time at home, since the "Staplewood Saga." Also carrying lengthier interviews with the players, rather than the one-liners they have quoted recently. As I haven't seen any other reference to this (although I have spent most of my time on the Blue Phew epic) can Dan or someone close to the action confirm when and how this was resolved.

stevegrant Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 I think the Echo are as surprised by the apparently-sudden U-turn as anyone else, really.
Marsdinho Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Maybe Nicola and Markus spent the weekend in Amsterdam and feel all loved up...
Clifford Nelson Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 If the stand off is over, then I'm delighted. We all need each other down here, so however it happened, credit to all involved and let's hope we can now pull together.

dronskisaint Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Maybe Nicola and Markus spent the weekend in Amsterdam and feel all loved up... Classier than an industrial unit in Horton Heath whatever the reason!
NickG Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 club invited echo to apply for accreditation for the Huddersfield game. There were not given a reason
Saint Richard of Woolston Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 One can only hope the Echo will be a little more responsible in its reporting now than it has been at times over the last 10 years or so. I also suspect they won't learn and will revert to 'Red Top Wannabe' by the summer.
Tractor_Saint Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Well, I know that the email sent to the owners of the Echo when that previous saga was going on were read - I think there were quite a few people that sent an email in... perhaps TPTB at the Echo got in touch with NC ? Then again, maybe not!

Sadly I suspect they won't learn and will revert to 'Red Top Wannabe' by the summer. Especially if we do not get to and win the play offs.

Mondays Echo even had match pictures from the Walsall match which suprised me,so perhaps the truce was called last week sometime?

Since the ban they've still always had pictures when we're playing at home, true story. If the ban had been lifted (which I doubt it has), Ian Murray would have been gloating about it by now.

Home reports were accompanied by old photos of our players without showing who the opposition were. Some were even taken at away grounds.
Clifford Nelson Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Do you work for the United Nations..? Nope, they don't pay enough.

The JPT semi - all pics are of fans outside. The echo are now allowed back in
paris Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 I read the echo after both the last wins and i must say lot's of positive stuff was written especially after Huddersfield's match....
Redondo Saint Posted 5 March, 2010 Posted 5 March, 2010 let's hope the tiff is now over and everyone plays together nicely! and no smart arse comments from Murray...
