LVSaint Posted 3 March, 2010 Share Posted 3 March, 2010 (edited) To cut costs, our office is looking at an online service for managing incoming and outgoing faxes. I've seen monthly subscription services and pay as you go. We don't need to fax out very much but get more incoming (50-100 pages per month). Can I keep the same existing fax number? Any recommendations? Edited 3 March, 2010 by LVSaint
Mewsta Posted 3 March, 2010 Share Posted 3 March, 2010 I'd be quite surprised if you have to pay for incoming faxes, however I can understand there would be line rental for a BT line that the fax is plugged in to. Does your office use a decent up to spec IP Phone system? If so alot of them allow you to setup an extension and purchase a converter for a one off fee.... A bit like this http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6788/phones/ps514/ps515/product_data_sheet09186a008007cd72.html If the extension is in the block of extensions already purchased then there is no extra cost.... Just a thought and I might be barking up the wrong tree completely!!!
Saint Keith Posted 4 March, 2010 Share Posted 4 March, 2010 we use efax. its really good. there is a free version i think, and i think we pay about £9 a month for what we have. the fax comes to you in an email as a pdf i think you have to use one of their ddi numbers tho, not sure you can keep your own https://www.efax.com/en/intl/product/overview
Valesaint Posted 5 March, 2010 Share Posted 5 March, 2010 (edited) Is there anywhere that you can send a fax via PC just once in a while? I think Skype has something but have not investigated yet. Edited 7 March, 2010 by Valesaint
