NorthamSteve Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 So, what's gonna happen....? I'd punt for an unconvincing win against a decent African side. 2-1.

Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 It will be a dull, lifeless 1-0 with no atmosphere.
Crab Lungs Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 John Terry to be booed as England's latest pantomine villain by people in the crowd who have probably cheated themselves at somepoint. Steven Gerrard to refuse to pass to literally everyone, despite them being in better positions etc - proper 'Roy of the Rovers' stuff. And the score to be, maybe... an unconvincing 2-0?
Smirking_Saint Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 They won't be as easy as everyone thinks, they are playing well and are now ranked 10th in the world. But i expect us to play pretty dull football and scrape a 1-0 win, hopefully Terry gets the sh*t he deserves

But cheated with their mates girl? Not many I would say...
Jesus Reigned Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 But cheated with their mates girl? Not many I would say... Ex-girl; I still can't really understand what Bridgey's beef with Terry is all about tbh?
Ponty Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 No, ex-girl now, but was current at the time of the affair.
Jesus Reigned Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 No, ex-girl now, but was current at the time of the affair. Is that what the deal is? I've managed to avoid reading anything to do with it on the basis that I couldn't care less, but my understanding was that she was Bridgey's ex at the time of said affair?
Ponty Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 Nah, it's just that every time it's mentioned on the TV they say, ".... with Bridge's ex-girlfriend..." but she's only an ex now, she wasn't at the time.
Crab Lungs Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 But cheated with their mates girl? Not many I would say... But surely you are morally a wrong 'un, whether you cheat with a mates girl or someone elses? Anyway.. moving on...
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 A boring, lifeless,Terry boo fest with far to many subs used most of which don`t have dogs chance of playing in South Africa in any case.. Waste of time.. Won`t bother watching...
Robsk II Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 Even then, it's a sort of unwritten rule I reckon. You have to get explicit permission. Possibly written. In sperm.
NorthamSteve Posted 3 March, 2010 Author Posted 3 March, 2010 England appear to be warming up in a Pompey kit. advertising
sperm_john Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 convincing 3-0 win, everyone go's mad about england gonna win the world cup, we as usual put too much pressure on the squad, we have a good group stage at the world cup, then flop dissapointingly as usual in the quarters or the semi's ...as we fail to gain momentum, someone like france who doesnt even deserve to be there will start badly then gain momentum and make the final ...the end p.s glad defoe's starting tonight, despite the fact hes a yid and was a skate, i think he's a class act and should deffinately be starting in our world cup fixtures
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 Got a 5 match acc. on tonight, no doubt Scotland will **** it up for me and beat the Czech Rep however.
NorthamSteve Posted 3 March, 2010 Author Posted 3 March, 2010 I've never rated Defoe as a world-class striker. He always seems to be a bit **** for England but makes it look easy in the Prem....
Tractor_Saint Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 Who posted the question on the live web feed for ITV asking why Rickie Lambert wasn't playing? Got a response from the admin
Red Alert Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 The pitch looks to be cutting up again. Bit of a disgrace for the national stadium. Hope by the JPT final they relay it for us. We need a carpet to play on.

Tractor_Saint Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 Bored more like - g/f watching Masterchef ffs
dune Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 England have picked up a bit late on, Gerrards delivery has been rubbish and Walcott looks far too lightweight.
Red Alert Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 Theo would be such an asset for us in the WC, but he NEEDS to find some form. He has been poor all season.
skintsaint Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 Theo isnt a winger, stick him up front..see the damage he caused to Croatia that night.
dubai_phil Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 Bored more like - g/f watching Masterchef ffs We like Masterchef But The Daily Cooks Challenge is better
saint francis Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 I'm quite enjoying watching the spoiled little ****s getting the run around. Second half I'm hoping for a ball booted squarely in the face moment; a real stinger.
dubai_phil Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 But seriously, it's nights like this when I'm glad that England games aren't shown down here unless you pay an extra 60 quid a month for a pants Arabic Satellite service
Red Alert Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 I wonder how much money in royalties the Verve make from the tiny but of Bitter Sweet Symphony that ITV plays during every advert/clip of England games?
Ponty Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 I wonder how much money in royalties the Verve make from the tiny but of Bitter Sweet Symphony that ITV plays during every advert/clip of England games? Nothing. Royalties from that song go to the Rolling Stones after it was proved that "Genius" songwriter, Richard Ashcroft, nicked that hook from them.
dubai_phil Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 Lol I just get the stream working and inside 2 seconds Crouch scores Then the stream closes as we I have to buy pro version lol
Johnny Shearer Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 Lol I just get the stream working and inside 2 seconds Crouch scores Then the stream closes as we I have to buy pro version lol Is this not even shown at a bar anywhere?
stuey Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 Brilliant banner in the crowd at Wembley... Team Terry No Team Bridge No Team England Yes! my sentiments exactly! If it didnt happen on the pitch who cares?
dubai_phil Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 Is this not even shown at a bar anywhere? Yes.... But would YOU pay 5 pound a pint to watch an England friendly against an Arabic Team in a Bar in an Arabic Country surrounded by drunk Arabs wearing Argentina Shirts? Just wasn't up there on the list of entertaining things to do at 2am in the morning midweek...
Red Alert Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 Crouch MUST start, Gerrard and Lampard can clearly as has been the case for about 8 years not play together. Gerrard and Carrick please. Feel bad for Joe Cole, has been out best player before he got injured, he should be left mid if he gets himself a few games before the end of the season. Cashley is a ****le but still the best laft back in the world imo. And SWP should play right mid, sorry to Theo but he has lost his way a bit this season. But there is 60 million other England managers that would do things different.
CB Fry Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 Nothing. Royalties from that song go to the Rolling Stones after it was proved that "Genius" songwriter, Richard Ashcroft, nicked that hook from them. Well not quite. The string backing track was always a sample from an Orchestral version of a Stones song, don't remember which one. It wasn't a secret and there was nothing to "prove". I think the Stones lawyers got involved when the song became such a big hit and saw there was coin of the realm to be made. But you're right, the Verve boys get diddly.
dune Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 Yes.... But would YOU pay 5 pound a pint to watch an England friendly against an Arabic Team in a Bar in an Arabic Country surrounded by drunk Arabs wearing Argentina Shirts? stuey Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 I thought they didn't drink. Did the voices in your PC tell you that????
dubai_phil Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 I thought they didn't drink. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Why oh why does Dubai have so many bars? And asked why does Egypt & Lebanon have Casinos? or why we have Horse Racing? But seriously, not every Arab is a Muslim. And not every Muslim is a gun toting suicide bomber.
dune Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 Did the voices in your PC tell you that???? The voices have now stopped.

Tac-tics Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 erm, when did they release Joseph Fritzl? and when did he manage Egypt?
Smirking_Saint Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Poor start from england, Terry looked a little dodgy but i guess thats what you get when you get boo'd all night. Baines had a good game considering he had no protection down the whole of the left flank. Lampard was poor all night and when carrick came on we looked a lot better, barry was able to get forward as well and support better, carrick is a great passer of the ball. Brown and Theo didn't work all night, i agree i just don't see theo as a winger at all and IMO i think that he needs to leave arsenal to improve now. SWP i don't like him but he played well, Crouchie did V.Well when he came on, i think we needed him to start, he is better than any other tall strikers we have and the more i watch defoe the more i think he adds nothing to the team, great goal scorer but nothing more.
Crab Lungs Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Baines had a good game considering he had no protection down the whole of the left flank. Which is why I reeeeeeeeally don't like Gerrard - talented yes, selfish, yes. Absolutely no positional discipline. Yes, he's not a left midfielder but even when you play him in the centre he f()cks off and does his own thing and leaves the rest of the team to plug the gaps...
Thedelldays Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 why did rooney start drifting everywhere again..? he must have been told to but why..? one of gerrard or lampard should be dropped for the shape of the team...unless we play rooney as a loan striker with gerrard behind him....
Smirking_Saint Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Which is why I reeeeeeeeally don't like Gerrard - talented yes, selfish, yes. Absolutely no positional discipline. Yes, he's not a left midfielder but even when you play him in the centre he f()cks off and does his own thing and leaves the rest of the team to plug the gaps... I think that was his remit TBH, i agree he does usually drift but last night he spent the majority of the first half actually within the center of the park. That in my mind is not drifting but a tactical decision. I prefer him to Lampard, if you want to build a team around him, he puts more into a team than Lampard does, Lamp's did manage to find himself in two goal scoring positions however and spurned chances he would have usually taken but really that was it. Too many times have i seen lampard disapear in an England shirt. As for rooney i think a lot of last nights marauding was because he struggled to get the ball.
