Nice to get a view of wembley exactly a month away from our trip!

I think i'm right in saying we have the same end as the Villa fans are currently sat in?

Fergie perhaps pulls off a masterstroke by leaving possibly the most in form player in the world on the bench...

1-0 Villa, Milner penalty after Vidic brought down Agbonlahor.

1-1 at half time, but it's still a joke. The ref didnt even book Vidic, when it's clearly a red card. Absolute fiddle.

What did that lino flag for to halt the last minute Villa attack? TV showed absolutely no chance of off side.

A totally poor show by the ref also who should have, at least, yellow carded Vidic when he gave the penalty. Vidic subsequently yellow carded and should have then walked for a second yellow.

All in all a very lacklustre affair.

Wembley will see better at the end of March.

I watched some of this match before I became bored. I did note a couple of things.

1. There was a definite bias in the refereeing on decisions where a yellow card could have been handed out or not. Vidic, for example, should have received two yellows, which could well have altered the balance of the game.

2. Considering the debate on whether the formation of the Premier League has improved the standard of football in the UK, and made it more entertaining, or whether it has largely been a money grabbing exercise, was given evidence to the latter, as I thought the standard of football was pretty poor, overall. The commentators were telling us the game was fast, open and entertaining, as if it was a model of the modern game. I ended up flicking to another channel and occasionally coming back for updates on the score.

Have you ever thought about writing a blog? I love that you have really interesting opinions about almost everything posted on this site. I think there are plenty of people, including me, who would be interested to read your opinions isolated from the rest of the drivel on here.

Thing is Norway, I'm an outdoorish person, and the dark evenings and constant cold, sh!t weather has depressed me so much, I'm getting far too much time to think about things and it's showing really badly. Football season aside, roll on the summer.
