Pongo Posted 21 September, 2008 Posted 21 September, 2008 Dead? So Ru**rt and the traitor have completed the task of losing all their money, do you really believe they want to do this? Given that W H Irealnd has underperformed the FTSE 100 by 18% in the last 12 months and is down 44% over the 12 months i'd say Lowe is rather reeved at present by his investments performances.
Weston Saint Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 Who is taking the pe out of Rupert. Edit, seems it is not the filter !!!
pedg Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 Had to laugh yesterday as listening to 5 live on the way back from shopping (what an exciting life) and they had someone on who had written a 'witty' book about new dictionary words to describe football situations and there was one along the lines of.. 'A rumoured consortium of local businessmen that always appears when a club is for sale but never make an bid'

Window Cleaner Posted 22 September, 2008 Posted 22 September, 2008 The problem with all these non forthcoming bids is that the raise people's expectations, they are therefore never content with what they have (OK it's not that great). Now if you didn't want to believe that Lowe et al will soon be ousted you might view their stewardship in a changed light, you might eventually but grudgingly accept that it will be the staus quo for the foreseeable future and get over it.Whilst there is even the remotest possibility that that is not so ,people will cling on to whatever straw is proffered,be it ever so unrealistic. Thus the club is destabilised, whoever is seeking to buy out the current shareholders for a knockdown price (cos it's all they can afford) will certainly not put any real facts into the public domain because that would be counter-productive.

Very true...however because we are in such a mess, supporters will always cling to any hope that there may be..no matter if its justified or not. The only consistency in the last 3 years is that we have had 3 different boards of directors with 3 different ways to improve the situation. The only commonality between the 3 boards of directors is...failure
