i tunes help needed.

I am trying to burn some music from itunes onto a cd (its a cd-rw). it apears to burn ok but will not play on the cd player in my van or car. i just get an error display.

i have tried to reduce the burn speed to 12x, which is what it says on the discs, but it still wont play..

 

any ideas ??????

The CD player in your van might not support the file type you burned onto the CD.

Check to see what they are, possibly .aac ?

its a vw van and we also have a vauxhall car, it wont play in either.

 

how would i find out what type of file they are and more importantly, how can i fix it so i can play them ????

Create a new playlist

Right click on songs from your library and send to the new playlist

Gather about 20 songs that way

Go to the playlist

Insert CD

Click burn to CD

Choose "Audio Disk" as type

Burn

Play

Enjoy

all sorted now thanks, not quite sure what i did but i burned them again and they now work. thanks for the advice.

You probably burnt them as mp3's and not audio files that a CD player can read.
