Kratom is a controlled substance in Thailand, Bhutan, Australia, Finland, Denmark, Poland, Lithuania,[2] Malaysia and Myanmar (Burma). A handful of people in Malaysia and possibly other countries are lobbying their governments to allow medical research into kratom as a potential prescription substance.

The United States Drug Enforcement Administration has added Kratom to their list of drugs and chemicals of concern.

If it's of concern then it must have a kick to it.;)

Khat is for pussies if The Lancet is anything to go by.

At Hounslow East station a few years ago, beneath the eastbound platform, we found a whole suitcase of Khat. God knows how it got there, or why anyone would stash it there, perhaps they were high on their own substance. (Somalians do cause the most trouble in that area...)

I think it's just sold as a "plant fertiliser" to get round the law.

Yes, but be careful what you chuck down your neck. A bag of compost will really **** you up.

No, you're thinking of Kestrel Super.

Great stuff for pre-drinking!

Surprisingly palatable for a super-strength lager. I put it on my cornflakes.
