Windmill Arm 2 Posted 24 February, 2010 Share Posted 24 February, 2010 Does this crap make you feel better ? Or does simply blaming Wotton for everything do that ? Alpine, do you even know what Wotton looks like in real life? pictures on the internet don't count.
saint_stevo Posted 24 February, 2010 Share Posted 24 February, 2010 Christ it's not that complicated. I'm poking fun at Alpine's righteous indignation at someone saying something as off the cuff as "I feel sorry for your wife" by comparing it to a situation where my old man has said something to me that i could have taken as a slur but in actual fact merely took for what it was. A lighthearted joke. The internet is serious business after all. I feel now, that the internet is complete

St Landrew Posted 24 February, 2010 Share Posted 24 February, 2010 It's just a pity that he is so provocative with the thread title and many of his responses ! As soon as he gets involved you can be sure that reasoned debate is out of the window ! All IMHO FWIW, I think YOU'VE made a very good point. I've had this conversation with Alpine before about being provocative, and over-reacting. He takes it onboard, but can't help himself somethimes. I think people could cut him some slack, tbh, and debate properly, rather than resort to insult. And Alpine, if you're reading this, so could you. Strange as it may seem, but no-one is an arsehole because they disagree with anyone else. They just happen to disagree. If a reasoned argument is put before them, and they still disagree, then I would ask for reasons why. Not call them an arsehole. That doesn't do anything but get them to dig their heels in deeper. Then they never shift their opinion.

Freemantle Saint Posted 24 February, 2010 Share Posted 24 February, 2010 Complete rubbish. This was nothing more than a low blow to try to illicit an outburst from me. The post was a disgrace - you have NEVER seen anything like that from me. Just because I dont share certain people's narrow perspective of what it means to follow a football team, does not give people the right to have a go at me through my family. You have NO idea what I am like in reality. You embarass yourself by trying to justify it. i bet you are a positive hoot in reality. Tell me is your perspective on how to follow a football team to never see them play, complain about most aspects of the club and endlessly troll about 10,000 posts on the internet? it was a lot easier when people just paid 10-15 quid to go up the dell and support their local team. Still everyones a personality on the net i guess. I agree lets sack the manager and start again...yawn
hamster Posted 24 February, 2010 Share Posted 24 February, 2010 WE're learning and i think that we're learning very quickly. We knew what to expect after the Brizzle Rovers FA Cup exit a couple of years ago. These players are only just finding out just how good they can. Believe. Just jumping on a bandwagon, it seems to me. I have seen them play more times this season than a prominent poster on here that I could name who likes to lecture others about the nature of their support, AND I live abroad, unlike him... Kingsbridge Saint Posted 25 February, 2010 Share Posted 25 February, 2010 He's right though. We can't beat hod carriers on ploughed fields. And it's going to cost Pardew his job at some point over the next 12 months unless it gets sorted.

And it's going to cost Pardew his job at some point over the next 12 months unless it gets sorted. What we need is to be capable of beating hod carriers on building sites and farmers on ploughed fields. Then we need to start thinking about the Championship where we'll need to beat mid-level executives in motorway service stations.
