alpine_saint Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 ...get your groundsman to water f**k out of the pitch, then invite the local group of bonehead rugby players to prance around on it the day before the match Guaranteed at least 1 point !!!
Saint_clark Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Lock this thread please, it's nothing more than a troll/ wind up attempt.
alpine_saint Posted 23 February, 2010 Author Posted 23 February, 2010 Lock this thread please, it's nothing more than a troll/ wind up attempt. You really cannot handle the truth, can you ???

Saint_clark Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 You really cannot handle the truth, can you ??? Bit rich ain't it? You're the only person in the world to whom the chant "where were you when you were good?" can be applied.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 We are a joke this season - if i spend **** loads on a car I expect it to look nice and drive well in all conditions....... 12 wins in 30 excuses ran out in November.......
alpine_saint Posted 23 February, 2010 Author Posted 23 February, 2010 Bit rich ain't it? You're the only person in the world to whom the chant "where were you when you were good?" can be applied. Does this crap make you feel better ? Or does simply blaming Wotton for everything do that ?
Ponty Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 I think blaming the pitch is pretty fair. Both teams were unable to pass a ball any sense all night.

On the 2nd half thread you quoted yourself...You're officially number one troll of the SaintsWeb Forum...
NickG Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Bit rich ain't it? You're the only person in the world to whom the chant "where were you when you were good?" can be applied. lol!
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Does this crap make you feel better ? Or does simply blaming Wotton for everything do that ? Does posting moan after moan after moan after moan make you feel better? It must do...
alpine_saint Posted 23 February, 2010 Author Posted 23 February, 2010 I think blaming the pitch is pretty fair. Both teams were unable to pass a ball any sense all night. Get used to it. Other L1 teams cannot afford soopah-doopah stadia like us. As I said earlier, if we cannot adapt to these conditions, we will never get promotion.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 I think blaming the pitch is pretty fair. Both teams were unable to pass a ball any sense all night. You are no allowed to do that if you spent loads of money..

nathan Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 As rare as it is, I have to say I agree with Alpine. We can't seem to raise our games on crappy pitches. We can't blame the pitch because teams like Norwich, Leeds, Colchester all seem to be able to get wins.
benjii Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 TBF, he's right. I think it is unlikely to be advice that receives widespread implementation though.
CHAZZA 92 Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 We should be able to adapt to poor pitches because we now have quality players that can play on any pitch and able to change style to according to pitch to get a good result.
alpine_saint Posted 23 February, 2010 Author Posted 23 February, 2010 We need Mawhinneys parting act to be a rule that says L1 pitches need to double-up as bowling greens...
scotty Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 we should assemble a B-team of hoofers and muggers for these games. The pretty stuff aint working on these type of pitches, Pontys right
Glasgow_Saint Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Just out of intrest, what do you suppose should happen? If we dont finish within 10 points of top 6 (minimum) then AP's role should be considered.
benjii Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 We need Mawhinneys parting act to be a rule that says L1 pitches need to double-up as bowling greens... FFS, get your head out of cloud cuckoo land. We're not going up this season and the football league certainly aren't going to help us out with ridiculous rule changes. It's time you dropped this myopic pro-Saints ecstacy and brought yourself back down to reality. Not everything is as rosey as you would like to make out.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 If we dont finish within 10 points of top 6 (minimum) then AP's role should be considered. Pathetic post

Tell me, how are the pitches and stadia we visit going to improve NEXT season ? Teams have to grind out results to get promoted. We are a f**king joke in this department.
manzo Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Really?!? So the traditional cup upset has never been based on a dog of a pitch, has it? If you have fast players who can dribble and pass, what's that got to do with their ability to play on a rugby pitch, which is basically only fit for long ball football aimed at a big unit in the box. I'm happy that we didn't lose. It's a shame that we didn't take one of the few chances we had, but that's the sort of game we usually lose.
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Pathetic post! On behalf of all Saints fans apart from your mates DD and AS, please F U C K O F F you sad pathetic loser!!!

alpine_saint Posted 23 February, 2010 Author Posted 23 February, 2010 On behalf of all Saints fans apart from your mates DD and AS, please F U C K O F F you sad pathetic loser!!! Is this really necessary ?
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Is this really necessary ? I feel sorry for your wife.
Thedelldays Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 I feel sorry for your wife. sorry mate. too far
martyg1950 Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 I dont know you from Adam, my friend, but your comment here just sums up a large section of our fan base, I'm afraid... No it doesn't! it just highlights your constant gripes and total lack of any CONSTRUCTIVE suggestions - it's so easy to moan, gets you nowhere tho. 1) Games like tonight happen, shrug it off, learn from it, move on. 2) Playoffs are possible until the maths say otherwise, 3) Pardew has done a great job so far - more to come 4) Spending loads of money doesn't buy you an instant great team - it buys you a group of good players who over time you develop into a good team.
Thedelldays Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Are you his minder? no. I also pay to use this board..very rarely (if ever now) get personal and dont want to read that crap because he does not agree with him..
docker-p Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Lock this thread please, it's nothing more than a troll/ wind up attempt. What the F*** is your problem? I hardly ever agree with Alpine but that was perfectly fair comment.
manzo Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 I dont know you from Adam, my friend, but your comment here just sums up a large section of our fan base, I'm afraid... You ain't my friend. If you were, I'd tell you to cheer the f*ck up, and to stop being a miserable c*nt. But you're not, so I won't.

alpine_saint Posted 23 February, 2010 Author Posted 23 February, 2010 You trying to claim that we can grind results out ?
benjii Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 I am drawing attention to the fact that we are apparently "a fukcing joke" in that department as it is quite ridiculous. By the way, what's the title of the next thread...?

By the way, what's the title of the next thread...? How about "Benji talks B*ll*cks", since that is what you have clearly done here.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Lock this thread please, it's nothing more than a troll/ wind up attempt. I'm sorry, but that's not true, I think that is a genuinely good point. We should be beating teams like that, but it is difficult on really bad pitches.
benjii Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 How about "Benji talks B*ll*cks", since that is what you have clearly done here. From a quick look at the League table there appear to be 4 teams with a better away record than us. I presume when you talked about "grinding out results" you were talking about away matches, unless you want us to "grind out results" at home (sure you'd love it). If you think 5th is a "****ing joke" then I do wonder what you would do if you were a Gillingham fan.....
DrZuess1979 the 2nd Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 **** pitch Sounds like we just need to get ugly, at these p1ss hole of a grounds Up 1 place though and we have 4 points in 2 away games so not fully disheartened
Northant Saint Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Please everyone calm down, Alpine is just trying to get a reaction like he always does...
benjii Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 and then having a strop when he gets exposed. It's a fun little routine though.
DrZuess1979 the 2nd Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Jesus Iam not coming on here IF we lose the JPT final There might be blood on the admins hands, I tell thee
Redondo Saint Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 If we know the next game is away at a crappy ground on a sh1 tty pitch the solution has to be; Train on the Veracity Ground in Merry Oak or Riverside Park. I seem to remember my passing game on those pitches was not up to scratch.... HTH
