You do realise the interview the "now we will play like a top 2 side" comment came from was actually before the Norwich game, don't you?

Either way. Drawing away to a really crap team is not good enough

and before you call me unrealistic blah blah blah

do you think cortese feels it was a good result ?

No-one thinks it is a good result. You will not find ANYONE who says that.

Some of us however, realise that in the grand scheme of things it doesn't REALLY matter, as it's pretty much all about next season.

displays like what? We didn't see it!

I am p1ssed off with result like that and it didn't sound great.

Don't pull that one. It was crystal clear from the commentary that we were rubbish and we made them look good. That is not acceptable unless you're happy supporing a mediocre mid table L1 side.

Sorry, but from what I heard BOTH sides were sh*t. We both had chances. We both missed them.

It had 0-0 written all over it from kick-off.

What a pity that despite our millions we dont have the quality to do anything about games with "0-0 written all over them"

Were you listening? The amount of chances that went inches wide, and the amount of saves from BOTH keepers. You could just tell it was going to be a 0-0. That does NOT mean that we are sh*t and need a change of manager.

I accepted this season was over a few weeks ago, but how we finnish it dictates how we're going to start next season. Looking at the lack of progress on the pitch since November isn't a good sign for next year.

I've lost confidence that AP can deliver the goods and I think we're wasting our time with him.

Probably the worst performance for a long time... Absolutely ****ing sh1te! Hardly made a chance but we did have a golde. One and fluffed it badly. Awesome against Norwich... Total cack up here.

We had near 1800 away support up here... A multi million pound team... 90% of other clubs here would kill for ****ing support and a team like that... But we somehow can't win the games that we should be winning... Grinding out sh1tty 1-0's and takin the 3 points home

Astounding how few people see this.

The numbers will grow over the next few weeks.

I suppose at least we know now it wasnt the cups making our league form sh*te.

PMSL

Perhaps we should have done poll after the norwich game too

Norwich was a good win, but i'm judging Pardew on the whole season, not just 1 game. We improved week on week until November, but since then we've become complacent and stagnant.

i think it's far more sensible to judge him over after an 18 month stretch - which would take us up to xmas.

we'll then have a clear idea of where we're going. i don't think that's unreasonable tbh

I'm afraid i've made my mind up now. He just doesn't motivate the team to respect the less glamourous teams. It's almost as if we turn up thinking we can win without giving it everything. There's no consistency and given that most games in L1 are against dull clubs in dull arenas we're gonna go nowhere with the attitude our squad has.

What, you mean like at Southend, Walsall, Hartlepool, Oldham?

there is a serious lack of a plan b since we moved to a 4-4-2, but there was Waigo on the bench, and he has been in terrific form recently. Pardew though chose to stick with Lambert for the 90 minutes, again.

Starting from Cortese's comments, unless Pardew provides a team that shows it can win the league next season, with both it's general play, tactics and results then the end of the season is the time to change.

Certainly not halfway through next season when it isn't working. The club have provided tremendous financial support in the transfer market but that is only the half of it. The management have to demonstrate that they can make a genuine title winning team out of these players. That hasn't happened yet.
