Well growing up in the 90's in Melbourne AFL was the be all and end all as far as sport was concerned, but I always had more of a fascination with Football. I had an Uncle who was born in Southampton and that was the only link I needed at that age and havn't regretted my decision since.

As far as coming over for the Wembley match, of course I would love to, but obviously the flights arn't exactly cheap. Never say never though.

Thanks to everyone else who has replied, I thought it was a story worth telling. It's been a complete joy watching the last 6 months unfold after what happened at the end of last season.

Are you related to Benny Hill?

The second part of that letter would never have happened had it not been for Mr Liebherr. More than likely I would have never been able to see a Saints win, I am forever grateful that he gave the club the platform to move towards success, and that he was able to see us, with his own eyes lift up a trophy at Wembley! It's tough hearing the news down here and not being able to pay tribute at the stadium like many others. Not sure if this letter ever reached him. I'm guessing it didn't. But I am certain that he was well aware how much he was admired by all the Southampton faithful. I'm definately considering organising a flight over for the Orient game, the least I could do to show my appreciation. The outpouring of emotion coming through the pictures, videos from the ground and posts on here is incredible. Hopefully we are able to keep his legacy as far as SFC goes alive.

Hi guys. It seems things have only improved since I wrote this, which is an incredible turnaround from where we were. The reason I've dug this up is that I've managed to get out of work for April to make it over for the last 6 games and calling on the Saints community for a bit of help. Palace, Reading and Coventry have been sorted thanks to amazing efforts from friends I've made previously. Was wondering how best I go about purchasing a ticket for the skates(preferable standing in Northam, but anywhere in the ground will do) as I wont be able to make it over until the 4th of April. Also keen on getting to the M'Boro and P'boro away games but first things first. Buzzing!
