Big John Posted 22 February, 2010 Share Posted 22 February, 2010 Burnley v Pompey Sat 27th Feb 2010. Burnley to WIN. Is that not a licence to print money?
keithd Posted 22 February, 2010 Share Posted 22 February, 2010 not really no. nothing is certain in football i'd imagine they'd be something like 3/1 on so lots of risk for little reward
Rut Posted 22 February, 2010 Share Posted 22 February, 2010 not really no. nothing is certain in football i'd imagine they'd be something like 3/1 on so lots of risk for little reward Burnley 1/3 to win??? More like 5/4. Is it certain? Obviously not at that price. Is it worth a few quid? I reckon it might be and I quite fancy this little treble: Saints to beat Wycombe Saints to beat Walsall Burnley to beat P***** Pays just over 6/1. Worth a tenner of anyone's money. Now I've said it I guess I best put my money where my mouth is. Think I'll make it a score though - a nice 100+ quid profit is coming my way! Easy money :-)
gonzo Posted 22 February, 2010 Share Posted 22 February, 2010 Burnley are in freefall. I don't know what the odds are, but I personally would favour a draw in betting terms.
skintsaint Posted 22 February, 2010 Share Posted 22 February, 2010 Didnt you watch Burnley yesterday? they were ******* ****e...Pompey could easily get at least a draw there.

chrisobee Posted 1 March, 2010 Share Posted 1 March, 2010 When you see a horse go off at 1/14 ( Zaynar Kelso 18th Feb) and lose then that really does suggest finding "dead certs" is rather difficult ! That said 1/50 at Betfair for Pompey to get relegated returns £1m ( less commission) if you have a spare £50m to "invest" !
keithd Posted 1 March, 2010 Share Posted 1 March, 2010 just wait 5 months with your £50m in the bank and it'll earn £1m interest. No risk involved

Rut Posted 1 March, 2010 Share Posted 1 March, 2010 Luckily I couldn't get my suggested treble on as the bookie I use (I'm a bit more limited over here in the USA) hadn't priced up both Saints games. I didn't put anything on. Tories are currently 1/7 to win the election. Is this nailed on???? Well obviously it's not certain (cos you can still bet on it) but in theory this should be an easy 100 quid profit if you put 700 on. Anyone gonna actually risk it though? Wouldn't go anywhere near that bet.... The latest figures suggest the Torys are only 2 points ahead in the polls and the likeliest outcome of the election will be a hung parliament.
