Still waiting for my account to be set up after emailing yesterday :(. Will phone tonight after work if it is still not sorted. What's the point in a registering system on the website if it doesn't work?

Perhaps they were expecting that people would think about setting up their online accounts or at least check them in advance of the first sales rush day.

Perhaps some customers were expecting a simple registration system on the website of a professional football team would work.

Thanks for the number dune.

Trust me mate, just ring them up now and they'll sort you in seconds. I've had to do it and it's dead simple.

I've only just read the issues regarding the booking online. I had tried to book online yesterday but despite telling me that an account existed with those details of user name and customer number, it would not let me proceed, even via selecting the "forgotten password" option. Having attempted numerous times to book via the phone yesterday, I managed to get through today to book 4 tickets. However, I was flabergasted to learn that there is a booking fee of £3 per ticket

As there was only one transaction, with one payment, I think that this is grossly unfair. An extra £12 cost above the already high ticket prices is blatant profiteering, especially when it was not possible to book online through no fault of my own. I wish that I had seen these last few posts of contact information to sort out the online booking.

High ticket prices? A lot of people paid more for the '03 cup final than the highest priced ticket for the JPT Final!

I'd expected them to be a bit more than they are, so I for one was quite pleasantly surprised when the ticket details were announced.

Wes I agree to a certain extent with what you are saying, in my case having bought tickets over the phone for other people as well as myself, I will just add the £3.00 onto the ticket price when I am paid, so at the end of the day I would only paid £3.00 not £12.00 or £18.00.

The 03 tickets were to see us as a Premiership team play Arsenal, at the final of the greatest football cup competition on Earth, at a stadium at least as good as Wembley.

This is to watch us as a third division team, play another third division team in a tin pot (literally) trophy.

Don't get me wrong; I will enjoy it as much, provided that we win, but I just feel that there is some blatant profiteering going on. And yes, I will certianly be passing on the booking fees to the other two ticket holders that we booked for.

You'd have saved yourself a lot of hassle by reading this thread yesterday, it already mentions all of this.

Agreed. But I spent a lot of the time trying to get some tickets sorted and at the time that I did read this thread then, these issues hadn't been addressed.

We're fortunate to have these matters aired on here, but what of all the poor fans who have to rely on the OS or the Echo for their information?

I booked 8 tickets online & only got charged £3 booking fee for all the tickets.

Booked my 4 tickets online yesterday without any problems. Seems that those moaning didn't read the information on the OS very carefully if they were either surprised at not being able to buy in person this week, or at getting stung for a booking fee per ticket on the phone. they should be more annoyed with themselves than anyone else.

If they have the OS to rely on, it's all on there. I'm sure the ticket Info in the programme would have been the same too.

I will admit they were a LITTLE vague on the £3 per ticket v £3 per transaction front, but the complaints from people who actually pitched up at the ticket office, for instance..? I think the club has been very noble in taking the blame on themselves for that one in particular.

Tickets in general...........

How come Carlisle are actually handing out their Wembley tickets to personal callers and also sending them out in post??? Just spoken to their ticket office - it seems OUR ticket office ALREADY HAVE THE PHYSICAL TICKETS.

For info - Carlisle have sold 16K so far.

Surely this has been covered already? The ticket office are doing the seat allocation at the end of the third period of sales, this mean that if say a season ticket holder + guest + mate who attended the area final + other mate on the database can all get seats together. Otherwise they would all be buying tickets at different times and could end up spread all over the place.

Seems a quite sensible policy to me!

Because people can buy 9 each, and they don't care who they sell them to as there's not likely to be a shortage. More demand for ours so there's a staggered sales period.

You would hope that our ticket office would have the tickets given that they should be posting them out when they get the orders...

the ticket office came up trumps for me,they co*ked up the postal application with me and mate in one section and my 2 sons elsewhere.

e-mailed dave luker got a phone call at work, sorted out once they found my application all sat together now and refund of 2 of the 3 booking fees they tried to charge me.

If you look online and go through to purchase tickets you will see all the £44 tickets sold out and £34 heading that way. Does anyone know if that is the entire allocation for these blocks or have saints allocated batch for online and another batch for telesales? I cant buy until monday and am concerned that all the decent seats will have sold out by then particulary since many STH's are somehow able to buy more than 2 tickets currently.

Actually cancel that - just got an email from the ticket office saying they are allocating as they go along so I was over estimating their competancy!

Unfortunately for you that is the disadvantage of not being a season ticket holder, the club is rewarding those of us that have paid our dues up front regardless how the season was going to turn out, we could have been bottom of the league playing like t*rds and I could not get my money back, where as you could just not turn up. This is the gamble we all take. My friend and I wanted the best seat we could get and we also wanted to sit with friends of ours that go on a regular basis that do not have season tickets, so we have purchased their ticket in advance for them. Just because we can get 2 tickets does not mean fans that do not go are necessarily going to get them over fans that regularly attend.

Wes did you not read the clubs website and understand the conditions of sale, also I would put it down to bad planning on your part not to have your login sorted out before the day of sale. We ensured everything was running and could log in and without problems well before the first day of sale. I knew it would be hell if you did not have those details.

You say it was no fault of your that you could not login, your password would not have changed, so its not really the clubs fault you could not remember your password.

As I was told early in my working career never forget the 5P's Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance. Unfortunately for you you poor planning has cost you £9.00.

I am season ticket holder together with my 8 year old son. We are going to Wembley with my 2 step sons aged 10 and 13. Rang up today to buy the 4 tickets (1 Adult and 3 junior) only to be told that you can only have one junior for each adult so had to buy 2 adult and 2 junior - how can this be correct??

I am not suggesting it uis unfair for STH's to be allowed two tickets. I don't have a problem with this policy. What concerns me is that by reading on this thread it seems STH's are buying MORE than two tickets which is obviously lessening the chances of fans like myself getting tickets even though I attended the Area Final.

The mention of the £3 booking fee for telephone bookings was buried two thirds of the way down the page under the heading of Postal Applications. As somebody else commented, they were hardly making it clear, were they? It ought to have been included either with the prices, or indeed if they were really concerned at notifying us about it, above the prices as a separate item.

But that doesn't change my opinion that a charge for each ticket is blatant profiteering if it is part of one transaction with one payment.

You say that I should have had the foresight to have checked up on my log in arrangements before booking in. Why? I have a ST for all of the home games I attend and have always gone to the booking office to buy tickets for other matches. So I have never had to use the online booking service. I used the facility to register to book online and it told me that my customer number and email address were already recognised. I used every possible password and alternative email address combination without success, but when I attempted to use the facility to have them email my password, it doesn't work. I believe others have had the same problem, so there is obviously a glitch in their software. Is that my fault too?

Happily, although it has cost me more to book these tickets by phone, I have saved money by getting tickets on the Greyhound bus, so I'm probably ahead of the game overall. Paradoxically, it was far easier to book the tickets for the Greyhound Bus. Perhaps the club ought to have a word with them about how to set it all up efficiently. ;)

Carozzi, LA77 and Toomer, this is for you too...

It's an issue with the email address on your account being blank, so it "exists" when you try to log in, preventing you creating a new account, but is not there for you to be able to recover the password.

Email the ticket office ( I think agrant@saintsfc.co.uk works) and they'll sort it by resetting your password. The current default password is "football", just for the record - that might work if you have customer number and use that, if not, email them - quite a few have had this problem, inc my g/f about a month ago.

Thanks The9...I emailed to get my lads sorted but got out of office so had to phone - just tried my lads number using 'football' changed default and it all works now.

The policy of segregation for this game is a farce considering that carlisle tickets are on general sale from today so saints fans can easily get tickets for carlisle area. I cannot see any restrictions for this on there website as STH's and Leeds game attendees have already had piority allocation dates been and gone. i personally know someone who lives in carlisle who could go to ticket office for me and get me a ticket. also i could give his address should I buy over the phone. dont know what would happen if I gave my soton address for tickets to be posted to! - who is to say that no carlisle fans live in soton:)

You appear to be underestimating the size of our customer base compared to Carlisle's.

I guarantee you if Carlisle's was anywhere near the size of ours, they would be allowing less tickets per season ticket, and allowing themselves longer to process purchases in each sales period.
