skellyjack Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 I work in Wycombe, and it's only been raining a bit. no snow as yet, but it is pretty cold! I predict a crappy pitch after the weather of the last 4-5 days.
derry Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 OK - will be at pub to pick you up at 4.15pm - is that OK? Will be in a red Insignia. Dave Which one?

derry Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 the one he's picking you up from of course:) Insignia, not pub, and he's not picking me up, just interested.
Window Cleaner Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Nice touch - can you get hybrid red and white ones? Indeed you can, Double Delight is one kind.
StuRomseySaint Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 (edited) Report on the ground. It's just started snowing heavy. Doesn't look like it will lay though. Edit... It's starting to lay and getting heavier... Anyone who has been to Wycombe before will know when it snows... It's a nightmare, due to the hills. Edited 23 February, 2010 by StuRomseySaint
StuRomseySaint Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 If it snows like this up till kick-off then I would say the game might be in doubt...
Bucks Saint Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Report on the ground. It's just started snowing heavy. Doesn't look like it will lay though. Am 10 mins away and its not snowing here, but it is cold enough and raining a little
The9 Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 No, I thought that this morning as well. Plenty of fans probably don't even realise it's a localish game. I wouldn't have had much idea where Wycombe is. I never cease to be amazed at the General Public.
StuRomseySaint Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Am 10 mins away and its not snowing here, but it is cold enough and raining a little Am up on the hill in Downley at the moment... So might be different down in the valley though... And it's just turned to sleet... So I will shut up with the weathe reports. :-(
Legod Third Coming Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 If it snows like this up till kick-off then I would say the game might be in doubt... Any spaces in the car park?
RedArmy Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 I wonder if the lower demand than expected (ignoring the other factors like Wembley tickets etc) has something to do with not knowing where Wycombe is. I didn't and I travel up and down the country. Oh. Just me then.It sounds northern.
Griffo Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 I've only just looked how close it is myself after reading through this thread and am now royally ****ed off I didnt sort myself out with tickets! Tickets are pay on the gate. You can still come if you wish.
Thedelldays Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 did not realise they are 2nd from bottom
RedArmy Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Definitely the worst team to come to SMS so far IMO. If we don't smash them we deserve to stay in this crappy league for another year.
Saint_clark Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 did not realise they are 2nd from bottom Look at where Tranmere are - remember when John Barnes was manager? They were bottom by about 6 points and had a -40 goal difference. He must really be sh*t.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 did not realise they are 2nd from bottom Been bottom 3 or 4 all season - poor side, with a squad that cost zero, ziltch, nowt. l2 for them next year fo sho. Should be a walk in the park tonight - they have lost heavy at home recently and another big defeat could hopefully be on the cards. The lost 4-1 to Yeovil at home (4-0 away) recently and lost 5-2 at home to Brighton a few weeks back! They did however (somehow) beat Millwall at home so this will give the 'happys' something to hold on to if the unthinkable did happen. COYR we need (have) to win this.
krissyboy31 Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 They did however (somehow) beat Millwall. This is what worries me TBH. Millwall have been on a really good run and would have expected to roll Wycombe over, in the same way we do. They have also got this keeper on loan that saved Harris's penalty on Saturday and he is a good penalty taker. That said, Saints' should win. I've just got this nagging doubt.

I'm not sure that Millwall away and Millwall at home are one and the same team, excellent at the New Den, p*ss poor away from it. Some would say that they can only play on their home turf.

The Norwich win aside, we are still very much in a poor run of form. Your nagging doubt probably isnt helped by the fact that we have failed to win 17 out of 29 league games (60% of league games this season we have failed to win) I too have nagging doubts, but as ever I will remain positive.

Sfc90 Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Anyone know if there is an online radio link for tonights game? Cheers
sfcjmcsfc16 Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Just stuck £10 on saints, and man u, to win £24.60 back
Matthew Le God Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Davis Otsemobor Fonte Jaidi Harding Antonio Hammond Puncheon Lallana Lambert Barnard Subs: Bialkowski Thomas Perry Wotton Mills Holmes Papa Waigo The pitch (taken within the last hour).
St Landrew Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Listening to Solent, someone has sent in a very good e-mail, citing that Wembley is a very good icing on the cake, but Saints must behave as if they can win every game from now on, until the end of the season. Right on the tail-end, the mailer mentioned being offended by commentary from Fratton Park at the weekend, when there was a mention of Saints being thumped, the previous week. Saints may have lost 4-1, but they certainly weren't thumped. I could have sent that e-mail myself.

Winchester Red Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 That is a very attacking team I'm expecting goals
Matthew Le God Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Morgan? Injured against Norwich. Hence why he came off and Saints finished the game against Norwich exactly how they are starting tonight with Puncheon in the middle.
Under Weststand Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Good looking team again tonight, same again Saints please COYR
scott_saints Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Not sure if I fancy Puncheon in the middle, but should still win with that team
Window Cleaner Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Not sure if I fancy Puncheon in the middle, but should still win with that team It's only temporary. Need to have everyone fit for Saturday's game against Carlisle who aren't too dusty just now.
Saint_clark Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Puncheon will do just as well in the middle as on the wing.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 The pitch (taken within the last hour). Pitch looks just fine.
modern matron Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Anyone know what's happened to Lloyd James - is he injured? Not on bench.....
Window Cleaner Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Morgan has a sore knee. probably where he got hit by that dirty Norwich **** last week and the bloke had the cheek to appeal.
Matthew Le God Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Not sure if I fancy Puncheon in the middle, but should still win with that team A lot of his games for MK Dons this season have been from a central position.
Window Cleaner Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Anyone know what's happened to Lloyd James - is he injured? Not on bench..... he was said to be injured at the end of last week, although AP doesn't mention it anywhere.
Saint_clark Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Pitch looks just fine. Not really. A few slide tackles and there will be a trench network running across it, no doubt.
scott_saints Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 Anyone know what's happened to Lloyd James - is he injured? Not on bench..... Nothing happened to him. Which is kinda why he isn't in the team.
SO16_Saint Posted 23 February, 2010 Posted 23 February, 2010 any radio links for this match anywhere??
