Wycombe have just signed a new keeper from manchester united who looks the deal and saved a great penalty last saturday.

any weather updates? no danger of the game being called off?

It'll be cold and drizzly but nothing to threaten the game going ahead.

Everytime I am hopeful of a good win, we lose or draw and everytime I fear we will lose, we go and win well. I am very hopeful of a win tonight :(

If we carry on the form last Saturday and for 60 minutes of the Pompey game we should play them off the park. However, that represents only 2 hours of football and our performances in the league since mid-December have been a bit iffy and even the MK Dons JPT game at home wasn't the most inspiring. Prior to Norwich our last 3 away games in the league all finished 1-1 (Exeter, Brentford and Millwall) and on balance were disappointing.

We hardly trounced Wycombe back in early December with a 1-0 win at home and whilst we have made some good signings we hardly fielded a bad team that night with a solid looking back 4 with Murty at RB and the alleged threat of Waigo up front with Lambert in the midst of his purple patch.

If Pardew can play the same 11 and formation then I remain hopeful but not overly confident as our record this season suggests it has draw written all over it. Perhaps the team that started against Norwich is Pardew's first choice 11 and if so I hope then can start to rewrite this season's records book. If so and we win convincingly then maybe our odds for a play off place will tumble into 100/1.

The key to our season remains our central midfield pairing and if Schneiderlin carries on his antics from Saturday he will start to make himself an easy target for a wiley opponent and Hammond IMO still needs to improve and calm down some of his more borderline challenges as neither are readily replaced despite the ridiculous size of our squad.

To have one of those two out through injury or suspension will see our slimmest of play offs hopes finally snuffed out. Wotton is no more than a stopper and really ony useful to help us to play out a game and protect a lead, James is to lightweight, a useful utility player but doesn't have the same bite or defensive awareness in CM and having him there would run the risk of our opponents running their proverbial hot knife through the butter of our midfield. We have Gillett who based on last season's form would offer us his terrier like ball winning qualities but clearly is not rated by Pardew and as football is best played by conident players I am not sure a marginalised player like Gillett could easily come in and fill the CM role without a few games to build that confidence. A confidence that at best would be fragile knowing in the case of a ban he would be only a temporary solution with little hope of retaining his position regardless of performance.

So a win please and I would like to see a calm, confident, assured and strong performance from Schneiderlin and Hammond and show they have the ability and temperment to play out the season as they are the absolute key to our success with no obvious replacements.

You haven't heard Morgans out with an injury tonight then? Seasons over:( Good news is APs managed to get Papa's twin brother in on an emergency loan to cover midfield to the end of the season:D

Actually I think James is more than capable in CM and has scored a couple of good goals from that postion.

Just phoned their ticket office... Told they have sold over 1400 away tickets.... said "a huge amount, over 1400" How many away tickets do they normaly sell?

Considering the number of games we've played this season our support really is fantastic.

It's hardly very far is it? I would have expected us to easily sell out 1,900 seen as we took 3,800 to Reading and it's pretty much the same distance.

But not everybody has unlimited supplies of money. Plenty have paid their Wembley tickets these last couple of day.

Didn't we play Reading on a sat? & this game tonight being midweek 1900 wont be bad.

it's a ****ty cold Tuesday game, I've got a ticket but I'm hardly excited at the prospect of finishing work at half five and driving up to Wycombe.

Really can't compare Tuesday and Saturday games, if I was going to compare it to a game it would be Swindon where we took 3,000 on a Tuesday although that was August and our first local away game so far more appealing than tonight.

Hopefully we will come close to selling out, hoping for a good atmosphere.

We were a league above, on a saturday, with no big games around it when we played Reading.

Now we are playing on a cold tuesday night, having just sold out the stadium twice in a week (one of which required you to buy another ticket for a home league game) with the Wembley tickets just gone on sale.

I for one think anything over 1000 in those circumstances is very good.

What the others have said. + the Madjeski is a much nicer ground than Adams Park TBF, with a lot more drinking potential nearby.

Does the ground serve beer? I have one heck of a walk to and back from the station!

Leaving at 4 pm really looking forward to it no team is going to just let us walk away with the points but if we play well we should have to much for Wycombe we need wins so I hope we just go for it COYS

In the Clubhouse at the ground, they allow visiting fans if you get there early enough. But not in the away end, its a humble little kiosk only with no beers

I've got 20 mins or so to make it back to the station after the game. I'm screwed.

In future, please always go with the latter.

I am hopeful tonight, especially after such a great win at the weekend.

Though i have never been able to rely on saints, i really hope we keep the same team tonight and go out and show a strong indication of desire.

It could however be a banana skin.

Still, saints win........ 2-0

If we lose or draw tonight then we can well and truly say goodbye to promotion this season. I think we will win though.

No disrepect but I think some one has said that (or something close to that) about every league match we've played this season. I still think the play offs are out this season mainly becuase the top eight sides keep putting results together and none of them look like slipping up (well maybe Leeds but we can't catch them). I still want us to win as many matches as possible for the rest of the season, I just can't see the playoffs happening this season (although I won't be unhappy to be proved wrong).

Just booked 2 tickets for tonight. Any ideas on the best place to park? I have heard that around the stadium can get very congested before and after the game.

park in the stadium car park. Go on I dare ya. I will be arriving late so I want to maximise my chances of finding a spot slightly away from the ground.

I wonder if the lower demand than expected (ignoring the other factors like Wembley tickets etc) has something to do with not knowing where Wycombe is. I didn't and I travel up and down the country. Oh. Just me then.

can anyone pick 2 of us up from eastleigh? ...willing to share costs of petrol etc

Err - yep - got room in the car. I can't PM you though and I'm not posting my number here - not sure how to contact you otherwise?

No, I thought that this morning as well. Plenty of fans probably don't even realise it's a localish game. I wouldn't have had much idea where Wycombe is.

I'm at uni in Edinburgh at the moment and booked tickets for this game ages ago just assuming that Wycombe was somewhere up north. Just looked at the map and not so sure I can make it anymore. Bugger.

You have tickets and only just looked at a map to see where the game is 4 hours before kick off! :D
