We desperately need ACWAB

Uber Lolage that it only took me (and probably most others on here ;)) a micro second to decode that :D

If they go out of business as a football club the lasting image (nightmare ) for many people at the mention of Skatesmuff would be that fish ****ging clown ....... what a legacy :smt043:smt044

I've never understood why the media thinks they're so great.

I remember watching them get hammered 5-0 by arsenal a few seasons ago (at fratton) and the commentators kept getting wood that the skates were still cheering on their team.

Seriously, losing 5-0 I wouldnt be cheering.

No, not many fans would. I've never bought into the 'Best Fans' status, however sometimes (not very often) I feel proud of my fellow fans, that night being one of them, I guess you had to be there to understand, it's not something I'm going to be able to explain, no Saints fan would ever wish to acknowledge it even if I could. :)

A couple of seasons ago, Wolves fans at Molineux, were singing we're going to beat them 7-6 to the tune of the whole world in his hands. Plus, they were backing Mick McCarthy to the absolute hilt. At that precise moment, they were losing 6-0 to Saints. That's what I call proper support, yet nobody talks about Wolves fans and great support in the same sentence. Brilliant support from Pompey is a bit of an urban myth. the core support may be impressive and loud, largely due to the high pitch that Play Up Pompey is sung out, but otherwise it seems nothing to write home about.

Wolves fans are excellent, I have to say.

Twice, probably three times the fanbase of little old Portsmouth too.

You know, It's funny 'cos I almost sited Wolves fans as 'great' but then just like pompey they're not really are they? However they do share alot of common traits with pompey fans, many of the same traits that are less attractive, but one a shared sence of defiance (Sometimes boardering on blind ignorance) in the face of adversity.
