I bet his fellow countrymen back home in their wooden shacks feel his pain

there are some excellent bank scams run from wooden shacks in Nigeria

I am the skates new saviour, because I've had an email from Nigeria telling me I've won a hundred million euros, all I've go to do is send a cheque for £10,000, do you think Storrie will advance me they money?

Extremely chuffed with the result. Must admit, I wasn't overly confident. 2-0 away to the unbeaten (their current run) league leaders is an excellent result & it sounded a spirited performance. Clean Sheet (good for defence & Kelvin's confidence). Barnard off the mark...twice (good for his confidence). Puts the Skate distraction behind us & winning such a pivotal league match will give the general team, manager, (hopefully) Chairmen & club confidence.

A good day at the office & I'm glad my bet was wrong, for once!

Don't give me that Alpine. You would be saying I told you so had we lost (or words to that effect.) I'm sure that you are ecstatic that you were totally and utterly wrong as I am.

why are you determined to have a pop at posters...why do people do this...even start threads about it..

just get over it..alpine made a comment on the team..not anyone other poster but about the team...

the points you are making are a tad ironic..

Good result today - 1 down 17 to go.

Lots of fans have said it was (very) unrealistic to expect the playoffs this season - hopefully this result has proved to them that we are a better side than they have given us credit for?

Hopefully AP will stick with a winning side too?

Lots of positives from today.

Off day from Norwich, but sounded like we were red hot anyway.

Nice one!

Think you'll find that post came from TDD.

Never mind, you are not the first to be falling over yourself to get a dig in that you end up ignoring the facts...:D

It's my 4th anniversary today of meeting my girlfriend, and boy is she going to have the arse on tonight. (Norwich fan - this fixture brings grief twice a season excluding cup comps!)

From what it sounds like we deserved to win. What a big win. With the Skates defeat fresh in the memory, and with this the first game of our unaffected League run (sans the JPT final which shouldn't be a distraction now), even a draw would have been an acceptable result. To win is, well, orgasmic. If she lets me, my other half is getting the good loving tonight, although I think I may be banished to the bathroom with a box of Kleenex.

I have my tickets for the Huddersfield and Hartlepool games now, and I can't wait. If we can beat the best team in the league, away, then we have definitely turned a corner on our season. Yes, we will lose again before the season is out, but I hope they're few and far between. We're unbeaten in the League in 2010 (which sounds better than it is), and long may that continue.

To my gf if she hacks my account - Az, love ya, but I also love Saints!

Some nice comments from Norwich fans

''What a disappointing afternoon that was. Saints fans on these boards will masturbate themselves silly over this but they really are an excellent side, stick all your money on them being champions next year. Lallana ran the show in midfield, Barnard looked lively and threatening even without his two goals, Puncheon was impressive down the right and I liked the look of Harding at left-back as well. Man of the match for me was Fonte though, an absolute beast at the back, we got no change out of him all day''

It will be tough to win the Championship next year...

Great result today and hopefully the start of a very fruitful partnership between Lambert and Barnard. I think Barnard just needed that little spark of confidence to get him started here, and he's shown today what he can do. A nice big win at Wycombe and then we can really get moving!

COYR!

Cracking result!

Looking at the table, if we win the 2 games in hand we could be up to 9th on 43 points and only 9 points from the play offs.

I know the play offs still look more un-realistic than realistic but I think it shows a little more hope.

Not a good day for Maths to day is it. 37+6=43. 54-43=11

However the good news is that if we beat Huddersfield we could be 8 points from the play-offs. That said, the play-offs went out of the window when we failed to beat Exeter.

Was a little bit shell shocked when I read that bit

I could perhaps have worded it better! One thing is for sure, I'm going to have to live with a grumpy girlfriend, or I'll get the silent treatment, which I much prefer although it never lasts long enough. (The silent treatment that is, everything else lasts long enough! :smt033)

Just back from the game (easy one for me!)

Where to start - number one this is the first time due to cup tied players etc that Pardew's first choice team have been able to start & what a TEAM they looked.

We were awesome today...Norwich didn't have an off day - they played as well as they were allowed to - we were that good.

Kelvin - did well when troubled & gave us the laugh of the game when leaving the ball behind when wasting a bit of time...comedy moment probably worth the booking.

Harding - Excellent both in attack & defence

Jaidi - Immense...didn't put a foot wrong...made Martin look very ordinary

Fonte -Imperious - He can make the difference to our run in, the missing link. Absolutely in control & calm as you like.

Ostemebor - Great game..linked well with Puncheon & Morgan/Hammond. Took some stick from the wurzels & answered in the best possible way.On this showing a good addition.

Lallana - worked his socks off...always available & so unlucky with the shots that came off the post.

Morgan - playing with this midfield allowed him top play his game...very controlled, just wish he'd score the first then more will come.

Hammond - Real captain's game...harried everything, drove his team, put himself in where it hurt.

Puncheon - My first sight in a Saints shirt...very assured, brought a fluency to the right & his two-footedness gave us options & Norwich the sh*ts. Predict he will be a very good signing

Ricky - What can you say? Won more balls in the air again than he was entitled to, linked well with everyone...this is why TEAM is in capital letters at the start. Signs of developing a good understanding with Barnard & that free kick.....!

Barnard - Ever willing in the matches I've seen him in & today it went for him...will score many more with the benefit of this team playing around him & supplying the chances. Pleased for him!

And the fans...loud, humorous...well done to all there. Much P*mp*y **** taking but a new one for me after the second went in ' And we've still got Waigo on the bench'

Classic - happy to have been there, happy with our prospects. I've said it's a big ask for the play-offs but with this, our strongest team, I think the big answer could be there!

Glad you mentioned this bit, seems some reports show that norwich had an off day, could it be that we played them off the park to deny them playing. I didn't go but well done saints, think we can go on a decent winning run now and who knows, a play off place?

Nope still dont see what you are chasing your tail about. You've made a tit of yourself, and arent even man enough to admit it.

Lol. If you don't understand then just ignore what I have written. I think everyone else can understand it. Still, great result as I said. We simply have to win midweek now. Have to.

A good all round performance by the sounds of it - now can I get to Wycombe?

One game at a time please lads - Wycombe next - and hopefully another 3-points although they managed a 1-0 win over Millwall today!

All we can do is qwin our games - Leeds are in free fall, and what betting we end up with them at Wembley in May IF we make the playoffs?

Much happier than this time last week - the "A" team has obvious bite and composure!

For me Huddersfield at SMS is a real 6-pointer in a couple of weeks - if we can win all our games up to then they will be dead worried about coming to SMS.

With some sensible ticket pricing the crowds could be close to sell outs for the home games - just what the doctor ordered. If the club want the big time invest in the crowds for the rest of the season.

Although I have no intention of panicking, we were thoroughly outplayed (and not just after the sending off) by avastly superior side in terms of pace, movement and creativity. I was very impressed with Saints, even allowing for the poorness of our performance, and they looked like a League leading side.
