Legod Third Coming Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 I think the Leeds fans would have something to say about that. No way - Leeds at home? Gone is Voldemort and his team of bottlers...
Matthew Le God Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 I think the Leeds fans would have something to say about that. Norwich are better than Leeds. Also the Leeds game is at home unlike todays game.
Under Weststand Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 What a great performance, Puncheon sounded like he had a great game. Well happy with that. We totally dominated a game for the full 90-mins fabulous. Well worth dropping points in the prediction league just a point today 2-2 prediction
Mr Saints Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 There isn't a better starting 11 than that in this league. Great win. Delighted for Barnard.
Fan The Flames Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Very good result, Norwich had to lose (at home) soon and I chuffed it was us that did it. Win those games in had and go on a Norwich style run and who knows where it will take us.
SamKimish Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 All very good points haha Some ridiculous fan has suggested on Twitter that there is a possiblity that Rickie Lambert could be the 5th striker on the plane to South Africa
Tractor_Saint Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Fantastic result. In Pardew I trust. COYR
.comsaint Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Looking good. Up to 12th: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/table/default.stm
Dan Johnson Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Fantastic result Doesnt mean anything unless we win our 2 games in hand then anything really is possible!
iansums Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Massive result and surely our best performance of the season. Unbeaten (in the league) this year W2 D3 and four of those games were away.
Under Weststand Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Very good result, Norwich had to lose (at home) soon and I chuffed it was us that did it. Win those games in had and go on a Norwich style run and who knows where it will take us. I still think we will just miss out, but as you say who knows? If we put pressure on the sides in the top 6 you never know they might slip up. Here's hoping anyway.
dune Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Very good performance, but way too early to even think about the play-offs. If we win 5 on the trot then maybe think about it then.
doggface Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Looks like cortese's comments sparked a reaction. I think we all know were capable but proving it is all that matters. I knew we could win but it would take our best performance this season - looks like we got it. Delighted for all now we need to kick on, really kick on but after today....you never know what we could achieve.
ericofarabia Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Great win and great performance - against the runaway form team of the Division. Sends out a message that we are a force, let's just hope it enables us to slip into the play-off places. Our performance last week was superb, and we've carried it on (and this time got the result we deserved!). Well done Pards and the lads. All I need now is Pompey 0 Stoke 5 (Beattie 3, Delap, Higginbottom) and my day is complete! Not too much to ask, surely?![/QUOTE] Well the hard part has been done .... part 2 should be a doddle
Saintandy666 Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Glad Barnard scored and maybe now we have a really formidable partnership between him and Lambert. Sounds like we played great, Norwich always seem to bring out the best in us.
Viking Warrior Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Great performance. sounded like a good all round team effort. onwards and upwards. I see its getting tight at the bottom of the league . Is the BBC table correct?
Cabrone Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Superb result and performance by the sounds of it. AP finally plays an attacking team away from home and takes the 3 points. Shame it's taken this long for the penny to drop. If we turn up for the rest of our games with an offensive team capable of taking it to the opposition then we'll win most of our remaining games.......and who knows, maybe the playoffs might still feature in this season.
Saint_clark Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 2 pages and no mention of the score? We lost 4-0. But the performance was alright.
Saint_clark Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Spiffing result chaps. Jolly good show. Rupert?

Be fair - when has he had Hammond available since? Last Saturday. And Puncheon? The week before that...
Toomer Posted 20 February, 2010 Author Posted 20 February, 2010 2 pages and no mention of the score? Barnard breaks his Saints duck in a 2-0 away win at Norwich.
Village Saint Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 how many saints fans were lucky enough to be there Less than there might have been. I became available to go this morning and rang Norwich to see if I could get a ticket and they said that there were 400 unsold tickets for the Saints end that they would be selling from the away ticket window as long as Saints sent them back. But they warned that I should ring Saints because the opposition for their last game didn't send the tickets back and therefore they couldn't sell them. Surprise surprise when I rang Saints ticket office they confirmed that they had NOT sent them back. Clearly they don't see service to the fans as a priority anymore.
Kingsland Red Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Awesome result and Millwall lost at Wycombe. COYR
Colinjb Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Norwich must be sick of the sight of us by now! Can't wait for our 15 seconds on the FL show tonight.
Arizona Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 In a car park in Norwich. Traffic isn't going anywhere, but I couldn't give a sh-t. great performance and result. Out played them in both halves. Lambert and Barny both could have had another each first half. Lallana was vey quiet first half, but hit the post twice second half. Barnard had one disallowed put of pure sympathy just before his second. A great team performance. Our front six took this **** all game, although Morgan was pretty disappointing. Punchy was awesome. How can this bloke not get into the Plymouth team???? MOTM, but Barny, Harding, SKD and Hammond were all brilliant. Still a massive task getting near the playoffs, but this was a thoroughly brilliant away day. To Wycombe!!
ericofarabia Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Oh Utaka you beauty .... poo pooing reports of his salary being 80000 quid a week and being badly hurt by such accusations, .... I'm only on 25-to 30000 thousand a week ........ pmsl. I bet his fellow countrymen back home in their wooden shacks feel his pain  Come on Stoke and make this a perfect weekend
saints-cris Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Bloody hell, did not expect that! Norwich on a blitz at home, and we go and beat them 2-0! Absoloutely chuffed, well done defence and Barnard. Couldnt have asked for more. Wycombe on Tuesday, lets get a run together now.
corsacar saint Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Totally elated, hope for the same performance and result against Wycombe, which will be my first away game of the season. Delighted for Lee Barnard.
Matthew Le God Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Can't wait for our 15 seconds on the FL show tonight. Don't complain... The full 90 minutes will be on Saints Player.
Saint_clark Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Don't complain... The full 90 minutes will be on Saints Player. No it won't, they only said they'd be doing it for home games
nickfinks Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Great Win, clean sheet, great performance.. COYR up the league we go
Matthew Le God Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Ok, will still be about 12 to 15 minutes when they put extended highlights on.
Jackie@home Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 BBC Five Live unbiased reporter just said that Norwich weren't in it. Norwich were definitely the best side we've played this season, so this is a great result. First time all our new signings have had some time to train together then play together - looks good for the rest of the season. I'm sure Pardew would have liked to have played more attacking football away from home at times, but the injury to Connolly scuppered his plans. This will do Barnard's confidence a lot of good, as he builds a partnership with the main man.
Window Cleaner Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 I bet his fellow countrymen back home in their wooden shacks feel his pain  p there are some excellent bank scams run from wooden shacks in Nigeria
thefunkygibbons Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Stunning result A few more like it and perhaps we can believe in the playoffs slot again
VectisSaint Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 I'm only on 25-to 30000 thousand a week ........ pmsl. I bet his fellow countrymen back home in their wooden shacks feel his pain  He comes from Nigeria, not Pompey
Thedelldays Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 fantastic result....superb stuff need to do this more often away from home
Bourno Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 In a car park in Norwich. Traffic isn't going anywhere, but I couldn't give a sh-t. great performance and result. I hope you are not in the multi storey, I made the mistake of parking there last season and it took me an hour to get out of it.
Thedelldays Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 norwich must be sick of the sight of us by now! Can't wait for our 15 seconds on the fl show tonight. .
hypochondriac Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Result of the season so far by a long way, and sounds like the performance of the season too. Very good reaction to losing to the blue slime as well. Real pity about the stupid yellows - hope they dont cost us in later games. What do you think of the weak right side?
Saint Charlie Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Now won more away than we have lost this season. Home draws at the beginning were the main issue, away form has generally been decent. Nice to hopefully have some consistency of selection and some impact players like Papa and Antonio on the bench!
Saint Charlie Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 What do you think of the weak right side? Looked poor to me. Wasn't at the game but we looked rubbish. Too many bookings, would rather have had a draw but no bookings and more pace in the team.
alpine_saint Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 What do you think of the weak right side? It was good enough today. Whats your next dig ?
Thedelldays Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 What do you think of the weak right side? I dont know what is worse..the moaners or the ones who want them to moan
Dalek2003 Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Just got back home, as I live in Norwich. Very, very good win. We played good professional football and the score could have been more emphatic. Feeling on top of the world. Here we go !
Iowsaintsfan Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Fantastic result, thought we would do well to get a point, but by the sounds of things we played a blinder and came out with all 3! Just hope our level doesnt drop on tueday because they are a lower team and think it will be easy! Play every game like today boys and we will have 2 trips to wembley!
alpine_saint Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 I dont know what is worse..the moaners or the ones who want them to moan I know. Pathetic p*ssing contest on here sometimes.
Thedelldays Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 I am interested to know how good puncheon and barnard really looked at the game..they sounded great on the radio
hypochondriac Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 It was good enough today. Whats your next dig ? Glad you were wrong.
