stevegrant Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 I am delighted to announce the launch of the SaintsWeb Podcast I will (hopefully) be joined on a fortnightly basis by a varying cast of Saints fans to discuss the current issues surrounding the club. In the first episode, Dan Kerins is alongside me to talk about the MK Dons and Pompey games as well as having a brief look along the M27 at their financial woes, wrapping up with previews of our trips to Norwich and Wycombe. To subscribe via iTunes, click "Advanced" and then "Subscribe to Podcast", and enter the following URL: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/podcasts/podcast.xml You can also subscribe via RSS at the same URL. If you've got a relatively recent web browser, from the main SaintsWeb home page, you can simply click on the RSS icon at the top of your browser. Feedback is obviously welcomed, either here or via email to podcast@saintsweb.co.uk
Pancake Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 d/ling now... should be a good lunch time listen Steve...
stevegrant Posted 19 February, 2010 Author Posted 19 February, 2010 Yeah, I wouldn't expect anything particularly good for our first go, by the way
B Rabbit Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 You talking to Dan Kerins...possibly the most boring conversation to be had anywhere in Ampshire...........and you've recorded it and put it on a Podcast
trousers Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 Nice work. Can we have an iPhone app next please? (so I can read the forum on the go without having to do a Rod Hull and Emu impersonation with my right hand all the time....) ta
B Rabbit Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 oh and Baj....there might be some dirty perverted joke in there somewhere... i'll keep listening
Pancake Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 Nice work. Can we have an iPhone app next please? ta or a SaintsWiki... *whistles*
Hatch Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 I can't wait to get home and listen to this. +1. I'll gather the family around. Turn off Eastenders
Danny Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 You talking to Dan Kerins...possibly the most boring conversation to be had anywhere in Ampshire...........and you've recorded it and put it on a Podcast It's only the most boring because no-one was talking to you Rabbit.
Dog Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 I have just listened to it. It's brilliant, lot's of swearing and giggling. Sounds like Jason Dodd?
Danny Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 Dan sounds like Alan Davies. I'm honestly not too sure how to take that!
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 'Explicit' eh? Oh er! Always thought there should be a Saints podcast somewhere online, nice one!

Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 Steve, you sound a bit like Scott Mills (no offence intended!)
Weston Saint Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 Well done Steve, Dan and Baj. Decent start Dan, I did listen to it all the way through and yes you did sound like Alan Davies
The9 Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 This is weird, I've spoken to all three of these so-called individuals, and haevn't noticed either the Scott Mills or Alan Davies things. Maybe they have, (bwahaha) special "Radio Voices" ?
Crab Lungs Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 (edited) I would be more than honoured to contribute to your podcasts by revisiting and amping up my traditional (circa 03-05) 'Crab Lungs' persona. Edited 19 February, 2010 by Crab Lungs
Tractor_Saint Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 Steve, you sound a bit like: Especially when he said 'know their onions'
fish fingers Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 Steve, you sound a bit like: Looks like him to
JonnyLove Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 I liked it. Listened to the whole thing as well. When’s the next one?
stevegrant Posted 19 February, 2010 Author Posted 19 February, 2010 I liked it. Listened to the whole thing as well. When’s the next one? Probably record Sunday week, released Monday (1st March)
Tractor_Saint Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 I liked it. Listened to the whole thing as well. When’s the next one? Agreed - subscribed to it now on the HTPC. That'll throw the website stats as to browser type
RedAndWhite91 Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 Yep, very good. I gave my feedback to SaintsWeb twitter, but no harm in saying well done on here as well.
Foxy Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 That was fun to listen to, thanks fellas. And I did listen to the end, only missing the bits drowned out by the noise of the kettle about halfway through (my end that is, I was enjoying the podcast but I wouldn't want to have to go without a cuppa)
Saint Fan CaM Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 Sounding good - I like it. Can anyone set-up and transmit a podcast? How do you do it?
Baj Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 Let's hope your spoken word is better than your grammar.
eurosaint Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 Amazed myself by getting into it in the first place and must say that it was pretty good ! The section re. Skates and Storrie was particularly interesting (perhaps because it reflected my own opinion!). Well done lads, I will listen again next time !
RedAndWhite91 Posted 19 February, 2010 Posted 19 February, 2010 Very cool! Loving the introductory theme I cannot tell you how pleased I am that they seemingly used the original song by the Skids, rather than the crap U2 and Greenday version.
SuperMikey Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Best bit: "....and our producer Baj" "HELLO"
Micky Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Good stuff - enjoyed everything that you covered - looking forward to the next installment.
Northant Saint Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 well done boys, sounded very good having listened to the whole thing- reflected a lot of my own opinions. Next step- SaintsWebTV
stmusicdude Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Thanks for this I loved it will be great to hear these on way to matches
bognor regis pete Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Good Podcast more please, took an age to download in iTunes. Still worth it.
Baj Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Best bit: "....and our producer Baj" "HELLO" Apart from the occasional laugh, that was about as far as I was willing to talk...
SamKimish Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 It's only the most boring because no-one was talking to you Rabbit. I wonder if he talks in orange?
Saint Fan CaM Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Next step- SaintsWebTV Funny you should mention that - I was reminded of Waynes World for some reason!
whizzpop Posted 20 February, 2010 Posted 20 February, 2010 Great show guys, keep it up...a podcast is also what a club of our size requires!
dignified_blunderer Posted 21 February, 2010 Posted 21 February, 2010 Very good! Been looking for a saints podcast for ages! Thanks for doing it. Looking forward to the next one.
Wilko Posted 21 February, 2010 Posted 21 February, 2010 I feel like my little finger injury, which still blights my days, is being mis-represented.
Saint Mikey Posted 22 February, 2010 Posted 22 February, 2010 Not a bad effort chaps. I listen to a lot of podcasts, the Guardian and The Times footy ones religiously. If you do continue, it would be nice if you could have a quick phone chat with special guests. Current players, ex-players telling their stories of the club, any coaches, physio or even the manager giving us a bit of insight. Maybe even Cortese would give you 5 mins! OK, so maybe over doing it, but surely you'd be able to dig up some ex-players to have a chat? Good work though...
