pele Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Alpine - the difference between optimist and pessimist is null, the optimist sees the doughnut, the pesimist sees the hole!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bakovnetski Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Durso you w*nker! Could have given it.
alpine_saint Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Durso you w*nker! Could have given it. What do you mean ?
John B Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Its was a simple question, FFS.... It is not a simple question as it depends on other factors
gjphilsaint Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Alpine - the difference between optimist and pessimist is null, the optimist sees the doughnut, the pesimist sees the hole!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! any jam ones?
alpine_saint Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 It is not a simple question as it depends on other factors What "factors" did his interpretation depend on ?
Bakovnetski Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 What do you mean ? Dodgy penalty. Always given against us.
Arizona Posted 20 September, 2008 Author Posted 20 September, 2008 any jam ones? Ooooh. Now I'm hungry...
Saint Martini Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Its not only a low attendance in the stadium. On here there's a few open seats as well.
gjphilsaint Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 my last post was not doughnut related
The Majestic Channon Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 No way. This must be bolllox. This is a Saturday game, FFS. Even I am shocked if this is true. It is indeed true my pessimistic yodeling fellow sufferer.
John B Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 What "factors" did his interpretation depend on ? Nottingham Forest If you had said if Barnsley win today as Nottingham Forest get a better result than Saints will Saints be bottom . The answer to that is Yes
Bakovnetski Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Dennis does sound like he had a skinfull at lunch.
saintjay77 Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Of course, the boycott is having no impact of crowd numbers according to the luvvies. Would be nice to know how many of the people staying away are only doing so as a boycott and how many are not there due to being skint. Would also be nice to know if attendances are up or down on average right accross the football leagues. If they are all down I take it every other club is supporting our Lowe boycott?
Leicestersaint Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Five Live man says we are playing really well - should have scored twice and had a penalty. but then the referee is one A Durso - goodness help us all.
gjphilsaint Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Would be nice to know how many of the people staying away are only doing so as a boycott and how many are not there due to being skint. Would also be nice to know if attendances are up or down on average right accross the football leagues. If they are all down I take it every other club is supporting our Lowe boycott? another reason could be that less people are bothered about saints these days
Rod Le Shearer Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Does this mean we will got bottom if Barnsley win ? what made your genious mind come to that conclusion, the bit about possesion,or the bit about teams ABOVE us winning ? moron.
pele Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 No matter what way you look at it, the crowd numbers are poor!
Guest Hacienda Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Would be nice to know how many of the people staying away are only doing so as a boycott and how many are not there due to being skint. Would also be nice to know if attendances are up or down on average right accross the football leagues. If they are all down I take it every other club is supporting our Lowe boycott? No doubt there are many factors but to deny that people are staying away because of Lowe is plain daft.
saintjay77 Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 No way. This must be bolllox. This is a Saturday game, FFS. Even I am shocked if this is true. I agree with you on this one alps. Figured a mid week match on a school night when money is tight would be lower. I know we are not againsts attractive oposition but still a sat match I would have thought it would be nearer 18,000 today.
The Majestic Channon Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Would be nice to know how many of the people staying away are only doing so as a boycott and how many are not there due to being skint. Would also be nice to know if attendances are up or down on average right accross the football leagues. If they are all down I take it every other club is supporting our Lowe boycott? Bet they would'nt be so skint if we were riding high or in the prem.
gjphilsaint Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 a very good idea to recycle the first half thread to take in half time too. Saints go green!! Well done all. Am now off to turn on all my lights
Tac-tics Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 you lot sound optimistic, how we doing then?
alpine_saint Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 what made your genious mind come to that conclusion, the bit about possesion,or the bit about teams ABOVE us winning ? moron. Not knowing the table situation, but vaguely knowing that Barnsley and those three teams are around us in the table. Its not rocket science. Neither is knowing the difference between a question and a conclusion or how to spell "genius"..
saintjay77 Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 No doubt there are many factors but to deny that people are staying away because of Lowe is plain daft. I think your right in that there are many factors and no doubt some are staying away just because Lowe is back. But until he sells his shares he has never gone away. I still think many other teams will be getting lower attendances right now and they cant all be blamed on Lowe.
VectisSaint Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Its was a simple question, FFS.... Simple question, simple answer...We were still playing the first half, it was 0-0 and you have your usual negative slant on things. I know you want us to be bottom, but a simple check of the league table would show you that Forest were below us so the outcome of our game does not decide who is bottom. FFS.
1576 Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Would be nice to know how many of the people staying away are only doing so as a boycott and how many are not there due to being skint. Would also be nice to know if attendances are up or down on average right accross the football leagues. If they are all down I take it every other club is supporting our Lowe boycott? I'm one. The day Lowe goes I'll be buying a season ticket again until then I get to do DIY (watch the golf) on a Saturday.
Guest Hacienda Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 I think your right in that there are many factors and no doubt some are staying away just because Lowe is back. But until he sells his shares he has never gone away. I still think many other teams will be getting lower attendances right now and they cant all be blamed on Lowe. But have there crowds collapsed by 8000 odd on average?
gjphilsaint Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Sky barely draw breath on saints game before spending loads of time on brighton game!!!!!!!
John B Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 ramifications of a 0-0 final score? The defence will have done well but the attack would have done badly. According to the BBC we have had only two shots in the first half
alpine_saint Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Simple question, simple answer...We were still playing the first half, it was 0-0 and you have your usual negative slant on things. I know you want us to be bottom, but a simple check of the league table would show you that Forest were below us so the outcome of our game does not decide who is bottom. FFS. "negative slant" ? I asked a f**king question, FFS. Yes, I could have checked the table, but I hadnt and I was already here.
saintjay77 Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Bet they would'nt be so skint if we were riding high or in the prem. for sure more people would find the money but that just cause football fans are quite fickle. I am just providing a different argument to the "credit crunch and famin is all Lowe's fault" which is just as tedius as the lowe luvies thinking he is going to prove to be our saviour. its all just football after all
John B Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 But have there crowds collapsed by 8000 odd on average? How many season tickets wer sold last season and how many this season?
hutch Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Only listening on SaintsTV. Sounds like BWP is seeing a fair bit of the ball, but not doing much with it. Maybe a change there for 2nd half (not Dire please)
Northant Saint Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 "negative slant" ? I asked a f**king question, FFS. Yes, I could have checked the table, but I hadnt and I was already here. Yes you may have asked a question, but we all know your secret agenda alpine.
Guest Hacienda Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 How many season tickets wer sold last season and how many this season? Down by 4000ish I believe.
Guest Hacienda Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 Yes you may have asked a question, but we all know your secret agenda alpine. If we all know it how can it be secret?
Tac-tics Posted 20 September, 2008 Posted 20 September, 2008 ****ING answer me you sii's how are we doing
