Pomp*y Wants to sell players - OUTSIDE the transfer window

It seems our cousins down the road have asked the FA if they can sell players outside of the transfer window!

Is it me or should we put in an official complaint as they bought in players, played us and stoke, and now want to sell some, outside of the established rules.

Something smells more fishy than the previous smell of haddock from the 'plaice'.

However it seems to be a moot point as apparently it is a FIFA condition.

I'm sorry but administration has to be the best possible scenario for PFC now! Just don't understand why it hasn't happened already!

Because they can't legally do it with a WUO hanging over them.

I think that it's because they already have the winding up petition hanging over them and due to be heard on 1 March. Its out of the director's hands now and up to the Courts.

That's good to hear. After all this time i'm gonna be gutted if they don't get shut down.

The fact that they had a month to sell their players and decided not to, and then actually brought in more players prior to our game in the knowledge they had no way of paying them is nothing short of cheating and the sooner they get shut down the better.

In a more extreme example, saints could have signed the entire man united team, thrashed pompey, then said sorry we can't actually afford the transfer fees or wages, never mind, can you open the window again so we can sell them.

I don't think administration is now an option. The only way they can sell players now to realise money is liquidation. Even then there's no guarantees of generating revenue, they had to sell within the window as FIFA will not allow that rule to be bypassed.

Exactly, looking at it this way the Premier League CANNOT allow them to sell players. But then again there had been talk about the PL protecting them from liquidation to some extent to avoid giving themselves a headache.

If they are allowed to sell players there will be massive uproar from many other managers and owners.

Plus Voluntary Administration would always have allowed someone truly independent to dig into their accounts....

The end is nigh. ;-)
