Matthew Le God Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 (edited) New message on Saints Player... In our efforts to continually improve and increase the videos on SaintsPlayer we will be continually trying to bring you THE FULL 90 MIN for every home match with the original SaintsPlayer commentary provided by BBC Solent. They have already had the full 90 minutes on video for a few games this season(Pompey, Wycombe, Torquay and Man Utd under 18's). Now it seems they are doing it for every game! A great purchase for £17.99 a year - I sound like a sales rep Edited 16 February, 2010 by Matthew Le God
Glasgow_Saint Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 Who watches 90 minutes of any games 3 or 4 days after the live event?
saintkiptanui Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 Who watches 90 minutes of any games 3 or 4 days after the live event? A fan maybe, not a whinging part time c*nt:shock:
Matthew Le God Posted 16 February, 2010 Author Posted 16 February, 2010 Someone that is a Saints fan in the UK or abroad and was unable to goto the game?
Spades Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 Who watches 90 minutes of any games 3 or 4 days after the live event? gota agree. Whilst its a nice idea, i cant see many people wanting to watch the whole game a few days after... at that stage most would only want to see highlights of the key moments... Unless of course they live in a cave and havnt heard the score yet, in which case watchin he full 90 three days after would be fine
Glasgow_Saint Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 A fan maybe, not a whinging part time c*nt:shock: I watch highlights - only folk with too much time (or super duper fans like saintkiptanui) watch the full 90 minutes when they already know the score!
Matthew Le God Posted 16 February, 2010 Author Posted 16 February, 2010 Game of the day on Sky shows the whole 90 minutes of the best Prem game and is very popular.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 Game of the day on Sky shows the whole 90 minutes of the best Prem game and is very popular. Same day not 4 days later
Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 Bloody hell, you lot would complain about anything...
saintkiptanui Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 I watch highlights - only folk with too much time (or super duper fans like saintkiptanui) watch the full 90 minutes when they already know the score!I often take days off work to watch full 90 mintues of games in the past, I especially enjoy the turgid 0-0 draw against Derby under the branfoot era.
Saint_clark Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 Well seeing as it doesn't have to be edited as much as the highlights are, i'd imagine it would be up the day after games. Which would be very good. I'm sure some people abroad would be able to avoid this place for one day just so they could watch it "properly". As long as they don't put the result in the f*cking title...

Yeah but thats a classic game, anyone would watch that game over and over and over! I wonder which ecstatic Brighton fan recieved the dvd of there win at SMS!? http://www.seagulls.co.uk/page/Latest/0,,10433~1890010,00.html
Bourno Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 90 mins - what happens if there is injury time does it cut off ;.)

I wonder which ecstatic Brighton fan recieved the dvd of there win at SMS!? http://www.seagulls.co.uk/page/Latest/0,,10433~1890010,00.html We had this discussion before, Brighton - like a fair few clubs - produce DVDs for every single one of their wins. They cost less than a tenner to make and sell for a fiver, so they only need to sell two to make their money back.

As long as they don't put the result in the f*cking title... Not likely - takes them 4 days to stick the highlights up, even the BBC get highlights up quicker. You dont have to pay extra for the BBC highlights either so a bit backwards. Times when they have added the full 90 minutes, its shown up 4 sometimes 5 days after the event.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 They cost less than a tenner to make and sell for a fiver Do you look after Pompeys books per chance?
Saint_clark Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 Do you look after Pompeys books per chance? These tin pot clubs who are in masses of debt need to scrape every last penny...
saintwarwick Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 Who watches 90 minutes of any games 3 or 4 days after the live event? Quite a few fans who couldn't attend I would imagine, you can then give your events of the gamer rather than the edited highlights version.
dubai_phil Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 I watch highlights - only folk with too much time (or super duper fans like saintkiptanui) watch the full 90 minutes when they already know the score! Well.... later this week that may change... We all know the score in Saturday's game, but we may want to watch it again if the result changes thanks to HMRC:)
suewhistle Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 ...and be able to argue with all the fans who were [and quite a number who were not] there about tactics, who played well...
Smirking_Saint Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 If they are up quick i may bother to pay the saints player fee, if it takes a few days then its not really worth it.
Smirking_Saint Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 ...and be able to argue with all the fans who were [and quite a number who were not] there about tactics, who played well... Oh yeah forgot this gem, well atleast Alpine would be able to make up his own mind . No offence chap !! I have always thought that games on TV are too narrow anyways, it's much better being there as you get a better perception of a player. IMO anyways.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 Quite a few fans who couldn't attend I would imagine, you can then give your events of the gamer rather than the edited highlights version. Nobody is talking about the game 4 days later! If the highlights are on same night or next day (*which they wont be) its a different matter, but for now its no good having full 90 minute coverage 4 days after the live event. All imo - most will agree, some will disagree just to argue (as equally pointless as showing a 'live' game 4 days late)
gonzo Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 I think it's a good thing, if there's the option of edited highlights as well. Some people like to be able to watch a full match again after the event. Bearing in mind it's only £3.99 per month for the Saints Player, I think it represents good value, personally.

Bit too far up your own arse imo.
TijuanaTim Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 Who watches 90 minutes of any games 3 or 4 days after the live event? I would, especially if I could avoid the result!
SFC Forever Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 There are times that I would. Especially if I wanted to check out something seen in a game that I wasn't sure of as it would either confirm or refute my memory of the event.
PercyR Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 Who watches 90 minutes of any games 3 or 4 days after the live event? AP
Saint_clark Posted 16 February, 2010 Posted 16 February, 2010 AP What's Alan Partridge got to do with it?

Saint_clark Posted 17 February, 2010 Posted 17 February, 2010 Is this available to people abroad ? Yep, same as all Saints Player services. So you can now lie and say you have watched the games, and your opinion is as valid as anyones
