Pardew finally there with team selection! Maybe thomas in for otsemobor but can understand with being former club and point to prove n stuff...

Barnard will come good now, very confident with him scoring given this midfield and formation. no matter how sharp the nail, unless u got the hammer, it aint gonna stick.

Waigo

Lambert

Barnard

Connolly

= beautiful!

only two I would debate (not having seen Puncheon playing for us) are

RB - think Thomas good option

Barnard v Waigo.

But happy with that side - guessing Waigo/Antonio are good from bench as game opens out

In the little video that was the backdrop to APs preview the other day Barnard and Lambert were practising their close range scoring skills, got better as well.

Did I say no pace or "not much pace" yep the latter

Last week the pace of Owusu destroyed us!

So the player that played left wing for Pompey had too much pace.

Alan Pardew puts a very, very quick right back like Jon Otsemobor in the team, and you complain. :D

Lallana, Harding, Puncheon, Otsemobor are certainly not slow for League One.

Antonio and Papa Waigo are options on the bench if needed.

what did you expect with Thomas and Perry in the side?

That's Thomas's big problem; snail's pace, same with Perry. Reading the game is all very fine but it's worth diddly squat when you have a winger who can run the 100 in about 10.2 and still juggle the ball at the same time, sure they can 'read' the game, from the half-way line looking back.
