SaintDonkey Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 You didn't mishear. The announcer kept changing the figures. Yerp I noticed at half time he was back to the 38k figure I'm guessing it's the lower number as at one point he said only 10 thousand tickets left.
EBS1980 Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 Are tickets only available direct from Saints? Can you get them direct from Wembley??
Saint Keith Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 Are tickets only available direct from Saints? Can you get them direct from Wembley?? you can get them from wembley, but only hospitality packages
JRM Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 it is bonkers. there are still about 8k tickets left. but hardly any will be sold for the next 7 days due to allowing a week and a half for MK Dons linked sale, no logic around that at all. would be good for the club to show a bit more encouragement to get as many there as possible = sell out and publically request more tickets. 20k empty seats will look ridiculous. requesting more tickets now wont hold much weight with so many still unsold at the mo
Smirking_Saint Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 It will be a sell out i imagine, everyone will come out of the woodwork come the general sale.
CWD Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 old man got ours yesterday. I cant remember ever being so excited!
Smirking_Saint Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 Me too now, well happy, got the wembley club tickets, going up on coach and having a few bevvies in the globe, then onwards towards Wemberlee
JRM Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 It will be a sell out i imagine, everyone will come out of the woodwork come the general sale. we will sell out easily. we would have sold out by now with shorter purchasing windows and allowance to buy more tickets for people to take family / mates with them, e.g 3 per season ticket holder. i know it is for segregation, but can no one else see the irony of all these ticket restrictions / purchasing windows when a whole 1/4 of the ground will be empty.

They will not and never were going to give us more than the 44,000. The empty sections apart from the Club Wembley blocks are in the upper tier above the Carlisle fans.

The empty sections apart from the Club Wembley blocks are in the upper tier above the Carlisle fans. Which ever way you look at it, it is stupid. How hard could it be for Wembley to manage ticketing lay outs so that the maximum number of seats could be available. Can't be that hard, they get a fair bit of practice, instead everyone loses out this way.
croome Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 How many tickets will be available at the end of the week???
krissyboy31 Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 How many tickets will be available at the end of the week??? My guess? 4 or 5K.
oldsarum Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 37000 sold now http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1983363,00.html
wokingsaints Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 i am unable to get a ticket till next wednesday, so if only 3000 left i stand no chance. looks like i will be applying to carlisle then
dune Posted 3 March, 2010 Posted 3 March, 2010 Word I just got was only 3,000 left. Jeez Are you hearing voices too?
SFKA South Woodford Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Anyone know what the latest sales figure is? Must be close to 40,000 by now surely.
krissyboy31 Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 O/S Twitter just confirmed that on-line sales for phase 3 will commence at midnight Tuesday.
dellboypete Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 I went to the semi but my wife didn't (we are both on the database), so I was going to wait till next week so I could buy two together. I phoned this morning, and the ticket office confirmed that they had sold nearly 40k and couldn't guarantee that I would be able to get 2 tickets next week. So I bought mine this morning. My son has bought two through Carlisle with no probs.
Smirking_Saint Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Watching the england game last night got me so excited that i am going to be there, i seriously seriously cannot wait, tin pot paint trophy or not it's gonna be a great day out. And hopefully a better result than the last time i saw us in the final

geordiesaint Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Anyone know how many we took to cardiff cup final in 2003 just out of interest?
wokingsaints Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 My son has bought two through Carlisle with no probs. so have I!
marc_saint Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Anyone know how many we took to cardiff cup final in 2003 just out of interest? I think our allocation was 25,000 25k to each team and the rest were corperates
SaintDonkey Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Not many sold today then? A thousand sold in a day isn't bad considering that they're still only on sale to season ticket holders and however many of the 29,000 area final attenddees weren't season ticket holders.
SaintDonkey Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Bored so doing some sums... last heard we had 12,500 season ticket holders http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1943451,00.html If each of them bought 2 Wembley tickets that would be 25,000 sold. Saints attendence at the MK Dons match was 29,901 minus 447 away fans that's 29,454 if we assume that say about 2000 season ticket holders could make it that's another 19,000 potential purchasers. 25,000 + 19,000 = 44,000 Bloody glad now I'm not waiting for general sale On the brightside for those who are I'm sure plenty of non-season ticket holders are going as the number 2s of season ticket holders.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Glad I got corporate, otherwise I'd be in trouble now!
The Godfather Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Once the general sale starts the remaining tickets will go very quickly.
Badger Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 My son has bought two through Carlisle with no probs. Out of interest,is he resident up there to be able to get them,or is it easy on line ? (Cue avalanche of new support for Carlisle,of people discovering Cumbrian roots, all with an SO postcode!!)

But I bet a fair number of these "number 2's" are people who hardly ever go to Saints games but just fancy a trip to Wembley - and they are getting tickets at the expense of us non-ST holders who are regular fans but didn't make it to the MK Dons match. I think it would have been fairer if they had limited ST holders to 2 tickets each regardless of whether they went to the semis or not.
Channon's Sideburns Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 (edited) Thank you for all the kind responses to my problem stated in earlier post today. I think we're now sorted. Cheers to all. Edited 4 March, 2010 by Channon's Sideburns
Tokyo-Saint Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 What a nightmare. Me and my brother have been to most games home and away this season except for midweek games as I live in London and he lives near Manchester. We weren't able to go to the semi finals because of this reason and now look pike we will miss out on the final. Think our place will be taken by some plus ones that are going for the first time this season. Anyone know anything about the extra 10k we requested?

Tokyo-Saint Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 That's like not pike of course....bloody iPhone!
Tokyo-Saint Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Could do If we don't get any next Wednesday. Won't be the same if we can sing saints songs and cheer on the team.
Sour Mash Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Could do If we don't get any next Wednesday. Won't be the same if we can sing saints songs and cheer on the team. You should be fine, just make sure you're both quick off the blocks first thing Wednesday morning.
Plumstead_Saint Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Anyone got a spare customer number? I can only buy one ticket from next Wednesday, because my 9 year old son [who came with me to the Hearts, Charlton, Leyton Orient, Millwall, and Norwich games] doesn't have his own customer number! Any PMs appreciated ...of course that's if there are any tickets left next Wednesday
itchen Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 I'm still not sure if I've got a ticket or not. I normally buy my tickets in person so don't have a customer number but always use the same credit card. I went to the ticket office on Monday (couldn't get through on the phone) and showed them my MK Dons area final ticket. They checked this and checked my credit card history then got me to fill in a form asking, among other things, what price ticket I wanted for Wembley. But as they didn't actually allocate me a ticket there and then but just put my form in a filing tray I'm not sure if it is to be processed this week or when the tickets go on general sale. Anybody else know or do I just have to wait and see what the postman brings on the 16th?
LVSaint Posted 5 March, 2010 Posted 5 March, 2010 Am kicking myself now for not taking up the offer of a '+1' from a ST holder. I was waiting for general sale to purchase with a few other fans but realise now, I probably don't have a database number as the few matches I've been to over the years, I've paid cash on the day. What are my options? Sorry, I know it's probably been covered many times already.. Cheers
carljack Posted 5 March, 2010 Posted 5 March, 2010 Under 5000 tickets left Now,and they are all in the 24 Pound seats. As at 10am

You'll just have to hope someone has a spare they are willing to sell for face value.
iansums Posted 5 March, 2010 Posted 5 March, 2010 I still don't why they cannot offer us more tickets if we sell out. If you look at this: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1969536,00.html and then this: http://www.carlisleunited.co.uk/staticFiles/87/49/0,,10361~149895,00.pdf What is the problem in selling blocks 517-524 to Saints fans?
Matthew Le God Posted 5 March, 2010 Posted 5 March, 2010 http://www.carlisleunited.co.uk/staticFiles/87/49/0,,10361~149895,00.pdf What is the problem in selling blocks 517-524 to Saints fans? They probably don't want Saints fans in tiers above Carlisle fans and dropping stuff on them. Not that this would happen but is probably a H&S policy.

Plumstead_Saint Posted 5 March, 2010 Posted 5 March, 2010 Phew! Sorted at last. Thanks a lot to those who responded and helped me out. BTW The guy I just spoke to in the ticket office seemed confident that there would still be some available on Wednesday.

I would be really disappointed if we were unable to go, more so for my grandson.
