Foxstone Posted 5 March, 2010 Posted 5 March, 2010 Phew! Sorted at last. Thanks a lot to those who responded and helped me out. BTW The guy I just spoke to in the ticket office seemed confident that there would still be some available on Wednesday. My son and I hope so too !

andysstuff Posted 5 March, 2010 Posted 5 March, 2010 Phew! Sorted at last. Thanks a lot to those who responded and helped me out. Thank goodness for that... I really was worried! COYR!
The Majestic Channon Posted 5 March, 2010 Posted 5 March, 2010 I'm in the top tier somewhere between the halfway line and the corner flag, can anyone tell me what it's like up there? will i need binoculars ? can you feel the atmosphere?

Looks up in the gods, but you get a fantastic view and the atmosphere easily spread, don't worry
StDunko Posted 7 March, 2010 Posted 7 March, 2010 Does anyone know if there are any £34 tickets left in blocks 524-527? I have a friend that wants to get a ticket as close to the rest of us as possible, but I heard a rumour that there were only £24 tickets left.
John McAndrew Posted 7 March, 2010 Posted 7 March, 2010 as far as i can make out from posts on here and talking to people there are only £24 tickets left
millsy Posted 8 March, 2010 Posted 8 March, 2010 Anyone know how many tickets will be available on Wednesay? Have a couple of mates after some.

Thanks you can buy tickets in the neutral section but at a premium through ticket agencies. £50 tickets going for about £115 incl VAT, £7.50 delivery charge etc. i thought better of it, and bought one for the carlilse section for £27.50 incl del!!!!
Channon's Sideburns Posted 8 March, 2010 Posted 8 March, 2010 I thought that the Area Final ticket holders only had until last Friday??? Have they changed it??
dune Posted 8 March, 2010 Posted 8 March, 2010 i thought better of it, and bought one for the carlilse section for £27.50 incl del!!!! Why? Everyone that's on the phone first thing Wednesday (and uses the magic number) will get tickets.

niceandfriendly Posted 9 March, 2010 Posted 9 March, 2010 Now they've taken the Wembley section offline. Just missed it.
krissyboy31 Posted 9 March, 2010 Posted 9 March, 2010 Twitter: officialsaints Sorry for confusion, just been told by ticket office that online sales for Wembley will start @ 8.30 tomorrow - same as phonelines #saintsfc
niceandfriendly Posted 9 March, 2010 Posted 9 March, 2010 Looks almost certain that we'll sell out tomorrow. I can't believe we've sold so many, so quickly. It's going to be a cracking day.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 9 March, 2010 Posted 9 March, 2010 Here's a conversation I had last night at work Me "Do you fancy covering me on the 28th? I'd quite like to go to Wembley..." Colleague "Oh! I want to go to Wembley too! I dunno mate" Boss "I don't know if you'll be able to get tickets, you aren't on the database" Colleague "Oh right.. This may sound dumb but.. Who are we playing" Boss "You want to go to Wembley, and you don't know who we are playing?!" Me "We're playing Man Utd!!" Colleague "Really?! I might support them then" I wonder how many people in our section at Wembley on the 28th haven't seen Saints this season (or ever, even). I wonder how many people in our section don't actually support us? It's a shame, but I guess it's an inevitability.

The first being the Skates game. They're there to support Saints and they'll join in with the songs, but they're no way hardcore supporters. They wouldn't come and see us play Hartlepool on a Tuesday night for example. I think a lot of fans like that will be at Wembley, but they're more than welcome as far as I'm concerned.

He even said last night he didn't even like football, he just wanted to see Wembley. It's these people who won't know songs, won't know the squad etc that will annoy me. If they genuinely support Saints, that's fair enough. If they don't, then they don't have a place in our section.
krissyboy31 Posted 9 March, 2010 Posted 9 March, 2010 http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/5048426.Empty_seats_means_fans_miss_Saints__final/ Saints believe that there is demand for at least another 10k tickets.

Thankfully though I don't think many of those people will have been able to get their hands on tickets. It won't go to unrestricted general sale, like they have at Carlisle.

If they are taking the tickets of genuine fans (I.E. fans that go to matches regularly but for some reason are not either ST holders, did not go to either leg of the area final or are not on the database). However I don't see anything wrong with anyone wanting to be part of the occasion if they are lucky enough to get tickets and who knows? It may inspire them to come back more regularly in the future?
B Rabbit Posted 9 March, 2010 Posted 9 March, 2010 Good to hear NC is actively trying to get more seats. Seems totally irrational and daft that we can't get more when seats are going spare...completely stupid.
anothersaintinsouthsea Posted 9 March, 2010 Posted 9 March, 2010 Quick question hopefully not been asked already, but can season ticket holders who've already purchased a ticket when it was STs only buy another ticket when it goes on database sale tomorrow? Reason I ask is that 3 of us want tickets but only two of us are on the database, was wondering if the details of an ST holder mate would work.

As long as you havent bought 4 tickets with the two season tickets then yes absolutely. If you have it still shouldnt be a problem, you have waited and are on the database.

Never (in best Churchill impression) have so many Saints fans gathered in one stadium - it should be an awesome atmosphere.
niceandfriendly Posted 9 March, 2010 Posted 9 March, 2010 Quick question hopefully not been asked already, but can season ticket holders who've already purchased a ticket when it was STs only buy another ticket when it goes on database sale tomorrow? Yes definitely.
iansums Posted 9 March, 2010 Posted 9 March, 2010 Good to hear NC is actively trying to get more seats. Seems totally irrational and daft that we can't get more when seats are going spare...completely stupid. Totally agree. It will be absolutely ridiculous if no more seats are made available.
jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 9 March, 2010 Posted 9 March, 2010 The ridiculous thing is that Carlisle have their tickets on unrestricted general sale so there is nothing stopping saints fans getting hold of there tickets. so if it is down to "segregation" as to the reason why they wont give us more tickets then why let carlisle sell their tickets to any tom **** or harry? I know why carlisle have done it as otherwise they would have only about 10k attending.
trousers Posted 9 March, 2010 Posted 9 March, 2010 Good to hear NC is actively trying to get more seats. Seems totally irrational and daft that we can't get more when seats are going spare...completely stupid. Does anyone know what the segregation issues actually are? Are wembley saying they only have concourse barriers at the half way point rather than having flexible barrier points or could it be something daft like not hiring enough stewards? If it's the latter then perhaps Cortese could offer to pay for extra stewards?
jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 9 March, 2010 Posted 9 March, 2010 What also is annoying is that the Football league insisted all clubs have to take compeitition seriously and field strongest team possible. Saints have done this all along with good attendances in each round but now some fans will miss out on final with 20k seats empty. Perhaps FL are not taking the competition seriously !!
trousers Posted 9 March, 2010 Posted 9 March, 2010 But what is the actual problem? Wembley has a concentric concourse so how difficult can it be to erect temporary barriers at the appropriate points? (first person to mention 'elf 'n' safety gets a slap ;-) ) Isn't this simply a case of Wembley and/or The Football League trotting out the 'segregation' arguement to get them out of having to make late rearrangements depending on which teams make the final. Lowest common denominator and all that. It can only be a question of cost. Surely?
RedAndWhite91 Posted 9 March, 2010 Posted 9 March, 2010 25,000 empty seats are required to keep apart fierce rivals Southampton and Carlisle, with their notorious and bloody history spanning decades, involving numerous battles and widespread media attention. Duh. But seriously, it's ridiculous. That's a third of the stadium FFS. Just because the FL are too scared to fork out extra funds, they are sacrificing what could be a near full house and a great advert for the cup many consider to be a joke trophy.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 9 March, 2010 Posted 9 March, 2010 How many have we sold? why the big fuss.....doubt we will sell our allocation
thorpie the sinner Posted 9 March, 2010 Posted 9 March, 2010 How many have we sold? why the big fuss.....doubt we will sell our allocation 4000 left to go as of Monday I believe
Glasgow_Saint Posted 9 March, 2010 Posted 9 March, 2010 4000 left to go as of Monday I believe Is that right? Maybe we will sell our allocation then. I stand corrected.

No real need to know the songs, just tell them to sing "Pompey" frequently and they will soon fit in.

But it can't be cost can it? If we were to sell an additional 7k tickets at an average of £45 that would be £315,000, easily enough to cover any potential costs and then some. Plus the additional prestige it would bring to the competition having a bigger crowd. Think it's more to do with the usual problem with footballing authorities - p**s poor levels of organisation.

Lowest common denominator and all that. It can only be a question of cost. Surely? More to do with the way it was built, I would have thought. The JPT (small club, big club ratios) with all due respect, wouldn't have been taken into account when concourses/segregation was being discussed and finalized. England games where the only segregation required is 2 or 3 block section for away fans and the FA Cup semi-finals; final; League Cup final; Play-off finals and Champions League finals, all of which would have tickets split down the middle with 30-35,000 allocations for each team. All I can say is that it is a good job that Leeds didn't make the final because otherwise we wouldn't have got more than 35,000 and there would already be many people ****ed off!

Well about 15k seats are club wembley which have already had a large up take so if all were to sell out, ie Carlisle 26k, Saints 44k and Club Wembley 10K - thats 85k - also there is a quantity of football league "commercial interests" tickets for JPT, other sponsors etc. so expect 85k-88k - there won't be 25k empty seats for segregation!!!
