Great to have Hammond back. Those who had raised one or two questions as to whether we were getting the best out of him only had to see his first half on Saturday and then as he faded in the second half from the lack of recent matches because of injury, we also faded as a team. No coincidence there. He is very important to us as is Connolly if we can get him back.

On paper that team should rip anyone to shreds. Antonio must be knackered so i agree with leaving him out, and Papa can really change the game if we're struggling.

 

However i reckon Seaborne will start in place of Jaidi, dont think he's fit enough for another important game

i actually rate WT quite highly at right back these days. Then again ive yet to see Otsemebor play so i cant judge who is better.

 

FWIW i agree with u though, i dont think AP particularly likes Thomas at RB (although it seems he is now above James in the pecking order), so i do expect Otsemebor to start

I think he is a good defender but his distribution and crossing not good for a fullback

Yep that is my expectation as well.

 

Spoke to someone on Thursday and asked if Connolly had major injury issues. He says, as we know, his groins are shot away. He was not training at that time so I think we can count him out for the present

Steady on, you will be peed off but you will not be able to say if you were right or wrong until after the game.

I personally think Seaborne looks just as good as Jaidi, just a little more composed with his passing.

maybe...but IF seaborne plays he would have to justify it with a proper good game...jaidi was superb on sat...and I think to think we would play our FORM players...

Seasborne is a natural left footer so brings balance to the side and cover when Harding breaks forward. He can also pass. For that reason I think he will get the shout ahead of Jaidi who, as you say, has done nothing really wrong in the last 2 matches

Norwich will be tough and I think we will play 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 as opposed to 4-4-2. My team would be:

 

Davis

Ostemobor - Fonte - Jaidi (Seabourne if Jaidi not fit) - Harding

Waigo - Puncheon - Hammond - Morgan - Lallana

Lambert

 

Subs: Bart, Perry, James, Mills, Wotton, Barnard, Antonio

That to me is the major issue with the team now, as he fought to buy him, he must play him, but 442 or 451 formation? I think he will be ruthless and drop MS as he has not scored or had many assists lately, so we need goals and wins now, 442 with Antonio right wing for me. His run to set up Adam on Sat was superb, strength, control, skill, great cross, the lot; if we can get that out of him consistently we have a real asset.

With four games in 10 days he needs to set out his best team now, and stick to it, unless injuries or suspensions dictate otherwise. He has two players for each position now so not really any excuses over the next 18 games.

y drop thomas? the guy was a rock on sat and has been recently. dont swallow this good defender but no good at right back rubbish. He played right back sat n did a good a job as any at back. So if we have some1 who can do better only then should he be dropped. On showings so far, hes the best pick. puncheon has to play, where n how is pardew's question.

I dont think AP agrees with you as Thomas has hardly started a League game all season

This game could be the make or break of our season, get a good result, by that I mean a draw would be a good result we could go on a run, defeat and it could go the other way.
