yarb101 Posted 16 February, 2010 Share Posted 16 February, 2010 "After the South Coast Derby on the 13th February 2010, Storrie was shaken up after a horrifying ordeal where a Southampton fan waved a five pound note in his face, the poor dear was terrified having never seen such a large sum of money. In March 2010 Storrie will oversee the winding up of Portsmouth FC and will personally enourage its fans to support Southampton instead. However Southampton chairman Nicola Cortese has vowed to turn these fans away, when asked for a reason he siad that Southampton Owner and legitimate billionaire "didn't want the smell of stale urine and dead fish lingering in the stadium." Somebody is having fun on Storrie's Wikipedia entry under the Portsmouth section of the article!!

tonibell Posted 16 February, 2010 Share Posted 16 February, 2010 He really is a piece of work isn't he? Not your responsibility Peter for the club - so someone else agreed the £70k per week for Utaka? The one you love?? The one that you still draw a £100k per month salary from? Enjoy Parkhurst. W*nker. for_heaven's_Saint Posted 16 February, 2010 Share Posted 16 February, 2010 I seriously doubt he or his wife are really that shaken up by having a few notes waved at them. If they had a kid with them, it perhaps may have been different. But these are two people living the high life as the company he's supposed to work for crumbles. It should be the pompey fans waving money in front of him and his wife really, but most of them are too short sighted to realise the damage he's doing to their club. stardustonmyfeet Posted 17 February, 2010 Share Posted 17 February, 2010 Storrie was arrested on 28 November 2007 — along with Harry Redknapp, Mandaric, agent Willie McKay and former Portsmouth player Amdy Faye — over allegations of corruption.[9][12] Charges over tax evasion were brought against him on 4 November, 2009. On the 13th february 2010 after an FA Cup match against South Coast rivals Southampton, he had some money waved in his face by some Southampton fans as he left St Mary's Stadium. The poor dear was terrified having never seen such a large sum of money that wasn't inside a brown paper envelope. Corrected article on wikipedia. Tac-tics Posted 18 February, 2010 Share Posted 18 February, 2010 I met Storrie yesterday after a kick around in Hayling Park. He was walking his two dogs with two grandchildren. I congratulated him with the win and apologised on the fact he claimed he was "attacked" which he said his wife was terrified. I then went on to ask how things are looking for the club, in which I was amazed to the fact he just rasied a glimp smile and said "we'll have to see". He then shook my hand and told me how he heard there was one of us down here! I wished him luck with the club in which he replied "thanks,we could do with it". All around 5pm. People like you are an embarrassment to the club. You should have heckled him and asked if he'd finished crying over a few pieces of paper being waved in his face. Chez Posted 18 February, 2010 Share Posted 18 February, 2010 I wonder how Mrs Tells Storries is this morning? Do you think she will scarred for life having seen a man wave ten pound notes under her husbands nose? What a nightmare experience. That's the kind of thing that makes you consider giving up a £1.3m a year job, isn't it? Never fear though, he managed to overcame the evil Southampton people and now he is free to fight the great fight to ensure the Worlds Greatest FansTM have the club they deserve to support today, tomorrow and for the rest of their lives. I need a hero. Holding on for a hero till the end of the night. He's got to be strong, he got to bright, he's got to pay tax on his earnings. I need a hero. Toomer Posted 18 February, 2010 Share Posted 18 February, 2010 (edited) Can't condone what happened if true, but what the hell was the idiot doing leaving the ground when there was still hundreds of Saints fans around. Storrie teller you have to shoulder some of the blame for putting you and your wife in that position in the first place, not just my opinion but that of a number of Poopy fans I come in contact with during the working week. Why congratulate him for the victory, they fielded a side that contained a large proportion of players who should not have been allowed to play. Because I live down in skatesmouth, I'm not fickle, they won. From what I have seen we re the bigger club and better fans, I'm happy with that. He has also done alot of work for my club Hayling United with fundraisers as well as helping out. I know he sprouts ****e, however I wont bring the man down while walking his dogs with his grand-children.

And although he might have done good things for your club Hayling United, just make sure that he has nothing at all to do with the financial side of things. His record with running Portsmouth doesn't exactly inspire confidence in his abilities, although Hayling United might be more the level that is within his capabilities.
