Still looking for a decent watch to wear, for everyday use.

Pictures would be good as I am still in the chair until xmas.

FAO Jillsaint: Raymond Weil are dress watches and are only splash/weatherproof, they are not waterproof. It says on the back that they are waterproff to 5Atm which is basically the bottom of your bath.

I'm a fan of radio-controlled watches as they keep perfect time and never need adjusting.

I also have much-treasured 30-year old Omega clockwork job which I have regularly serviced and is as good as new.

My friendly local watch repairer hates radio-controlled watches and refuses to touch them.

Working for a chemical company, there are certain areas on our plant where we cannot take anything that has a battery (watches, phones etc) due to risk of sparks so we are always on the lookout for reliable clockwork watches.

I wear one of these. It's a quality all round watch and nice and chunky. It seems to be indestructible (no matter what I do to it!), it's automatic and very waterproof (to 200m). Only cost me £150 so good value as well.
