According to the chap doing the blow-by-blows on the Guardian site, Perry was at fault for their critical second goal. Is this true ?

Yes quite possibly. To be honest I can't recall their goals, I think I've blanked them permanently from my memory.

If he was, fair enough, he was still class today.

Am very proud today of the players, fans, manager and of course the owner. It was a great game and showed to the uk how things have changed here. In contrast to the Man Utd beating last year things are the total opposite.

We are a TEAM on the up, we played better then they did today. It hurts to lose but it is just a game, one that will be forgotten soon.

As their loan players vanish into the distance when the season ends, when James and Grant leave in the summer and they start life in CCC with financial uncertainty they will fade away. This was their last big day out for a long long time.

Normal service will resume.

+1 well said mate!

For me, the measure of our club was that - at a guess - 29,000 people were still in the stadium until the final whistle.

Going 2-1 down was a bad enough. But even at 4-1 down, virtually everyone stayed to applaud our team off the pitch.

I thought our players gave everything today.

But to see our fans stay in those sort of numbers to the very end was simply incredible. That was the thing that brought tears to my eyes.

I feel proud and privileged to be a Saints supporter.

God bless you all!

I'm not sure where you were sat mate but that simply isn't true. I was aghast at the number of fans who upped and left after the fourth. Still, I guess they were trying to make it back to the pubs prior to the 2:30pm lock ins; probably a wise move onfreflection.

I was sat on the halfway line in the corporate area.

Ok, I didn't count. But I think the number (or %) of folk leaving was LESS not MORE than I've seen at 1-0 up or down with 2 mins to go.

ignoring the corporate area, there was a significant amount of saints upping and leaving after the fourth went in.

Well although a few did, I also though alot of fans still stayed to the end and clapped our team off for the effort they put in.

Nope, just completely bored with your obsessive baiting.

How many times have you been this season ? I live ABROAD, not "currently Maidstone" but am still willing to bet I have been more than you.

Were you there today ? No of course not, your opinion is formed from nice pretty wide-anlge shots courtesy of ITV which as many on here have pointed out, dont show the whole picture. I havent even criticised the performance particularly, but still you need to bring meaning to your pathetic life by getting a rise out of me.

I have never tried to dress up my opinion as anything but an emoitional reaction to the result and what others have posted. As time has gone on, I have worked out for myself who posts realistic descriptions of events compared to wishy-washy b*ll*cks with no ambition and plenty of shrugging of shoulders like you write.

You lecture about my negativity, well its my opinion. If you dont like it, dont read it. I come on here and give my reaction to events at SFC, not to zero in on posters who I like to wind-up and sneer at their posts - like you do.

Give yourself a break from being a complete tit every day of your life.

So Mods, I get infraction points for a tame dig at our resident Emo but he calls me a "TIT" and that is okay is it? Perhaps I should just call him names rather than pick up on his inane negativity and that would be okay? To quote dear departed Um Pahars, you couldn't make it up.

You came on here with the sole intent yesterday of playing the man and not the ball, imo. Maybe that is why you got the points.

I made a series of footballing comments giving my opinion (not particularly negative either) and you responded with a wind-up in each case. Be a man and take your points on the chin - like the rest of us have to.
