forever a red and white Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 Obviously a massive game tomorrow but have a few requests. A) not to play that childish OWTSGMI sound track before kick off. Put on some music to get fans in the mood e.g. Fatboy Slim right here right now. fratellies cheslea dagger etc etc B) if we go a couple down we have to keep showing our support for the players and the manager. Show them that we are behind them 100% no matter what. A win may seem very unlikely but the mosre supportive we are the better chance we have and we gotta keep large away following quiet. Can;t bloody wait. Watch some vids to get in the mood, remind urself wehy u love this club, Dug out the Liebheer one: Oakley goal and Crouch pen COYR
Um Bongo Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 Or no music at all. Let us sing and here us. Fed up of them turning the music up to drown us out before kick off.

Window Cleaner Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1964143,00.html does that mean they'll be putting them on the Pompey seats as well? I'd have thought a bottle of Dettol was more apt for those *****
slickmick Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 Or no music at all. Let us sing and here us. Fed up of them turning the music up to drown us out before kick off. Me too.
Barry the Badger Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 Somebody should rearrange the red and white cards so when everybody holds them up it spells out 'YOU SKATE B*STARDS' along the kingsland.
Saint_clark Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 *sigh* how 'gay'. It is pretty embarrassing. Why can't they put a scarf on every seat? That would be better, the Northam looked immense with just a hundred or so scarves being held up near full time on Tuesday.
Bartosz Bialkowski Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 NO ****ING MUSIC!!!!! Want music goto a pop concert

Well I doubt that Pompey would accept 28000 scarves at 3.99 £ each being take out of the gate receipts before they get their share.A bit of card costs nothing

Surely they have no say on the match day entertainment as well, as that is taken out of gate receipts.
Saint_clark Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 NO ****ING MUSIC!!!!! Want music goto a pop concert I don't mind music pre-match, half time etc. because most of the time it is pretty silent except for about 15 minutes before kick off. However what annoys me is that just before kick off; Music starts. Fans start chanting. Music is turned up louder to drown them out. Why???
Window Cleaner Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 Who gives a sh*t. Surely they have no say on the match day entertainment as well, as that is taken out of gate receipts. Still we wouldn't want them whining to the High Court that we'd swindled them out of their fair share would we.
Saint_clark Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 Still we wouldn't want them whining to the High Court that we'd swindled them out of their fair share would we. Let them try, all they've been doing throughout the whole scenario is blame someone else.

Saint_clark Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 Bad Singing?? Perhaps our new owner is a mélomane. So they play Girls Aloud and Robbie Williams over the top of us?
Barry the Badger Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 I don't mind music pre-match, half time etc. because most of the time it is pretty silent except for about 15 minutes before kick off. However what annoys me is that just before kick off; Music starts. Fans start chanting. Music is turned up louder to drown them out. Why??? Absolutely. What is going to get the players more fired up? Coming out to a chant of 'come on you reds' at top volume, or coming out to some sh*tty pretend tension building pop song ********.
Window Cleaner Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 So they play Girls Aloud and Robbie Williams over the top of us? No accounting for taste;) Some doohicky in the front office probably thinks it's what fans like to hear. Even at a great club like ours there's always a couple of idiots somewhere or other, looks like ours choose the music and when to play it.
100%Red&White Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 Shout loud tomorrow. If we go a goal down shout louder. Gee everyone up around you, get any slackers involved.
red&white56 Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 Shout loud tomorrow. If we go a goal down shout louder. Gee everyone up around you, get any slackers involved. Totally agree - this is not about a football match - it's about a passion !! Unfortunately I'm in the Chapel and until you get there you've no idea how the crowd will react but I'm up for it.
CalshotSpit Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 The 'When the saints Go Marching In' ****e played before the MK Dons game was as patronising as the clown who comes on the pitch before the game with his banal and simplistic babble. Pay 25 quid for a ticket and be spoken to like a bunch of kindergarten nippers. Let's have something a bit less insulting to our collective intelligence.
Channon's Sideburns Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 Well...I have asked them to play 'Taxman'... ;-)
nathan Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 I will be in the Chapel but will be singing til I've got no voice left tomorrow. I wish it was scarves instead of cards. Looked awesome on Tuesday with all the scarves held up.
Amesbury Saint Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 Or no music at all. Let us sing and here us. Fed up of them turning the music up to drown us out before kick off. agreed
Golden Balls Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 As good as the "Pay up pompey" song is....please don't sing it. I just sounds too much like "play up..." Stick to "wind up..." or "***** off..."
Dog Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 I would like to hear 'money, money, money' by ABBA.
saintkiptanui Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 If anyone sings Barmy army I will text the steward racist line and get you thrown out you disgusting gimps.
SFC Forever Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 Totally agree - this is not about a football match - it's about a passion !! Unfortunately I'm in the Chapel and until you get there you've no idea how the crowd will react but I'm up for it. I am in the chapel and have left the kids at home so hope some others have done similar. If the crowd is anything like Tuesday then we will be fine.
Um Bongo Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 If anyone sings Barmy army I will text the steward racist line and get you thrown out you disgusting gimps. Alan Pardews Red & White Army WE HATE POMPEY Alan Pardews Red & White Army WE HATE POMPEY and repeat etc.
Legod Third Coming Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 Well...I have asked them to play 'Taxman'... ;-) Brilliant.
saintkiptanui Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 Alan Pardews Red & White Army WE HATE POMPEY Alan Pardews Red & White Army WE HATE POMPEY and repeat etc.Yes, that is right, no barmy cricket sh&t.
alehouseboys Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 There's gotta be no let up and just constant noise to keep the intensity, no nice sing-alongs tomorrow just raw vitriolic support. I trust the OB will be holding back their trains like they did with ours down there. I don't expect to see a full away end until just before halftime. Only fair.
SW11_Saint Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 But if we win, let's drown them out with "Amarillo" while their fans are locked in!!
SW11_Saint Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 By they way, there was a distiinct lack of "Oh when the Saints" at the MK Dons game.. not sure why? Need to sing that tomorrow - again, and again, and again...
docker-p Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1964143,00.html What a load of b 0llox. Whoever's idea this was needs to be taken out and flogged. This is a derby match against Portsmyth, not a bloody girl guides jamboree.

Still, a lot better than Mike Osman screaming like a banshee. The Alan Ball memorial probably the most cringing pre match delivery ever experienced.
hamster Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 How about a £ sign on each card Marker pens, and pass them on....
RedArmy Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 Oh ffs. Who's idea was the cards sh1t? We're gonna look like pr1cks.
hamster Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 All the newbies in the Itchan North do know the words to 'Knees up Mother Brown' don't they? Hope so, as it will be a great 'shut up' song over them godawful 'chimes'. Under the table you must go, EI EI EIO
Channon's Sideburns Posted 12 February, 2010 Posted 12 February, 2010 Another song for tomorrow. Stealers Wheel - Stuck in the Middle with You A song for Storrie.... 'Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right...here i am, stuck in the boardroom with you'
