OldNick Posted 26 February, 2010 Posted 26 February, 2010 Tonite 730 at Riverside Park, DP says he might be late so start without him, 2 laps around the park then 5 widths of the river avoiding the Swans and shopping trolleys then run up toward bitterne triangle through St Denys by the station into Bevois Valley, take a couple of hits and he'll meet you back at the park I turned up on a fact finding mission, they looked rather useful, I think we had better man mark the shopping trolley as it looked better on its feet than the rest of that lot.
SaintDonkey Posted 26 February, 2010 Posted 26 February, 2010 I have 1 rule for all my defenders. It is very simple, as most centre backs have headed the ball and opponents forwards too many times. Rule 1 if it has an away shirt on kick it, if it still is moving do it again until it has stopped doing so. Now that's what every team needs - clear instructions from the gaffer. I shall start travelling to work on the tube, perfect training for kicking people
dubai_phil Posted 26 February, 2010 Posted 26 February, 2010 (edited) When is the awy team training? Safa Park Sunday 6pm. http://www.gearthhacks.com/dlfile25132/Safa-Park,-Dubai.htm Take the 3rd Interchange off Sheikh Zayed Road and the car park is the very first exit on the left on Al Hadiqa Street HTH Edited 26 February, 2010 by dubai_phil
dubai_phil Posted 26 February, 2010 Posted 26 February, 2010 The sex ban is only dished out to the team, as the manager I am of course not banned. Phil will of course have the ban imposed on him...not due to rules but looks As the sad old git will be away from the young sprightly GF for a week, I can assure you that DP wil be incapable of walking out for the kick about let alone worrying about sex on the night
dubai_phil Posted 26 February, 2010 Posted 26 February, 2010 On a serious note anyone got any tips on getting match fit? I'm in a reasonable shape for a *cough* 39 year old (10k in about 50 minutes) but the stop start of a football match is something else entirely. OK so on a serious note. We all noticed last year that the pitch was VERY different from anything that we had played upon before (especially in Salisbury & District League Div 7) The best description was that it was like one of Mrs H's failed Sponge cakes that had been toasted under a grill. IF you Sky TV subscription has BBC Lifestyle then I recommend watching out for the many repeats of The Daily Cooks Challenge when they will show you how to make a sponge for 50p. Failing that get an old mattress off the bed onto the floor and aim to spend 45 minutes running on the spot. this has two important benefits - 1) The mattress won't be on the bed so you'll find it easier to comply with the No Sex before a big game tactic and 2) If you can last more than 5 minutes you SHOULD get through the required 30 minutes at SMS. Obviously that 30min number is important as it then brings the rolling substitute plan back into play as players "do a Drojbaj"

dubai_phil Posted 26 February, 2010 Posted 26 February, 2010 Has nickh passed the SWF fit and proper person test? Well, don't think even his missus would call him fit.......
DrZuess1979 the 2nd Posted 26 February, 2010 Posted 26 February, 2010 Safa Park Sunday 6pm. http://www.gearthhacks.com/dlfile25132/Safa-Park,-Dubai.htm Take the 3rd Interchange off Sheikh Zayed Road and the car park is the very first exit on the left on Al Hadiqa Street HTH First class transport I hope boss
dubai_phil Posted 27 February, 2010 Posted 27 February, 2010 First class transport I hope boss Yep, you go ahead and book it and buy the ticket. I've had a phone call and an email from an interested party that wants to sponsor all of our costs. Everything should be sorted in the next 48 hours, you just make sure you get the 8:30pm overnight flight tonight and we're a goer oops goner
INFLUENCED.COM Posted 27 February, 2010 Posted 27 February, 2010 I've had a phone call and an email from an interested party that wants to sponsor all of our costs Jobsite ? as they are aware there will probably be more in attendance at SMS for that game than that of their current team sponsored
OldNick Posted 27 February, 2010 Posted 27 February, 2010 Has nickh passed the SWF fit and proper person test? Yet another who will be targetted in my extensive teamtalk. My centre halves are not very accurate, and so I might say take the right leg but they will almost certainly miss and take your left. Not following the managers instructions but I suppose that will be ok.
OldNick Posted 27 February, 2010 Posted 27 February, 2010 Well, don't think even his missus would call him fit....... No, but drop dead gorgeous.

dubai_phil Posted 27 February, 2010 Posted 27 February, 2010 PMSL& ROFLing like mad here! Back in October I entered a competition. Just found out we won it. 10 Return Business Class flights anywhere on the BA Network to be used this year. Am utterly shocked we beat off 600 other companies to win it. Now all I have to do is work out how to have a business meeting in Rio or possibly The Bahamas a day or two after the game. Nicky boy - when up against luck like this you may as well just stay at home mate The only down side is that I already paid for my JPT ticket in Cattle Class on Emirates, ho hum! Feck me, I thought Yesterday was a ripper but this! Quick someone buy me a lottery ticket for tonight - we'll go half's

I thought there may have been something dodgy in Eric's big plan to get the Away team sponsored by Old Speckled Hen. He hasnt been around for a few days, think I was a bit slow there. Meanwhile, anyone got some Superglue? we seem to have sprung a bit of a leak down here. In fact, right now it's a toss up between what leaks the most - our Aqaurium or Nottarf Krap http://business.maktoob.com/20090000439946/Leak_at_Dubai_Aquarium_floods_mall/Article.htm?utm_campaign=Day-Newsletter&utm_medium=Main-News1&utm_source=Day-Newsletter&utm_content=

OldNick Posted 28 February, 2010 Posted 28 February, 2010 I have had a message from the FA that I have passed the FAPPT test. I was told by a lot of his team that Phil talked a load of FAPPT
dubai_phil Posted 28 February, 2010 Posted 28 February, 2010 I have had a message from the FA that I have passed the FAPPT test. I was told by a lot of his team that Phil talked a load of FAPPT I'm gutted at the moment. My #2 had agreed to sign up and play as an emergancy sub under disguise. He even invited me to dinner to coach me on tactics. And NOW because of work I can't fecking make it. How ANNOYING is THAT  FFS he had even asked me where I felt we were weak and whether we needed Baresi or Desailly to come across to help out in midfiled. I am gutted, but apparently Paulo Di Canio is even MORE upset. Seems the ONLY reason he wanted to do that for me was he had heard I a legend in World Sport and was the tactical guru of World Football and he wanted to spend time learning from me. Hell, the guys had even agreed to the You Tube Interviews. Ahh Krap, will just have to rely on the Boysh who, to be honest, will have no problems whupping your ass even without the superstars, but looks like I just lost a lolage moment. Bollix

(Of course it helps that Pelé is pushing 70 these days )that's my boy, yo'll fit right in with our team. They are a bunch of fairies who say very little, except the ones who were taken from us and now added to Granty's team. No chance of them getting a revenge. To be fair 1 of them is struggling with his conscience whether to celebrate if he scores. Dont worry James nobody celebrates own goals. Edited 3 March, 2010 by OldNick

forever a red and white Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 steve should have payment by 2moro, having internet troubles atm
stevegrant Posted 4 March, 2010 Author Posted 4 March, 2010 No worries - still a lot of payments outstanding, although quite a few of those have emailed to say they've sent the payment so probably just a case of waiting for them to clear.
Danny Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 I'll pay tonight, although to be fair I've forgotten to do so for the last 5 consecutive nights.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Sh!t, better pay today hadn't I.. Being young, ignorant and clueless regarding banks and stuff, do I just go to the bank and ask to pay the money into the given saints web account?

dubai_phil Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Aed 283.82 has paypal'd itself across. Took me ages to remember how to use it! Still with the pound collapsing I've saved myself the cost of a pint
magnet Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Paid by bank transfer, should be in the Saintsweb account tomorrow :-)
Lets B Avenue Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 Phil. Just to let you know Hampshire are playing Yorkshire in a 4-day match, Monday to Thursday that week. If you are getting over in time, it could provide a valuable team bonding exercise and get us supporters well oiled for the evening ahead.

What a fantastic idea for a **** up , sorry I mean team building experience.
Minty Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 OK, if anyone else is interested in playing, now's your chance. I'm having to pull out, so if someone wants to come in and replace me outright, then go for it, contact me, or Steve via the email in the original post.
dubai_phil Posted 4 March, 2010 Posted 4 March, 2010 What a fantastic idea for a **** up , sorry I mean team building experience. That becomes a LONG day as we'll have to get on the golf course at about 6:30 if we're to make the start of the Cricket.... But as we are Highly Tuned Athletes should be a piece of cake. But thanks for the Heads Up. Thanks to my ludicrous powers of Bullsh1t and winning a bunch of free BA tickets I can come in early for at least one day at cricket for "Business Meetings" More on this later. Main problem I have at the moment is outsourcing the whole You Tube Video joke, causing problems as my mates expect too much beer for it

Shame you're in the Home Team, my inside man could have got Paulo Maldini in as cover. Still I'm sure whoever comes in to replace you will be much better. (Than Paulo of course)

B Rabbit Posted 5 March, 2010 Posted 5 March, 2010 Sorry chaps, unavoidable I'm afraid. Lee Chamberlain might be interested.... Does he need to get hold of you or steve g... Or both!?
ericofarabia Posted 5 March, 2010 Posted 5 March, 2010 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1984358,00.html I know Pulis is probably below the standard you require, but just in case nobody else turns up
Minty Posted 5 March, 2010 Posted 5 March, 2010 Bearing in mind I've already paid, then I reckon it should be my decision, and clearly Pulis is not up to my standard, so he won't be getting a look in! Robsk/Rabbit, put them in touch with me and I'll liaise with Mr Grant, seeing as I've already paid, whoever wants in will need to pay me ideally.
