Is the pitch going to be watered? Only have metal studs and trainers so hoping it'll be soft enough for proper studs?
I woud suggest you have studs, training shoes may be ok for the kick around pre matchbut on the night proper boots with studs.

Most of my players will have leather studs with the laces that tie around the ankles

Julian should be up there with those names I can assure you. You'll see Thursday why it was a good idea to move me away from our own penalty box :-)

I can't believe Magnet's already forgotten our triumphant run as Gecko Saints and then TSF Owen Hargreaves First XI at Goals in his honours... we won the Conference AND League One on Tuesdays.

 

Maybe we only won the weeks he wasn't there, I can't remember now.

Just played 5-a-side with a 7pm kick off, I bloody hope it's not this hot thursday, it was awful! If it is, ice baths all round at half time!

"We" as in the TSF actual First team did, but Magnet wasn't in that team, he was playing for the Gecko-formed team. I was playing in both.

 

And tbf I had to pull out last week cos I was off work sick. It's the rules, no "school" no footy. :D

There were more Heckler & Koch's around me than Influenced normally gets Yellow Cards.

 

Still, on the bright side I've not been lonely these last few days, although the Special Branch boys seemed reluctant to give me a lift home from the pub after Lady Winwoods Maggot on Sunday.

 

Still, the weather is turning back to the real world and the revenge is booked and paid for on Nickh and the mind turns now to the big event.

 

Cannot wait, and glad to see the players are like kids just before Christmas Eve.

 

Hope they've got enough stewards to cope with the sell out crowd.

I was there from the start with teh OH/Geckos, and the latecomers (i.e. Rabbit Stew) only pitched up when the TSF Championship team stopped playing.

I've just noticed that from last years programme and details supplied this year that Influenced.com has grown 5 inches and has lost well over a stone.

 

I just like to congratulate him on the fitness regime and growth spurt!

Au contraire,au contraire, we're cushty in our camp.

My captain will be champing at the bit to get a foot in.....your midriff after your underhand comments and now you are trying to put a wedge between manager and captain. I will let him take off the kid gloves.

I have ordered the butcher to throw in some large raw steaks into our changing room to keep my lions ready.

Phil is worried about the situation as he has arranged a meet up in Salisbury tonight. you may read about it tomorrow in the Echo

Right, I am coming. Permission from the boss to stay out past 9, as long as all my homework is done.

 

Who's getting the first round in? Perhaps the losing team should get the bill for the first round, who's up for that idea? Give you all something to play for.

You might have to wait until late into the evening though ss, there will be a lot of peopl there on Thursday who will not see me put my hand in my pocket. I have been asked to present the trophy actually, as a sort of 'Guest of Honour'. Had to turn them down though, I'm not into all this attention seeking mullarkey to be honest. Like to keep my head down and all that, if you know what i mean?
