OldNick Posted 19 May, 2010 Posted 19 May, 2010 Home team Captain I have left it to a week beforehand to make my final choice. After much deliberation and thought on this matter, I have decided to make Influenced.com our captain. His leadership, will to win and endeavour is what every manager needs. I am sure anyone who played with him last season will endorse my choice. He also has the worst disaplinary record in Saintsweb forum match history and so he deserves the armband

We have a team of Natural Born Leaders Oh and Granty of course, it IS his ball we're playing with after all
Lets B Avenue Posted 19 May, 2010 Posted 19 May, 2010 Oh and Granty of course, it IS his ball we're playing with after all I found one in my mums back garden last Sunday. No one from the sides playing next door has called for it, so feel free to use it instead of Steve's.
OldNick Posted 19 May, 2010 Posted 19 May, 2010 OK that's good news, he'll only last until the first throw in and woosh he'll be off and running I don't need to presume to pick a Captain. Any news of the flight? I can't see why you are worried about seeing a Subway ,they have them in most high streets in the UK
Robsk II Posted 19 May, 2010 Posted 19 May, 2010 After 3 months without running at all or kicking a ball, I went for a 2 mile run tonight. The foot seems.. mediocre. I hope no-one cares that I may not be able to run, tackle or kick properly. And by that I mean, more than usual.
lee_saint Posted 20 May, 2010 Posted 20 May, 2010 Join the club Rob, I may try and kick a ball over the weekend, although I've been out on my bike to get the ankle moving. What size these kits going to be? Being a medium I'm going to be dwarfed in XL!
JustMike Posted 20 May, 2010 Posted 20 May, 2010 thats ok Lee and Rob, you will be as good as I am when fully fit
Robsk II Posted 20 May, 2010 Posted 20 May, 2010 Tsk. I'm genuinely a bit worried about how it'll be when I put turning and my version of sprinting in the equation, but we'll see. Again, hope no-one minds if I just sort of stand about....
RedAndWhite91 Posted 20 May, 2010 Posted 20 May, 2010 I'll join that club, been out for a month and a half with a foot injury. Making my comeback to football on Friday night, and my fitness regime has been less than intense.
Robsk II Posted 20 May, 2010 Posted 20 May, 2010 I anyone playing really really old and unfit and crap? I'll mark them, please.
Foxy Posted 20 May, 2010 Posted 20 May, 2010 I anyone playing really really old and unfit and crap? I'll mark them, please. I'll be there )
OldNick Posted 20 May, 2010 Posted 20 May, 2010 great to see stepping out on the hallowed turf has really got you all dedicated
JustMike Posted 20 May, 2010 Posted 20 May, 2010 I anyone playing really really old and unfit and crap? I'll mark them, please. yes, me! But i am on your team
dubai_phil Posted 20 May, 2010 Posted 20 May, 2010 I think you are getting confused with Hamster Lol I have no fears of my captains conduct,I think your team should have though Lol This time next week it will crank up. Any news of the flight? I can't see why you are worried about seeing a Subway ,they have them in most high streets in the UK Yes It will be on a long metal tube thing made in Seattle with some bits on top and at the side It will pass into Iranian airspace, curving round across Iraq and up into Turkey. If we take the northern route we will pass close to Crimea, if southerly then we will be rising to around 38,000 feet as we pass over Romania and in into Germany. We will start our descent as we cross trhe CHannel on the Dutch Belgian border before going round in pretty circles over Esssex. Flying time will be around 7 hours 20 minutes and it will be a Boeing 777-300, quite possibly the ER version which gives a greater cargo capacity. The Entertainment system will offer over 200 channels. The seating will be in a 3-4-3 formation (unlike our team) An early lunch will be served about 1.5 hours out of Dubai comprising 4 courses and will have those 37.5cc bottles of Wine to accompany it. The bar service will of course precede the meal service. I will of course be sitting in my own personal named seat in the forward apert of the economy class section, and as I am a celebrity, the Cabin Services Director will come and personally greet me and check for anything else she could do to make my flight more enjoyable. HTH OH, sorry you meant any news - yeah will be away Sat morning at this time not showing any problems - In The Boathouse about 7:30pm
OldNick Posted 20 May, 2010 Posted 20 May, 2010 the Cabin Services Director will come and personally greet me and check for anything else he could do to make my flight more enjoyable. HTH I do hope he doesn't ask you if you play golf, you will be landing before he can get away from looking at your photos. Terrible news re Salisbury city
dubai_phil Posted 20 May, 2010 Posted 20 May, 2010 nick, can't you have a word with your guys. I know we all need to focus and take the big match seriously, and I know that players afterparties are big events, but I think it is going a bit far now. I've just heard that Debenhams have had to employee Security Staff in their Cosmetics Department due to the increase in harrassment of their staff. Apparently a number of unfit overweight types have been going in and inviting the staff to our After Party with promises of a free Roast after dinner. It seems this has caused a number of complaints and TSW members are now banned. And before you moan, we know it must be the Home team under your direction, as the complaints were coming from the female members of staff. Apparently theyt are upset because THEY haven't been invited to the party. I'll pass by there in the week and make it up for oops to the young ladies .

bpsaint Posted 20 May, 2010 Posted 20 May, 2010 Steve, do you know what time spectators will be allowed to enter the ground and will entry be via reception or turnstiles?
Robsk II Posted 20 May, 2010 Posted 20 May, 2010 great to see stepping out on the hallowed turf has really got you all dedicated I'll be playing injured. That's dedication, boyo.

stevegrant Posted 21 May, 2010 Author Posted 21 May, 2010 Steve, do you know what time spectators will be allowed to enter the ground and will entry be via reception or turnstiles? From 6pm, via turnstile A (I think - will confirm that). Which reminds me, I'll need a volunteer to run the turnstile... don't need to collect any money this year, so it's just a case of pressing a button to let people through
dubai_phil Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 From 6pm, via turnstile A (I think - will confirm that). Which reminds me, I'll need a volunteer to run the turnstile... don't need to collect any money this year, so it's just a case of pressing a button to let people through That sounds a difficult task. Robsk II Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 You couldn't finish the job of properly could you, then I can have your 45 mins? I've already had one offer and turned it down. I'd listen to huge financial offers, of course, but otherwise, hell no.

REDARMY79 Posted 21 May, 2010 Posted 21 May, 2010 Whats the going rate for a program seller these days? A penny for every one sold so there could be potential for at least £1.50 in your pocket post match!
