dubai_phil Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 Oh I'm good.... Just managed to blag my way through a BA call centre and use the strike to rebook my freebie cannot change under any circumstances ticket. So now feel very chirpy and ready to fly with Emirates (Bad News Nickh - that means I should make it) Meanwhile, was the whole BA strike thing just a conspiracy between nikch & FF to try and STOP me getting back? Notice how the Strike dates were only anounced AFTER I had said when I would be coming back... Hmmm Wouldn't have made a difference, The Away Team just have so much more class, passion and motivation in every single position on the pitch
dubai_phil Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 Me and Andy might switch wings occasionally as a tactical masterstroke .....so that i can smash the sh1t out of you down the flank...and score =) Be careful though, your manager may decide to play you up the middle.
JustMike Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 Me and Andy might switch wings occasionally as a tactical masterstroke .....so that i can smash the sh1t out of you down the flank...and score =) i have forseen this and i intent to couter it by removing your hairband, at which time your locks will blind you, making you fall over the advertising boards.

Hmmm Wouldn't have made a difference, The Away Team just have so much more class, passion and motivation in every single position on the pitch That's good news, Im sure the away team can't wait to flick through 20000 photos of you on a golf course, or dancing at a music event. I might e-mail FF and get him to make sure you get an internal as you come through customs. I will insist that he makes sure the officer has road diggers hands the size of frying pans. Lol I would not risk the BA run and stay with Emirates as they are bound to change theior minds or have booked you on a flight that stops about 20 times.
OldNick Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 I am sorry Nick. I was replying to an eloquent poster. I forgot you may read this. I will revert to words of one syllable just for you from this post forth sorry onwards Que?
ottery st mary Posted 14 May, 2010 Posted 14 May, 2010 The forum game looks as though this will be the first blood and guts contest seen at St Marys for a long time..........and that is just the two Managers squaring up with their clutch bags.....
Spades Posted 15 May, 2010 Posted 15 May, 2010 a few questions... 1) How much will it cost for spectators on the night? 2) How many tickets have been sold already? 3) Is there likely to be a big walk up on the night? 4) Is it likely to sell out? 5) Will the corners be open? 6) What time are doors opening? 7) What is the pre-match entertainment? All put forward by my increasingly senile old man

All put forward by my increasingly senile old man I think it cost a fiver last season. No tickets sold, as they are sale in the Pompey club shop and so will only take cash . Big walk up on the night.......well about 150 or less i might have added a nought by mistake there. Very likely the beer will sell out as my team get the pre match preparations going . The corners wont be open as Health and Safety will not allow it due to JustMikes passing and Foxy's shooting that are deemed too dangerous for people in those areas. The pre match entertainment is watching the away teams faces as Phil carries in 20 photo albums of his golfing days for them to look through. He will be asking questions after they have trawled through them to make sure all have been concentrating. Half time entertainment will be provided by the in fighting in the crowd as home and away fans have not been segregated.Tear gas had to be used last time to stop the fighting

OldNick Posted 16 May, 2010 Posted 16 May, 2010 haha thanks for making me a part of it I didn't make you Mike it was your outrageous attempts last match that did it. Anyway starting to look forward to meeting up again with the old and new faces

B Rabbit Posted 16 May, 2010 Posted 16 May, 2010 Wheres this PM steve promised us!? Steve has the organisational acumen of a blob of yoghurt.....
dubai_phil Posted 16 May, 2010 Posted 16 May, 2010 Steve has the organisational acumen of a blob of yoghurt..... Bollix, Steve is brilliant as last season shows us. Who can forget what a magnificent job he did In getting us the right Referee
OldNick Posted 16 May, 2010 Posted 16 May, 2010 In getting us the right RefereeI think Lord Triesman has got his info wrong and it was not the Spanish and Russians but the Sandeaters trying to sort the Forum match result
dubai_phil Posted 16 May, 2010 Posted 16 May, 2010 I think Lord Triesman has got his info wrong and it was not the Spanish and Russians but the Sandeaters trying to sort the Forum match result Oh infract infract! :butthead: Point of order, gambling and certain religions. Typical of nick, just like last year's forward line, a cheap shot and just off target. (Or was that the 80's bar for the after party after party extra time party?) TBF you were not that far off, for further info google Sharjah and One Day Cricket and Lord Condon. Which reminds me, did I tell you about the time I played cricket on a Test Match Venue? Turned the ball squarer than Warnie to Gatting I did.

bpsaint Posted 17 May, 2010 Posted 17 May, 2010 Are they providing us with the most recent kits this year Steve?
Spades Posted 17 May, 2010 Posted 17 May, 2010 please could someone forward the information on to me in a PM?
Arizona Posted 17 May, 2010 Posted 17 May, 2010 Got the email. Just need my shift swap at work to be confirmed. Getting nervous about it now. Should be alright.
Spades Posted 17 May, 2010 Posted 17 May, 2010 Nick... any plans for our team with regards what to wear during the warm up... do you want us to wear a particular colour? Or shall i go out and purchase one of the official training tops from SMS?
REDARMY79 Posted 17 May, 2010 Posted 17 May, 2010 Spades, youll be lucky I went to both shops today and they had nothing in apart from some crappy JPT T shirts. Was hoping to get a nice training top.
Delmary Posted 17 May, 2010 Posted 17 May, 2010 (edited) Nick... any plans for our team with regards what to wear during the warm up... do you want us to wear a particular colour? JustMike Posted 18 May, 2010 Posted 18 May, 2010 cheers Steve. May bring my own shorts just in case they only provide XXL would look funny though :-)
Scudamore Posted 18 May, 2010 Posted 18 May, 2010 Not sure it matters what you wear for the warm up. Will need a different colour top for warming up on the sidelines though of course. Running down the sidelines in a pea coat felt vaguely ridiculous last year.
OldNick Posted 18 May, 2010 Posted 18 May, 2010 Nick... any plans for our team with regards what to wear during the warm up... do you want us to wear a particular colour? Or shall i go out and purchase one of the official training tops from SMS? We have a relaxed attitude, but I rely on pride and so last year my side were exemplary. Just something you feel you can do some kick about in. I did not do all the pre match running a exercises Phils team did as with 30 mins to go its a bit late to try and get yourself fit. Stretching and a bit of gentle warming up, followed by who can kick the ball hardest in the general direction of the goal and row z. Frankly the manager has little input except having the authority of pushing into the front of the queue for sandwiches. I was fortunate to have a superb team of characters who gelled and made my life so easy. Fabulous to a man and I know the same can be said this season. A lot of my team are still there (although Steve knicked a couple, b'stard) and they will make the new players feel at home in our unit. There is some building work being done in our changing rooms, the showers mainly but Im reliably informed it still will be fantastic.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 18 May, 2010 Posted 18 May, 2010 What's the deal with shirt/shorts sizes? Is it just pot luck if it fits on the day?
JustMike Posted 18 May, 2010 Posted 18 May, 2010 The home team shall win..... .....the wooden spoon :smt111
B Rabbit Posted 18 May, 2010 Posted 18 May, 2010 .....the wooden spoon :smt111 I'll shove the spoon up your butt if that is the case....

Scudamore Posted 18 May, 2010 Posted 18 May, 2010 Mind you that had feck all to do with Sports Fashion, more to do with the fact that it was fecking freezing! Luckily this time i'll be playing first half. So instead of running down the line in the half i'm not playing i shall be nursing a beer! Also i've realised that i'm as fit as a butcher's dog (that is on it's last legs) so i'll keep my warm up restricted to pop shots at goal this time i think!
JustMike Posted 18 May, 2010 Posted 18 May, 2010 his legs are no bigger than the shaft of a wooden spoon, why are you looking at my legs?? :smt048

dubai_phil Posted 18 May, 2010 Posted 18 May, 2010 Just when you thought it was safe to go back into SMS.... Big Phil starts the long journey, sort of almost hear the menacing music from Jaws as he begins circling his prey. Off to a conference for next two days (wow WORK!) then with the 4th schedule change so far I now fly back Saturday and yes BOATHOUSE SALISBURY on Saturday night for the Courgettes Gig peeps. Bad news is the after party may be a little gentler than planned as I have to now rush back here with the Trophy before Interpol catch up with me on Friday lunchtime Trying to work out if I have room & time to bring the golf sticks.
JustMike Posted 18 May, 2010 Posted 18 May, 2010 because I couldn't see your c### haha, ok then, fair enough
dubai_phil Posted 18 May, 2010 Posted 18 May, 2010 Oh that was nice. The Subways have decided to pop down to my leaving on a jet plane party Friday night. Big respect to Ericofarabia for pulling that rabbit out of the hat. (I'll let him tell the story of his phone call on that subject :-) ) By the looks of it I should leave the gig just in time to get to the airport for the flight back. Meh, can sleep when I'm dead and all that. Subways & Courgettes in one weekend wow) Anyone want any Duty Frees or Autographs? (Oh and no, sorry all the tobacco allowance has been blagged as has the Grantybottle but still plenty of cheap booze allowance & smelly stuff available)
