Saint in Paradise Posted 12 February, 2010 Share Posted 12 February, 2010 (edited) ..... Decided that maybe, just maybe people might grab the wrong end of the stick. Have asked some Mods if it is ok to post it, don't want to cause legal problems. Edited 12 February, 2010 by Saint in Paradise

Saint in Paradise Posted 12 February, 2010 Author Share Posted 12 February, 2010 It's now on lots of websites so here it is anyway Oh how I would laugh if he was another Arab for our friends down the M27 Groom discovers new wife has a beard. http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/mp/6788...e-has-a-beard/ An Arab ambassador called off his wedding after discovering his wife-to-be, who had worn a face-covering veil whenever they met, was bearded and cross-eyed, the Gulf News reports. The envoy had only met the woman a few times, during which she had hidden her face behind a niqab, or face-covering veil, the paper said on Wednesday. After the marriage contract was signed, the ambassador attempted to kiss his bride-to-be, upon which he discovered she had facial hair and was cross-eyed, it said. The ambassador told an Islamic Sharia court in the United Arab Emirates that he was tricked into the marriage as the woman's mother had shown his own mother pictures of her sister instead of her, the report said. He sued for the contract to be annulled and also demanded the woman pay him 500,000 dirhams ($156,330) for clothes, jewellery and other gifts he had bought for her. The court annulled the contract but rejected the ambassador's demand for compensation. The report did not identify the ambassador nor give any further details. dubai_phil Posted 12 February, 2010 Share Posted 12 February, 2010 Considering it is the Telegraph and we also found it on a Polish web-site as long as we only make comments such as. Shame, she could have had a great career in a travelling show 150 years ago we should be fine.

Not being funny but why would he spend $156,330 on clothes and jewellery for her when she goes around in a niqab?
