Before I supported saints, I thought that their was only two things that smelt like fish; and one of them was fish, after going to watch saints play pimply it did not take me long to learn that their is in fact three.

At St. Marys this afternoon and the police are erecting a large metal fence to divide fans..

Spoke with cops who wer doing it and they were quite friendly.

The cordon consists of 2 rows of metal walls about 25 feet apart. In the gap the police can freely pass. In the walls there are 2 or 3 doors/gates fRom which the 'snatch squads' can operate. The walls stretch from gas compund fencing to the walls of St. Marys between gates H and J.

I asked who they got it from. They said it was theirs and was for used chem. hazard, nuclear incidents and public order situations.

 

Totally over the top if you ask me.

 

Could they not put a roof on it an run a pipe in from the gasworks?

Don't be surprised then if the whole of Brittania Rd is closed to saints fans after the match meaning a longer walk up marine parade thru the estate or round the stadium and over the footbridge.

 

Half of Hampshire OB will probably be at the ticket office area....

the last home match against them they had fencing up wither side of the car sales place to stop their fans getting at the saints fans. they also had a cordon separating the fans at Britania Road so Saints could not use it. They did it because the 1st time they came here they had 2 OB stood in the car place and about 30 pompey fans overran them trying to get at the saints fans leaving throwing stones etc. after they rioted at krap Notarf last time out you cant really blame the OB

actually the riot was the season before that when they won 1-0....couldn't believe the amount of rubble on the floor we had to walk over on the way back to the station after OB kept us in and escorted us back.
