Sven has left his job at Notts County as the new takeover isn't going to take them to the Premiership like he thought the previous one would.

 

1) Nicole Cortese wants a director of football/sporting director at some point.

 

2) Sven wanted a club he can build to the Premiership.

 

His reported £40k wages at Notts County would obviously be a factor. But IF he came here on much lower wages he would raise the profile of Saints and may help attract better players. As long as he leaves the managing to Pardew it could work well "in theory".

No thanks - our last experience with DOF wasn't all that it was supposed to be and I'm not convinced we need one.
