Apparently the 2010 F1 grand Prix at Silverstone will be run on the new 'arena' layout, says the BBC news ticker.

Anyone know what parts of the track will and will not be used?

If you'd clicked on the ticker-tape you'd know.

I knew that the new MotoGP track layout would use some new infield parts, so it wouldn't be a simple, squirt, brake, lean over, back up and squirt again, track anymore. I thought the F1 people would use the existing/old layout. It appears they like the new layout. Funnily enough, some of the MotoGP guys would prefer the old layout. No pleasing some people. :)

I must of caught it when it was breaking news as the ticker tape wasn't a hyperlink.

Looks interesting that, not sure where the 3 new overtaking opportunities comes from though

Ah, ok.

On the overtaking front. Just watch a MotoGP race. There will be more overtaking than you can shake a stick at. ;)
